📚 Stronger Readers‼️ 🎓Stronger Leaders‼️ Leaping With Literacy! All PPSD Kindergarten-5th Summer Enrichment students will pilot the “Just Right Reader” program. Just Right Reader Each student will receive 5 small decodable books targeting phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension. Before the books go home, our summer teachers will use the accompanying lesson plans and other resources to incorporate these books into their daily reading lessons. At the end of the week, students are allowed to take the book home to complete family activities together with their parents or guardians. The office of Grants and Special Programs is sending Just Right Reader reading review packs home with all first grade students. These books are based on the very basics of reading. Coahoma County School District thanks Just Right Reader for selecting us to pilot their Take Home Packs Program. Our limit was 100 students. All CCSD 2nd graders and several 3rd graders were selected to pilot the program. Each student receives 5 or 10 small decodables. Before the books go home, teachers use the accompanying lesson plans and other resources to incorporate these books into their daily reading lessons. Once the teachers send the books home, the students and parents complete family activities together.

1st grade students are so fortunate to have 30 new decodable books to enjoy first at school, then at home! A huge thanks to @justrightreader for this incredible gift!

We are so excited that Summer Book Buddies got underway this week at Seymour Dual Language Academy. Thanks to a Literacy Champions grant from the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County, we have Just Right Reader Decodable Book Packs that will go home with the students this summer to continue the learning at home. The students loved opening up their decodable reader packs with books that are just right for them! It's a Book Party Haul! Saint Patrick Catholic School First graders received free Just Right Reader books! These books are part of a Pilot Program, Just Right Reader. Books were selected based on students' phonics skills. These books are decodable, focusing on a specific phonics skill. The books also contain extra activities and a scannable QR code for the specific phonics lesson for parents/guardians to view. These books are backed by The Science of Reading. 💥📘Exciting News!📘💥 We're thrilled to announce that our kindergarten students at Sidney Deener have been selected to participate in a special pilot program with Just Right Reader! Each student will receive three take-home decodable packs filled with ten engaging readers tailored to their individual reading needs, based on personalized DIBELS screener results. Our kindergarten students and families are bubbling with excitement as they embark on this journey to enhance their reading skills together!

Reading Under the Rainbow Today, students in K-3 received their third set of decodables from Just Right Reader. They read with a buddy and enjoyed a green Lucky Charm bar.

We had a great time at the Family Literacy Night partnering with community organizations, giving away books, and doing a read aloud!
