The task of putting into words what has taken place over the last 5 months is nearly impossible. To attempt to sum up my time with Dr. Kolby, for those who enjoy a short read: LIFE-CHANGING TRANSFORMATION took place. To those who are curious about the nitty gritty detail because you’ve experienced failure with other providers before, here we go… My health journey, like many, has been life-long. I suffered significantly as a child and teen with numerous conditions, including but not limited to gastrointestinal issues, mental health struggles, joint pain, nervous system dysregulation, respiratory distress, skin disruptions, and significant allergies. This leaked into my time in college, higher education studies, and beyond. I have sought help from numerous primary care physicians, neurologists, ENTs, gastroenterologists, neuro-optometrists, physical therapists, internists, rheumatologists, chiropractors, and functional medicine providers. After the initial feeling of hope, and most of the time, significant financial investment and effort, I found I was always left with minimal to no progress, and back to the search for more answers. Great experience working with Dr. Alex. I had gotten sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, even though traditional testing and medicine said I was "Normal". Through the testing, education, and sessions with Haven, I learned what works and does not work for my body. Changed so much of what I put into and how I work with my body. It resulted in lost body fat, better sleep, more energy. Most importantly I gained an improved sensitivity that allows me to be more intune with my body. Everything was highly personalized and done at a pace so that shifts could be integrated into my everyday life. Haven Holistic Health is such a great medical practitioner that helps to meet easily over Zoom and also provides all the necessary testing and medical information required. The testing was more in-depth than any other traditional doctor, which helped them figure out my intolerances. I did not know I had a dairy allergy for the past 15 or more years and was dealing with migraines and seizures for most of that time. Thanks to their tests and knowledge on better foods I haven't had as many issues with upset stomachs or migraines/seizures. Further, they go well beyond just food to look at lifestyle changes and other daily factors that play a part in our health. If you haven't had luck with traditional medical practices or just want to be a better version of yourself, these are the people to meet with to discuss a plan for a better future.

I've really appreciated Haven's perspective on gut health. They were able to recommend a couple tweaks to my diet (I'd been grasping at straws, eliminating the wrong foods) that improved my digestion after a particularly poor spell. Those recommendations - coupled with a broad-spectrum, holistic SIBO regime - have left my digestion in a much spot than it was when I started with Haven!
