Your interview course helped me land my second DREAM JOB! I actually have 7 years experience but it has been 5 years since my last interview. I know your books helped me get my first dream job in surgery, so when I went back to review them I found your new course. My new job offer is for my first-choice company in my first-choice location and my first-choice schedule for the salary I asked for. Not to mention other positive perks; I am in complete shock. HOW DO I SAY THANK YOU! Maybe all of that information is available somewhere in google land, but I did not have much time to prepare and your course gave me all the fine-tuning and comforting I needed, from researching facilities to understanding the purpose of the behavioral questions, to the exact wording of thank you notes. It absolutely made a difference for me.

The course I took was "Hired". This course work was helpful, yes, I've been a nurse for 15 years, but, it's still incredibly intimidating to go before a panel interview for the job you wanted 15 years ago and just had a hard time getting there due to family constraints, bullying enviroments, etc. I think the best thing about this course was that I came prepared. I already had my questions written down and I could focus even though I was so nervous (nervous because this was for a surgical nurse training program). I got the job! I will start in the PONI program (Perioperative Nurse training program) on March 3 at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO.

[MED-SURG MINDSET] Hannah's task list is a game changer. I just got a new job as a medsurg nurse in an LTAC. I am usually doing well at the start of the shift, but I tend to lose track of the things I needed to do in the afternoon around lunch time, and long after all the scheduled morning medications have already been given to my patients. After I made some modifications to the task list to specifically address the routine tasks I have on the floor where I currently work, the form certainly helped take off the pressure I often felt prior to discovering this very effective and handy tool. I truly appreciate this section, and I am also fully grateful that I purchased the full dose program. Every course is worth so much more than what I paid for. Thank you so much!

I took the mini course and I think it was really helpful! I am not a new grad but I have worked in administrative nursing roles for many years and am transitioning to bedside nursing and have much to re-learn. I found these tips to be realistic and supportive with just the right amount of tips for how to jump this "new" hurdle. I have been practicing giving report and most have gone fine but there were a few that were disorganized and annoying even to me.....so when the oncoming nurse was snarky, it did make me feel very insecure. This mini course has a couple great tips for those situations and I appreciated them. I will seek more of these classes to support myself in this transition. Thanks!

I'm new to the US and previously worked in the Philippines as HD and also in the Medicine unit. Part of my plan is to go back in bedside nursing and step out also in my comfort zone in dialysis and this course is really helpful and gave me a glimpse on what to do if ill be hired in the MedSurg unit. Dealing with rude staffs, Stay on the ground and do not internalize are the things that impacted me since knowing my personality that I tend to be affected if I'm being questioned with people showing condescending behavior. It will actually sometimes faze my performance sometimes. I really appreciate staffs who are very willing to teach newbies like me.

I took a year break after graduation and passing the NCLEX, so reviewing the content materials in the New Nurse Master Class was helpful to feel ready and confident to begin working even after time off. Watching your videos feels like "kicking back with a friend." I love your laid-back teaching style and the way you deliver information. I understand A-fib more than ever now that you compared the AV node to a bouncer, and electrical impulses like drunk people trying to force their way into a club. [NEURO WISE] Fantastic course!! I'm grateful to have this content for continued reference! I would definitely recommend it to all new neuro nurses and those in other specialties who wish to have a deeper understanding of the neuro realm! The modules were concise but very informative! I love the explanations of the pathologies and the assessment information with examples! I will definitely be able to take this knowledge to the bedside to help me become a more proficient neuro nurse! Assessment videos were very helpful! I work on a neuro med-surg unit, so most of the modules were applicable for providing either refreshers or an increase in understanding on relevant topics. (Some content was more for ICU but it is still great to know about, and maybe someday I'll venture to that specialty!)

[MED-SURG MINDSET] I absolutely loved it, it is a long story but in short, this literally changed my nursing life and myself. I am a baby nurse who is about to start working as a nurse in 2 weeks! I used this course for like 3 weeks to 1 month and I absolutely loved it. What's special about this course, is that it's touching and very educational. I was not ready at all even though I passed with 75 questions on the NCLEX; I can surely say this course prepared me to be a successful nurse (maybe more than my school...). It literally runs through from A (once you wake up to get ready for the shift=mindset) to Z (sign off and report to next shift nurse). The details that this course contains is AMAZING, it touches on everything (it is the perfect course for future perfect nurses). Honestly, I don't feel I am alone in this journey and have Katie in the background talking and encouraging me when I am down. I really really loved your course so much and am definitely looking forward to trying other courses. This course got your back!

I really appreciated the personal anecdotes and recommendations on substance use disorder, discharge planning for complex cases (ie., patients without an address), and end of life care, especially because these topics were not thoroughly reviewed or taught in nursing school. You provided real world experiences as bedside nurses that provided more context into what med-surg nursing is all about. The whole course was thorough and I learned new things that I will definitely apply in my nursing practice. The end of life care really hit home for me, especially because I have had several comfort care patients and my grandfather is currently on hospice. I wish I had completed this course before my first year as a med-surg nurse. Overall, I feel more prepared in having completed this course. Thank you so much for creating this website and developing these courses so thoughtfully. I am so grateful!

[NEW NURSE MASTER CLASS] I appreciated the well rounded nature of the course- from nursing skills, etc. to self care and sleeping. I also really appreciated including other members of the care team and what they do, and how to be respectful (cool vs. not cool- nurses are notoriously NOT cool to environmental services, thanks for mentioning our hard working co-workers.) I really enjoyed the section on providers and the interviews with APP and PT. The structure of the hospital is hard to understand, this course really helped. The communication tips are excellent and very helpful. This course lays out "a day in the life" of what a real nursing shift in a hospital looks like, which helps me feel significantly less lost as a new nurse new to hospital care. The time management, patient flow etc., are super helpful and practical. Including specific examples (like the patient who refuses therapy and meals, or the ICU nurse who copies previous documentation) help make the concepts you teach tangible, and I personally can better retain information that is attached to a story. Great course, thank you.

[BREAKTHROUGH ICU] I had been recommending this course and your free content on my unit for WEEKS. Nobody seemed super interested. I left out a copy of your ICU drip chart at my nurses station one shift… lo and behold I suddenly noticed photocopies of it at the other nurse stations, taped to other more experienced RNs' clipboards. It even showed up in my 'helpful references file' from our unit educator… funny thing. After that, I had a few nurses approach me to ask about this course, saying that our manager suggested they ask me about it. I raved, of course!!

When I was in nursing school, I would occasionally be paired with the preceptor whom the manager would call her "#1 coach" (and she was fantastic), and I remember thinking, I want to be like that preceptor someday... I've been wanting to be a preceptor ever since nursing school, and this course is exactly what I was looking for to help improve my confidence and prepare for this role. I finished my first week at the orientation on the Med/Surge unit, and I felt like I was all over the place. It is hard for me to catch up on things as senior nurses do everything fast and automatically; they do not go deep into explaining what they just did or why. I feel like they expect you to know it already. But I cannot know everything; that is my first nursing job, and all of my clinicals were online through vSim and Shadow Health due to COVID. You cannot learn from that?! I am grateful I found "FreshRN." That is exactly what I needed. I admire how Kati Kleber explains stuff easily and understandably in a friendly manner. I just finished the Nursing Report Basics and I am about to dig into the Med-Surge course. Thank you for everything you do for new nurses.

I'm 4 weeks off of orientation in the ED and had my first experience with Afib with RVR a couple nights ago. It was chaotic for me because I didn't fully grasp what was happening. I knew it was an extremely urgent matter, but I had little understanding about the pathophysiology of Afib with RVR and the treatments to be ordered. This mini course really opened my eyes to the WHY it's urgent. Kati breaks down a complex topic into an easy to understand analogy, which I'm certain I'm going to be able to retain. I'm slightly more confident how that I'll be able to go into my next Afib with RVR with a little more ease. THANK YOU!

Hi Kati- I am a new grad nurse on a neuro floor and I took your Neuro Wise course and the New Nurse Masterclass. I have never worked in acute care before, and your courses have been extremely helpful to explain the flow/day in the life of acute care nursing and how a hospital works. The neuro course has been spot on in covering the disease processes, procedures, diagnostics, labs etc. that are the norm for my unit, and which are NOT covered in nursing school. As a brand new nurse, your courses feel like having a preceptor come along side and teach me all the things I need to know, and have helped me feel not so lost and overwhelmed.
