Congratulations to Just Right Reader Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs, who received a Moderate evidence rating on Evidence for ESSA for a QED study of 399 kindergarteners in six Texas schools! Each Literacy Pack contains books personalized to each student’s phonics skill level, plus writing practice. Read Across America Week highlights the importance of building strong literacy skills and a love of reading. Through an initiative from Gov. Reynolds and the Department, all Iowa first graders and other early elementary students have received Just Right Reader decodable books to keep and continue learning at home. Schools like College Community School District have sent students home with two decodable book packs, totaling 20 books per student.
