I have tried numerous online jazz programs, this is absolutely the best. Julian has a very clearly understood process to explain how to develop your skills without getting lost in the swamp.

I have seen many tutorials from many teachers or alike, and none has been so clear and to the point as Julian Bradley is. He knows what he's teaching and he knows how to present it onscreen too. A nice colourful way of playing and presenting musical tutorials.

The aspect of these lessons that I enjoy the most is the clear, direct and organized fashion in which they are presented, followed by keyboard demonstration. The camera angle and accompanying graphics are perfect.

If one is looking for clear, concise, easily accessible tutelage on the theory, mechanics and style of jazz piano, Julian's coursework is second to none. My favorite thing is his approach to creating video demonstrations that are easy to follow. I studied classical piano for several years when I was younger then transitioned to bass as my primary focus. Very complete course for people who want to learn to play jazz standards in various ways. It is a lot of theory but presented in a practical way with useful video's and supporting music sheets. A number of jazz and bossa nova compositions are presented as an example how to make your own jazz arrangements. The course has given me a broad understanding of various jazz styles and how to play it.

Julian is focused on getting you to be the best prepared Jazz musician. He understands and patiently leads you along that path. I have his complete course and over the last few years I have poured over the lessons. I’m not a very good student because life gets in the way. But I can leave it for awhile and a little latter pick up where I left off. Go back and review things I thought I knew until I got ahead and listen anew to the reasons why the early sections are important. I just relay on Julian guiding my development; and enjoy every moment.

If you want to learn jazz theory, I highly recommend Julian’s courses. The modules are well-organized and encompassing while simultaneously not bogged down by anything extraneous. The teaching style is meditative and unobtrusive, facilitating more effective learning. If these courses were made before the rise of the Internet, I imagine that they could have been broadcast on PBS. Top-quality teaching materials!

Loved the teaching style. Concepts were explained in a digestible and concise way that made it easier to execute, which is a tall task when it comes to jazz theory.
