When I first selected East Tenth Childcare, my primary motivation was simple: its close proximity to my home. However, as I've spent more time there, I've discovered countless reasons to stay—and I want to share them with you.
East Tenth isn’t just a childcare facility; it’s a nurturing, family-oriented community that offers an array of resources for families from all walks of life. One of the standout features is the opportunity for parents to volunteer in the classroom and participate in field trips. These experiences create a strong bond between families and educators, making the environment even more supportive.
The center also goes above and beyond by organizing field trips that many families might not typically be able to afford. From exciting visits to Indiana Beach to thrilling Fever games, these adventures enrich our children's experiences and create lasting memories.
The holiday spirit is alive at East Tenth, too. The joy of family reading nights and the thoughtful Christmas gifts bring everyone together, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
If you’re looking for safe, affordable, and family-oriented childcare, look no further than East Tenth. It’s more than just a place to leave your child; it’s a vibrant community that truly supports families.

We heard good things about E. 10th from a friend who used to run a home daycare center, so we got on the waitlist early but were planning on splitting a nanny share. A few weeks before my parental leave ended, we had to pivot our plans and we sent our daughter to another center where there was an immediate opening. I did not feel comfortable with her being there and I hated leaving her, often trying to keep her home with me throughout the day or drop her off as late as possible.
When E. 10th reached out about a month later, we immediately came to tour the center and felt at home as soon as we pulled in. I sensed that E. 10th was truly a community and their policies and practices made it clear that they saw their families as more than just paying customers. I felt that I was sending my daughter somewhere she would be safe and nurtured and also would be free to learn and grow with her classmates. I felt respected and embraced by her teachers who were communicative, compassionate and so attuned to our daughter. As I've gotten to know more of the staff and community, I feel so grateful that we get to be a part of this space and I feel empowered and encouraged to participate as a community member. Having quality and affordable childcare is something for which we feel incredibly lucky. Without having family nearby who can help us raise our daughter, East 10th truly has become our extended family

We discovered East Tenth in 2021 and our concerns for the well-being of our children quickly subsided. Their use of "conscious discipline", which teaches children about their emotions and responses, was more aligned with our values than punishment. They also provide ongoing parenting education and other resources that provide assistance for the whole family. The staff is welcoming, talented and inspiring. Our kids have had amazing experiences from the infant room to the school-age program. We have seen consistent joy and imagination in the students and teachers alike. This isn't just a school, it's a community.

We moved to East 10th because we were interested in their compassionate, research-based approach to pre-K. We stayed because we saw the teachers and staff, day after day, living out the organization’s values.
Teammates treat each other with dignity and respect. They aren’t afraid to have difficult conversations when the inevitable challenge arises. And they communicate openly with parents. Our gratitude brings tears to our eyes.

From the first day we set foot at East 10th, the warmth of the staff and happiness of the children made us feel comfortable leaving our preschooler there. Today we are 100% an East 10th family, with 4 of our children in after school care/ break care and one toddler who has been there since she was 3 months old, we wouldn't have them stay anywhere else. And neither would they.
