Living over 100 miles away, I could no longer handle the self-management of my property. My friend recommended Steve and Good Life Property Management and I am in the process of setting everything up and signing the paperwork to proceed with their property management services. I know it's really preliminary to write a review (especially since our contract doesn't officially start until January 1st), but I wanted to share in my positive experience thus far. My first contact there was Chloe, who was really helpful in explaining their services and answering my questions. When I decided to proceed, I was then connected with Irma and Steve. The document submission and online set up were really easy. Since I already had tenants in the unit, I had a call with Steve to let him know of what was going on with them and what to be on the lookout for. For his part, he shared some valuable feedback regarding the legalities of doing things a certain way, which I really appreciated. One major thing I had going on (which I wanted to complete before handing over the management duties) was the delivery of a new refrigerator and washer/dryer center. The refrigerator was successfully delivered and installed, however, I had to fix the frozen water valves for the w/d before it could be installed. Seeking a plumber to quickly fix the problem, I called Good Life to see who they typically use. They provided two referrals and I was able to get one of them out the next day (yay!). Then came a grueling 5 days of me calling Lowe's and being on hold for hours in order to reschedule the installation of the new w/d and haul away of the old one. I finally got a date set up and the night before, a Lowes associate told me it would be a morning appointment, which worked for my tenant. The morning of the installation, I got a robocall from Lowes telling me it was an afternoon installation...which was NOT good for my tenant. I was heading into my child's holiday show when all of this was going on, so I frantically texted Steve, who said someone from his team could assist with being there for the afternoon installation if need be (and if my tenants were okay with it). A weight was immediately lifted off my shoulders and my stress level dropped down a few notches. Talk about going above and beyond!! Luckily, Lowes arrived during the short period of time my tenant was available in the afternoon so we didn't need Good Life to be there. The gesture really went a long way though! Looking forward to working with Steve and Good Life!
