Mother of Daughter in Dire Straits

Just over a year ago, my daughter was struggling — with self-worth, friendships, school, and knowing who she was.

Then she met Matt.

And for the first time - even after little success working with a few therapists, she said, “Mom, I’ve never met anyone who’s made a bigger difference for me.”

Today, my daughter is still growing — but she’s thriving. She’s happy, confident, and showing up for others in ways she never could before.

There’s no doubt in my mind: none of this would’ve been possible without Matt’s coaching, compassion, and belief in her when she couldn’t believe in herself.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you, Matt.

I had been dealing with anxiety, stress, and overwhelm that was at times very crippling, and even when it wasn’t crippling it was low grade and annoying.

I already had all the answers I needed before the course, but I actually did not have the push to do the work and find them, then take action on them.

My mind has been re-opened to doing the investigative work to identify the issues (for me it’s particularly relationships) and then do the research and planning on how I need to address them.

I have been feeling overwhelmed, anxious and disconnected. The moments have been increasing over the past few months. It was occurring in my personal life as well as professionally.

I knew I have been under stress but to learn the definition of chronic stress, I can see that it was occurring at work and at home. At work, there have been significant changes and the economy is impacting the business. At home, I've become a primary support for my parents as they have encountered health challenges in the past few months.

I can now recognize the chronic stress cycle and work toward breaking the cycle. The times that I have felt overwhelmed, anxious and disconnected have decreased significantly by mid-week. I am able to recognize the cycle and then take action to break the cycle. There are still challenges in front of me but I feel better prepared.

Thank you Matt for your guidance over the past week. I look forward to working with you and the team in the future.

SaaS Owner

I've wanted something like this for years. As an entrepreneur who's been building and running a SaaS business for twelve years, I've had plenty of time to form some pretty engrained habits around thinking (worrying) about the many, many particles involved in doing so.

Even when circumstances were good and there were no fires to put out (and thus ostensibly nothing to worry about), I've suffered regularly from just feeling "on edge" by default, and wired when tired and trying to sleep. It's been this way for a LONG time. Meditation, exercise, deep breathing and the like gave only fleeting comfort.

Matthew's teachings in this challenge made it very clear why those things didn't actually fix anything, but more importantly how to address what's going on and actually calm my nervous system. For years I've just been doing hacks to turn off the "check engine" light, I'm now able to fix the engine.

I'm two weeks out and my sleep and waking state are already consistently much better, and I've got clear, regular practices to keep it up.

Certified Life Coach

I’ve been feeling like I couldn’t get out from under multiple stressors. Health, anxiety, loneliness. The past couple of years have been very hard mentally, emotionally, and physically. Long Covid and losing my Mom have taken a toll on me, and I feel very alone. It feels like I have a lot of “big rocks”.

I know I need to make changes; I’m making some, but I wanted guidance and new information, a new perspective. I’ve been feeling scattered, have sort of exhausted myself trying to research “cures”, and was hoping for some really solution-focused information.

I feel clearer and more grounded, and best of all, more hopeful. I am very aware that chronic stress is draining my energy and I really love the framework of addressing the root of it rather than doing a million stress management techniques a day. I’ve already used the Emotional Value chart/techniques on myself a couple of times when feeling a little anxiety or overwhelm. I’ve been saying the Prayer every day too, it’s really beautiful.

Thank you again! You’ve put together a great course and I’m excited to learn more from you and be coached by you. Everything just resonated with me so much, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was actually sad when it ended!

When I was struggling in school and in a difficult relationship, I felt completely defeated—hopeless, confused, and trapped in bouts of rage and anger. My parents were deeply concerned, constantly threatening to send me to therapy. At one of my darkest moments, they even considered sending me to the hospital because they were afraid I might hurt myself. As an ultimatum, my mom told me: ‘Either you talk to this Matt guy, or you’re going to the hospital.’ I was terrified to get on the phone because I thought I already knew what he was going to say—the same empty advice I’d heard before. But from the moment we started talking, it felt different. There was no judgment. Instead, Matt told me he completely understood why I felt the way I did. He even said that if he were in my shoes, perceiving things the way I was, he’d probably feel just as overwhelmed. That validation changed everything. Instead of trying to ‘fix’ me, Matt helped me understand my emotions, why they were so intense, and how to gain perspective on them. He taught me how to adjust my expectations, communicate better with my girlfriend and parents, and navigate school in a way that didn’t feel so unpredictable and chaotic. Now, as I look ahead at all the decisions I have to make, I feel more empowered than ever. I have the tools to handle whatever comes my way, and while I know Matt is always there if I need support, I’m realizing just how capable I really am. If you feel lost, overwhelmed, or like nothing will ever change, I promise you—there’s a way through. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Single Mom & Business Owner

A friend recommended Matt to me after seeing me completely overwhelmed, spiraling under the weight of everything on my plate. As a single mom and a business owner managing over 20 employees, I felt like I was barely holding it together. When I first spoke to Matt, I told him outright—I was a mess. I doubted I’d even be able to keep my appointments, let alone make real progress. I had spent so long putting myself last that I didn’t believe anything would change. Matt didn’t pressure me. He told me he understood and that he wouldn’t give up on me as long as I was willing to make any effort at all. When I missed a few appointments in a row, I told him it was pointless, that I should just quit. Instead of judging me, he reminded me that he was there whenever I was ready. That small act of patience and support made all the difference—I took a chance, showed up to my next session, and I haven’t missed one since. Through this work, I’ve learned to trust myself, honor what I’m feeling, and finally give myself permission to stop putting everyone else’s needs ahead of my own. The shift has been profound. I’ve started attracting more supportive people into my life, and my business has transformed—I recently hired three new employees who have made an enormous impact. Instead of constantly feeling like I’m battling to keep things afloat, I’m building a team that collaborates with me and brings the same passion and dedication that I do. Beyond my business, I’ve also learned to set better boundaries—especially in my personal relationships. I’ve become more discerning about who I allow into my life, which has changed everything, including my dating life. For the first time in a long time, I feel in control, supported, and aligned with myself. If you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck in a cycle of putting yourself last, it doesn't have to be this way. And it starts with showing up for yourself.

I first met Matt when he was a trainer and teacher at a personal development company. While many leaders in that space were helpful, there was something different about Matt—I always left our conversations feeling truly empowered. When he eventually left the organization, I began questioning my own experiences there and sought him out. Talking to Matt affirmed what I had been feeling for years. I had spent so much time immersed in that personal development system—practicing their meditations, attending intensive weekend programs, and constantly working on my beliefs. Yet, no matter how much I did, I always felt like I wasn’t enough—like there was always something fundamentally wrong with me that needed fixing. The emotional patterns I was trying to ‘work through’ never seemed to go away, no matter how much effort I put in. Matt helped me shift my perspective entirely. He showed me that I wasn’t broken, that my emotions weren’t flaws to be fixed, but signals to be understood. He taught me how to trust myself, listen to my emotions, and integrate what they were communicating rather than trying to suppress or override them. Coming from a toxic family environment with an abusive, narcissistic mother, I had spent years believing I was the problem. Working with Matt has been one of the most empowering things I’ve ever done. I finally feel connected to myself, I trust myself, and I have the tools to navigate whatever challenges life brings. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of self-improvement that never quite brings relief, I can tell you—there’s another way. And it changes everything.

When I first started working with Matt, I felt like my life was unraveling. My marriage was hanging by a thread—my wife had threatened to leave more than once. Work felt like a dead end, and I was drowning in stress without even realizing it. I had tried couples therapy, individual therapy—nothing seemed to help. As a last resort, I reached out to Matt on a recommendation from my trainer. What I didn’t understand at the time was how deeply stress had taken hold of me. My body was stuck in a chronic state of tension, and I was relying on four or five beers a night just to take the edge off. But through Matt’s approach, I learned how to truly recognize and regulate my stress, rather than letting it control me. The impact was transformational. I began showing up differently for my wife, my daughter (who was struggling with ADD), and even in my career. The same tools that helped me rebuild my relationships also propelled me forward professionally—I went from feeling stuck to becoming a senior executive at a Fortune 200 company. More importantly, I now have a level of connection and communication with my family that I never thought possible. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burnt out, I can tell you firsthand—this work changes lives.

Matt’s been my life coach for more than 8 years and I wouldn’t miss a session. You’ll never get a more balanced, educated, and compassionate advisor. He’s constantly growing and learning himself, so he’s always there with you (or ahead of you in my case) on your evolutionary path. Traditional counseling only went so far. Matt takes you so much farther. With his multi-disciplinary approach, he’s also helped me through numerous physical challenges (4 surgeries) and chronic pain that weren’t resolved through the limited regimens of traditional PT. You really get the whole person treatment with Matt. I now live two states away and he hasn’t skipped a beat. Very thankful. Keep up the good work, Matt!

I cannot recommend Matt highly enough—trying to summarize my experience with him in a short testimonial feels nearly impossible. When I first began working with Matt, I was at one of my lowest points, struggling to leave an emotionally tumultuous relationship.

Matt not only helped me rediscover my self-worth, but he has also been a consistent, supportive presence in my ongoing journey of personal growth. He gave me the tools to work with my emotions rather than be controlled by them, which transformed the way I navigate all aspects of my life—whether in relationships, work, or within myself.

What sets Matt apart is his ability to provide guidance that is both insightful and practical. He offers tangible, relatable examples that not only validate my experiences but also push me to expand my perspective and take meaningful action.

Because of this work, I’ve gained confidence, clarity, and emotional resilience. I’m now in the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had, and I’ve learned how to trust myself, stay connected to who I am, and create a life that is truly fulfilling.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, or navigating difficult emotions, working with Matt is a decision you’ll never regret.

- I began working with Matt because I was having extreme panic attacks and my mom suggested him. I was worried about starting with a new therapist, but after I met him I realized I really liked working with him. - Before Matt I had at least 4 different therapists, tried numerous depression/anxiety/ADHD medications, and I also tried hypnotherapy but none worked like Matt. - I do not use medication, my anxiety attacks have dropped significantly, I am feeling way more comfortable in my skin, and I rely less on other people. - The best thing about working with Matt is that I AM WORKING WITH MATT. I love talking to him and in every session, I learn something new about myself and even about something random. I feel extremely comfortable talking with Matt because he makes me feel like I can talk about anything and not be judged. - I would say at least try and see if you like it. If you work with him you have to be okay with hearing honesty because he won't lie just to make you feel better. He tells you what you need to hear.
