Vice President, Internal Audit @ Ball Corporation

Just a shout-out to the Internal Audit Collective as I have, once again, recently experienced the collaborative nature of its members. I find it very easy and useful to tap into the combined experiences and skills of the IA Collective. It is great to be part of a group of audit professionals that genuinely care about advancing and improving our profession by sharing information with their peers. While I still make good use of resources from the IIA and other CAE networking opportunities, the Internal Audit Collective has quickly risen to the top of my networking resource list since its inception early this year. I would highly recommend the IA Collective to both CAEs and internal auditors at any level.

I’ve been a proud member of the Internal Audit Collective since April 2025. When Tom O'Reilly first invited me to join, I was hesitant. With so many platforms already in my daily mix—Teams, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Nextdoor, not to mention all the kid-related portals—it felt like just one more thing to keep up with. I wasn’t sure I needed another space to manage. But I’m so glad I took the leap. What I’ve found in the Internal Audit Collective is so much more than another online platform. It’s a vibrant, inclusive community of internal audit professionals who are genuinely passionate about advancing our field. It’s a safe, collaborative space where we can ask questions, share insights, and exchange ideas without judgment. What’s been most valuable to me is the sense of connection and support. Internal audit teams can often feel siloed, especially when navigating complex issues without a broad network to turn to. The Internal Audit Collective bridges that gap by offering a trusted space to get real-time, actionable feedback and to learn from the diverse experiences of peers across industries. As part of the Internal Audit Collective, I’ve participated in CPE-eligible webinars, focused roundtables, and one-on-one mentoring, and I’ve truly appreciated the professional camaraderie that comes from engaging with others who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of our role. Joining the Internal Audit Collective has been a refreshing and rewarding experience—one I wholeheartedly recommend to any internal auditor looking to grow, connect, and thrive.

I joined the Internal Audit Collective as a Founding Member in January 2025 and am so thankful for this community. Tapping into the collective knowledge of Internal Audit professionals of all levels and experiences to seek knowledge, understanding, guidance, insight, and connection is invaluable. It’s having real-world experience at your fingertips from members that are willing to share and help us all succeed as internal auditors. I highly recommend the IAC for anyone in the Internal Audit profession that is looking to connect and learn how to apply theory to practice.

I joined the Internal Audit Collective as a Founding Member earlier this year, and it has quickly become one of the most valuable communities in my professional network. Tom O'Reilly has done an exceptional job bringing together a diverse group of experienced audit and internal controls professionals, creating a space where real-time collaboration and knowledge sharing thrive. The ability to tap into the collective knowledge and experience of Audit and SOX leaders—often within hours of posing a question—has provided me with real-time solutions and fresh perspectives. The conversations are always insightful, and the roundtables create a space for open, candid dialogue on today’s most pressing challenges for Internal Audit professionals. This community truly bridges the gap between theory and real-world practice. I highly recommend it to any auditor, internal controls or risk professional looking to grow, connect, and stay ahead. As an added bonus, the Collective also serves as a great platform to share open roles and receive quality candidate referrals from trusted peers! #InternalAudit #SOX

Manager, Risk Management @ GoDaddy

After a transformative decade with PwC, I joined the Internal Audit Collective as a founding member during my first transition to an industry role. I joined because I had a focus on fostering my professional network in my “post-firm” life and I was eager to add to my professional tool-kit, exploring new ways in which I could best lead and develop a world class risk function in my next role. Being part of the Internal Audit Collective is like having hundreds of fellow SOX and Internal Audit leaders on speed dial. As a founding member, it has been inspiring to witness the rapid growth of the IAC platform and its culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support. For any Risk, SOX, or IA leader, the IAC is an invaluable resource and an effortless choice. I also participated in the inaugural SOX Accelerator Program. It was impressive to partake in a program that effectively catered to both seasoned professionals and emerging leaders. Whether you want to level-up your skills or fine-tune your expertise, the SOX Accelerator Program provides a powerful combination of timely topics and engaging open-forum discussions, fostering deeper insights and meaningful interactions among peers and industry thought leaders.
