I'm a copywriter, drowning in a sea of copywriters. I'm fighting against economic tidal shifts, and a shark like 'race to the bottom' with budgets slashed and higher delivery expectations. This means competing on LinkedIn. Many of us (myself included) are posting content without real purpose or strategy to catch a bite. The two-day workshop was eye-opening and hit on some pretty big things I know I need to be doing, but I'm avoiding. My biggest takeaway (which I'm going to have pinned to my desk) is 'What got you here won't get you there' - a very powerful reminder that to take things up to the next level requires thinking differently and doing differently. Relying on referrals may have worked up to this point, but it means I'm not in control of my income, so doing outreach and the sales work (plus tracking it!) is a must. Dan was great at explaining things in a relatable way, no shaming or judgment and having everyone in a similar boat on the call to you, experiencing the same struggles and wobbles, was reassuring to know it's not just a 'me' thing! I've got lots of work to do, but it all feels possible and less overwhelming!

I'm a branding and travel photographer and am currently redefining who I serve and how and also looking to massively increase income and create some predictability and stability. My nervous system has had enough! Dan's workshop was very powerful. It really highlighted both the key steps that are necessary to make this big leap and the reasons I've not done this yet! This includes looking at the personal blocks and habits that prevent change and growth as well as the actions (or inactions!) that are shaping your reality. Whilst in many ways it feels daunting to realise how much is missing from my business process (why can't I just be a brilliant photographer!), Dan is so calming and pragmatic that you feel it's all achievable one step at a time, if you just show up and take action. The workshop is really insightful and leads you, with clarity, through the whys and hows - which include leading with clarity! He literally puts into practice what he talks about, he has both strategy and genuine warmth and empathy, and makes it all look natural.
