I recently purchased ‘Pathfinder: A beginner’s guide to hiking success’. I have been hiking and backpacking both in Australia and Asia since the late 1960’s and have learnt a lot from the wisdom of others, but mostly by trial and error. I was looking for a complete beginner’s guide to help my daughter who now has the hiking bug and ‘Pathfinder’ fits the bill. It is a well written and credible resource. Well done Mowser!

Thanks for the opportunity for feedback, very smart and very professional.
The major thing this has provided is the ability to target my training, specifically, to give me the ability to focus on specific training routines for specific outcomes. I have started working with my physio/EP on things that the training has exposed as current physical limitations, shortcomings my body currently has if you like.
The flexibility of this planner, and the ability to customise the way I use it makes it so versatile, it will suit me at all stages of my fitness and preparedness journey, just brilliant, love it. I also use the meal prep one as well, the ability to 'cross-reference' between the two, I feel, makes a much more holistic approach to general overall wellbeing. I am a veteran, and this has helped me on a number of levels in dealing with some of my service-related conditions, it's helping me improve my own life. Thank you so much mate.

The Walking Your Way to Hiking Fitness plan helped me get in shape for an upcoming 3-day hike. Walking a lot more in daily life and doing the exercises made a difference, and it was great to have a plan to follow.
The Hiking Cheatsheet was also a great reference tool as it summed up a lot of the information I had seen in the videos.

To prep for the overland track I made sure I walked 10000 steps most days (Mowser tip) and added weights(Mowser tip) to my back pack and walked a 30 minute hill climb on the treadmill. Both tips meant my legs were well prepared for the track and will use these tips again - Thankyou.

I don't come from an environment with many hiking opportunities, but had dreamed with it for a long time.
I have been assembling my kit for over an year, buying small pieces, testing in day hikes.
But when the day has come to get the sleeping system and backpack, it was nerve racking.
It was so much money even for "budget" options and I was confused in how to test and evaluate certain things.
Specifically with the backpack, I turned to Mowser for help, and within a day, I was surprised. He had actually read everything I said, understood the problem and put real effort in giving me good advice.
I'm really happy to have made an informed decision on my backpack and am excited for the arrival of spring to put everything to use.
I really appreciate the support and guidance on this step that for many people might be trivial, but was really difficult for me due to my lack of experience and advice.

The fitness planner is a great help especially if you have no idea where to start with training. It is not scary as some training plans can be, it’s simple in set out and it’s all doable! Great that it’s set out to cover the different levels so you could start at beginner level and allowing time, could train your way up towards the more advanced level. Great that it contains strength training and walking. It’s good!

I downloaded the Mowser food planner and used it to plan my south coast hike. It was easy to edit as required adding new lines in the main sheet and new products. Having no real feel for how much food I would need I now know exactly how many calories I’ll be carrying and how much it weighs.

I found Mowser by chance and I thought I was getting a chat and advice. However I was shocked by the detailed report and itinerary he did for me and the level of time and effort put into it. If you don't live in Tassie are are hiking there then this should be part of your Pre-Hike admin. OUTSTANDING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!
