Before working with Katy, I felt directionless, unfulfilled, and very overwhelmed by the prospect of job searching. I had a hard time putting myself out there (both online and in-person) to network and was worried about making a mistake. I knew I wanted a change from the typical corporate career path but had no idea where to start. I had a lot of fear that I would fall behind my peers by getting off the proverbial corporate hamster wheel.
Katy helped me very quickly gain clarity on what was truly important to me and what kind of work I find fulfilling. She really helped me shift my perspective from "work will always be a grind" to "there is a lot of work out there that I find exciting and inspiring, and my experience and skills are very valuable to the right company". She gave me the courage and the direction, starting with baby steps, to put myself out there, network, and join local entrepreneurship communities that I find very fun and energizing.
As a result, I:
- Widely broadened my network through special interest groups online and locally (after realizing that cold outreach is not that scary)!
- Pursued and started a new opportunity within my current company
- Updated my LinkedIn presence
- Feel wildly more empowered on how to network and find my next opportunity when I decide to make that jump
It sounds cliche, but after working with Katy I have felt a weight lifted around finding the "perfect" job. If I am moving closer to what I think I want (and that might change, and that is ok!) it is a worthwhile move. My overall outlook on job changes has shifted as well, where I think about opportunities with much more excitement and curiosity rather than trying to find a perfect needle in a haystack. This has really drastically changed how I view my career - it is much more fun and exploratory just by making this mindset change!

It sounds cliche, but after working with Katy I have felt a weight lifted around finding the "perfect" job. If I am moving closer to what I think I want (and that might change, and that is ok!) it is a worthwhile move. Before working with Katy, my biggest challenge boiled down to inaction. Lack of clarity on what I wanted, belief that I could go after certain goals, conviction and trust to carry through with chances to grow. To put it lightly I was very unhappy....and feeling like I had nothing to work for or towards (or, really, not being able to get started) made it so much worse.
Our coaching sessions allowed me to fully understand what I really wanted, why I wanted it, and articulate it. I've been upskilling a ton, creating thought leadership, building dozens of new relationships, completely revamped my online presence, and going to networking events.
Katy has helped me see my future self, believe in it vividly, and take actions to go out and be my future self now. I have a reason for everything that I'm doing - and I'm very happy doing it! I've rediscovered belief in my potential and it's such an amazing feeling.
