It's a nice way to start my day as I scan through publishing news and opinion pieces before diving into specific ones to get more detail. Often, the newsletter covers stories and reports I haven't come across with other newsletters or Google alerts-- which is incredibly useful! I have been reading Journalology for a couple of weeks now and got completely hooked. As Editor-in-Chief of a journal, it provides essential background reading which helps me understand better the rapidly changing publishing landscape. This should in turn help me to best position the journal for the long term. I have been working in this field for over 40 years, and I have seen the profound changes that have occurred in the world of scientific publishing. Journaology has helped me and is helping me to understand the transformations underway and to use them to better clarify to my young collaborators how to tackle the problem of scientific communication today.
