As a made to order and made to measure business, having the tools to illustrate the finished garments for the client prior to manufacture is invaluable. we can talk through visual iterations of style, color and details to start pattern work.

I have just graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, and my school RMCAD allowed me access to Make the Dot for creating mood and concept boards. My favorite thing about the software is the ability to save images at a high resolution from any website. It makes creating a beautiful concept board incredibly easy and fun.

The best part of Make the Dot was how easy it was to use overall and how quickly I could add content. Honestly, I loved all the features, but the extension was my favorite. I've been using it a lot for research on my Portfolio projects.

I personally love the material libraries. Having easy access to materials really helps students like me be more productive during our hectic term time.

One of my favourite things about Make the Dot is definitely the fabric library. It is so important for students to use accurate fabric swatches in their projects, rather than searching on Google or Pinterest, which can often give you a generic image that does not match with the type you're looking for.

My mood board with Make the Dot is way better than keynote and has instant access to all my textile color palettes.

I'd normally never visit the fabric suppliers' websites directly, but now that it's embedded within Make the Dot, I love looking up the fabrics before visiting the store because it gives me inspiration and helps conjure up new ideas while I'm designing. I also use it to show the visualization to my teacher before buying the fabric.

After using Make the Dot, I noticed that I started experimenting with more fabric options and novelty fabrics in my design. The experience of browsing and searching digitally is so much easier than going aisle by aisle in the physical shop.

I love Make the Dot because it is so specific to my workflow as a fashion marketing student. I love that I can search for fabrics from all different suppliers and it's so easy to use the Eydropper to match the exact color on the fabric I'm looking for.

I love the ability to digtize my bag of physical fabrics, and also search for new fabrics in the fabric library. It's like I'm building my own personal fabric collection.

Just love how the "save" button makes my workflow a breeeeze! The ability to save images to any board I am working with as I browse, as well as the ability to move the widget as needed without a break to my concentration is simply perfect.

I always recommend my students to bridge their online to offline fabric research and experiment with different textures before finalizing on a purchase. Even when I'm designing myself, I often use Make the Dot's fabric library to find specific print patterns to complement my concept. It is so convenient!

You can tell Make the Dot is designed just for fashion designers because it streamlines for design process right away. I'd recommend it to all fashion designers.
