Freelance copywriter @ Project B Marketing
I'm Jo and I've been running my own freelance business for almost 12 years now, but for almost 9 of those I worked pretty much alone 👩🏼💻 That's why this magazine has such a special place in my ❤️, from the minute I opened my first issue I instantly felt welcome, like I was already a member of a big, friendly community. It's always packed full of helpful advice, tips and learnings, and even better it's connected me to so many other brilliant freelance peeps for chats, collabs, and friendship. If you haven't read it yet then get your hands on a copy pronto to avoid the freelance FOMO! It's bloody brilliant and you won't be disappointed. Goes perfectly with a cuppa and a biscuit 😉 P.S. Did I mention that I LOVE it? 🫶 P.P.S. I love meeting other freelancers so come say hi over on Linked In 👋

I'm a translator, copy-editor and all-round English content troubleshooter. I love Freelancer Magazine for its refreshingly honest features on freelance life and its ups and downs. I look forward to receiving every issue - it's way more fun to read than other magazines I receive in the post ;-) It helps keep me motivated when the going gets tough.

Getting my Freelancer Magazine through the letterbox? It's the dopamine equivalent of not having a boss micromanaging me 24/7 🔥 I'm the website copywriter and consultant turning female entrepreneurs into THE go-to solution in their dream client's eyes. Oh, and a Freelancer Magazine subscriber since the very first issue 🤩 I don't miss the corporate world but I did use to feel 'alone' in my self-employed life, occasionally. Well, right from the first issue, this magazine made me feel connected to hundreds (if not thousands) of virtual collegaues—without having to put up with office politics

Content Writer & Social Media Manager @ The Mindful Gingernut
My name's Becky, but I'm also known as The Mindful Gingernut. I'm a freelance content writer & social media manager who has an inability to say no to learning new skills and things. I'm still new to Freelancer Magazine (having recently received my 2nd mag), but it already brings me so much joy. Partly because I'm old school and love receiving post, partly because it's square (!?! What's not to love about square mail!?!), but mostly because it's full of amazingly insightful articles and stuff. Keep spreading the joy Freelancer Magazine 😎

The Marketing Freelancer
I am a Marketing Freelancer - still feels weird saying that as it took me a long time to take the leap! Freelance Magazine is just amazing, it covers so many topics that help me, in so many areas. You know when you walk into IKEA and you find all the things you didn't know you needed - well that's what Freelancer Magazine is for me, all things freelance that I didn't know I needed to know! The best thing, without a doubt is the fact that it's a real life tangible magazine. The excitement when it drops through the letterbox is real!

I have been a Freelancer Magazine fan since day 1 when I saw a LinkedIn post promoting the idea to reach funds. It was so inspiring that I decided to be part of it even before I knew if the idea was going to materialise. I am glad it did! I remember when I got to read the first issue, I literally read it all! Issue after issue, I have been able to relate to some of the stories, taken tips, get some great ideas and realise that I am not on my own! The magazine is the only magazine I look forward reading. Thanks Freelancer Magazine!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...It's like the contributors for Freelancer Mag are in your head - in a good way! Whatever you're feeling, someone else is too, and they're there to guide you through it. I love opening up this little magazine.

Freelancing can be a lonely business. Freelancer Magazine provides a wealth of resources and tools to connect people when they need it most. This magazine not only helps you take your freelancing business to the next level, it also makes you feel part of a community.

My name is Maria and I am a marketing freelancer, focusing on email marketing for trainers & educators 👋 When the magazine first launched I watched the hype from the sidelines thinking it's not for me and that I didn't belong in that community. Boy I was wrong! Each issue is packed with incredible resources and stories that help me see that I do in fact belong, that everyone is struggling with the same stuff and that I can do it too.

Hey, I’m Rachel, a medical comms consultant and copywriter ten years into freelancing. If you haven’t subscribed to Freelancer Magazine yet, do it! Top-line, it’s interesting, useful and free from the self-promotional articles and soft-selling that make me put other industry mags in the bin. I enjoy it for the simple pleasure of nosing into other people’s lives and finding out how they approach freelancing and for the practical advice, relevant to us all no matter what sector you work in. In this sometimes lonely business, Freelancer has been a great way for me to feel more connected to people facing the same work joys and dilemmas. Plus, reading the magazine has been the kick-up-the-bum needed to up my game and start focusing on myself as a proper business (yes, I know, maybe a few years late).

It can feel quite lonely being a freelancer. Freelancer Magazine reminds me that there's an awesome community of freelancers out there. It's also packed with advice and ideas. I end up turning the corner down on multiple pages to come back to later. Kate Duggan, Copywriter

I love it. The Freelancer Magazine team offers a resource that isn't really common in many places in the world for people to learn about effective freelance business practices, support, and community. To me, the best bit is the community and the people I've met due to reading and paying attention to the Freelancer content and media channels.

I'm Rowena, a Marketing Consultant, helping SMEs and start ups create and implement marketing strategies that deliver leads. Being a freelancer can be a lonely life - it's a big change when you're used to being employed and working with a team. Freelance Magazine has helped me to feel like I'm not alone, that there's still a community that I belong to and can learn from. The best thing I've found is being able to learn from the experiences of those who are several years ahead of me in their freelance journey. Hearing how people from different sectors have tackled and overcome the same challenges that I face has given me the confidence to keep going, even when it gets hard.

Hi, I'm Phil and I'm a freelance website designer. It is always a treat to receive a copy of Freelancer Magazine in the post. Every issue is packed full of great interviews, ideas, advice and business tips. I only subscribed at issue 5 but was so impressed I went back and purchased copies of the back issues too! Good ideas are timeless, right? I've learned so much from every issue and it's introduced me to other freelancers too. I can't recommend Freelancer Magazine highly enough!
