This course is definitely worth it. The self-paced study helps to get it done while not impacting your workload and helps to process the Information in your own time.

Understanding of safety in lifting and rigging was a really good refresher. Thorough knowledge of rigging and cranes functionality helps to counter the on-site difficulties to start with and makes the job smooth to execute on the grounds.

I would certainly recommend the course to people involved in delivery of the works and emphasize on practicing the knowledge in your role as much as you can.

I believe working with crane only gets more and more exciting as you know more.

Jag Sandhu

Site Engineer at EBTA

I thoroughly enjoyed the approach of the course. Liam did an excellent job of blending theory with real-world applications, which made the learning process both engaging and relevant.

The interactive demonstrations and clear explanations helped reinforce key concepts effectively. Before taking this course, my understanding of cranes was fairly basic.

I now have a much deeper appreciation of how different crane types function, the importance of load charts, and the critical safety measures that need to be followed.

The course really opened my eyes to the complexities involved in crane operation and planning. I gained several valuable skills from the training, including how to properly read and interpret crane load charts, assess site conditions, and understand the mechanics behind crane stability and lifting capacity. The emphasis on safety protocols and risk management was particularly impactful.

The most important takeaway for me was how crucial it is to plan every lift carefully and to always prioritize safety. The course emphasized that even minor oversights can lead to serious consequences, and it gave me the tools to be much more proactive and confident in my decision-making on-site.

I would absolutely recommend Crane Class to others in my position. Whether you're new to the field or looking to refresh your knowledge, the course delivers practical, essential training that can help elevate both safety and performance in the workplace.

If every course in the construction industry was delivered like this one, training would be a whole lot more enjoyable—and far more effective.

Liam has a remarkable ability to break down complex concepts and explain how cranes are designed to work in a way that truly clicks. This course doesn’t just tick a box; it empowers site teams with the knowledge they need to plan more safely and operate more efficiently.

From understanding ground bearing pressures to reeving of hooks, boom configuration optimization, and much more, it shines a light on the critical details that often go unnoticed—but can make all the difference. There are things we think we know, and things we really need to know—this course bridges that gap.

For anyone involved with cranes, I genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough. It should be a mandatory prerequisite for any team member working around or with cranes. An absolute game-changer Thanks Liam

I recently attended a crane course run by Liam from Crane Class that provided me with a solid understanding of cranes and their practical applications.

The training covered essential aspects of crane operation and safety, equipping me with valuable knowledge to apply when assessing lifting works on-site.

The course was informative, and highly relevant to real-world construction scenarios. I would highly recommend it to anyone working in the construction industry looking to enhance their skills and ensure safe lifting practices.

Liam has done a fantastic job building a crane course that gives you the cranes and lifting fundamentals from beginner knowledge that builds on week by week over 6 modules.

The major take away for me, in my role as a safety professional is understanding lift planning documentation and how can I validate the lift planning has been done safely.

I would highly recommend this training for anyone that wants a better appreciation for cranes and lifting.

I recently completed the Lift Operations Specialist course at Crane Class, and I highly recommend it to anyone involved in lift planning operations—whether you're a supervisor, rigger, operator, project manager, or engineer. Liam has done an exceptional job delivering this first-of-its-kind course in Australia. It's packed with valuable information, covering everything from lift studies, crane setup, and specifications to load charts, ground bearing pressure, fly jib attachments, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice. The course also delves into a variety of topics like vario-base, vario-ballast and superlift. Liam’s extensive knowledge of cranes and lift planning makes this course a must for anyone in the crane industry or those looking to expand their expertise in lifting operations.

My project EBTA, gave me the opportunity to learn more about cranes, rigging and all things lifting. I have had plenty of experience developing lift plans and completing lifts. Liams course started from the basics and building blocks and explained why and how cranes worked. The technically knowledge that I gain for this will honestly be a huge help to my career and my future lifts. Weekly sessions with Liam to talk about any questions anyone had was great. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about lifting. EBTA did the session over two weeks which was a lot of material to get through - i would recommend the course be spread over 3 weeks - just so you don't have to rush through the material, as it so detailed and its important to spend the time and absorb it.

Braddon Buckley

Project Engineer - BMS Heavy Cranes (Australia)

1. What I enjoyed most about this course, was the tips and tricks to understand the various crane configurations and options, for a variety of manufacturers and crane types. 2. This course has improved my crane knowledge immensely. I have learned the 'best way' to approach things from someone with years of heavy lifting experience for a range of crane types. 3. I gained skills in understanding rigging, mobilisation of cranes, transport considerations, CoG, equalising triangles and the charts used for design and lift planning. 4. The top thing I have taken away from this course is the key considerations to look for in: (i) a lift plan, (ii) a site with constraints, (iii) navigating the charts to find the information I require, and (iv) identifying hazards on a lifting site. 5. Yes, I would absolutely recommend Crane Class to others, as it is delivered with a great balance between technical, practical and industry relevant considerations.
