This was a dream come true for me

This was a dream come true for me, always wanting to go to art school from the time I was in high school, many moons ago! 🤣 I had learned basic painting and drawing abilities on my own, but after taking the Mastery Program my skills have far exceeded what I ever dreamed! Milan Art’s methods, inspiration and vision of artist changing the world and giving us the tools to do so instead of accepting the starving artist restrictions was earth shattering! I will never be the same and feel like I have been launched into a new season of my destiny as an artist. I can’t thank you enough!!

This whole experience has been life altering.

This whole experience has been life altering for me. I am a 71 yr old who has only painted for 18 yrs in oil impression. Right now, I am quite far behind schedule, just starting Part 2 of 4 Parts after almost a full year. I am also a sole care-giver for a loved one with PD dementia. That takes up most of my day. However, the hours I do get into my studio are essential to my mental well-being, as well as boosting my morale, and empowering me as an artist. I prayed that God would give me a sign to let me know if I should spend the money on the Mastery Program offered by Milan Institute. One day, while searching through my files for something, I literally came across a 6 month old check from a bank for an overpayment on a credit card for the exact amount I needed for the Mastery Program. It was beyond anything I could have expected, but a very clear answer from God that I should take the course. For an Impressionistic landscape painter to learn so many new skills, methods, and techniques from such a spirited group of young coaches, this has given me a whole new approach to my work. While I may not be able to make a full-time living selling my art once I graduate, like some of the younger students, I know I will have experienced much that I never learned in other lessons, books, and a multitude of workshops over the years. These classes are very detailed and informative, with critiques and affirmative input from coaches every single day. By the time I have completed the Program, I know I will have added portraits and abstracted realism to my repertoire. These new skills and new friends will give me much more to offer the World as an artist in this exciting era in art.

A great and unique experience

So much thought has gone into the whole process of becoming/being an artist. From the mindset and assumptions that may be holding you back to positive actions to master your materials, explore techniques, work your process and know your voice. There is all the business information too. Invaluable! The course seems to attract kind and caring people all rooting and helping each other and it’s great watching others grow and develop into amazing artists before your very eyes. As well as seeing how far you can get too in a relatively short amount of time. It’s a great and unique experience that I hope to be a part of for a long time to come.

An Abundance of Gratitude for an Incredible Program

I joined the Mastery Program after 10 years of being a professional artist. I had been self-taught, using information from YouTube artists and my own experiences and connections locally. However, I knew there were things I didn't know that I didn't know ;) Right from the beginning, this program has been incredibly useful. My art now has a foundation of skill and I am much more confident in the materials I use. I have moved away from using only one of my own photo references for my paintings and instead create references using a digital collage of my photos, and even then I go "off script". I receive generous and positive feedback for my work, especially in my use of colour. The Mastery Program has helped me see colour in a different way to bring my artwork to life. The teaching is thorough, well documented, and enjoyable. I am very grateful for this experience and for all that the Milan family and their staff continue to provide.

The best art program ever!

The Milan Art Mastery Program taught me how to paint with oils in a way that I had never known before. This has added depth and dimension to my paintings. By introducing me to a wide range of mediums they helped me discover the style in which I like to paint. It’s uncanny and synchronistic how Eli will randomly address whatever is getting in the way of believing in yourself and your art. It’s as if she’s in your head.

This family has what it takes..

This family has what it takes to get anyone who wants to develop art skills,GROW DEEPER! You can take the Milan’s at their word! They aren’t afraid to help others dive in to become a professional artist. I’ve learned so much in this program. I’ve followed their advise, been challenged, frustrated, kept going when I wanted to give up. Instead, I learned to believe in myself, that I have something to offer the world with what I create! I’m still learning, and creating. I’ve sold several pieces all before graduating. The platform is like nothing else I’ve seen. If you’re looking for confidence, critique, a warm friendly, caring environment to grow, Milan Mastery program is it!, they take guess work out of process in oils and other art mediums. Their Support team actually follows up with you. They have proven to be hardworking and honest, I love it! They are my new forever family!

The best decision you will ever make

The support and information and the people of Milan institute are amazing and authentic. Everyone from Eli, Dimitra, and Jake to the mentors and coaches truly care about the members of the community and students and truly give freely of themselves because they want everyone to succeed. If I had any critique it would be I wish the information was a bit more thorough even if the video segments are longer. Specifically, on color mixing. What types of colors mix to make what other colors. There are tricks like mixing yellow and black makes green. Not something most people would know coming from a basic grade school level of color theory. Or more focus on voice and style. Examples of how to mix different styles and elements to get a different look. These things are just being nit picky though. I could not be more grateful for having found Milan art institute.

Incredible support and expertise

Very friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful! The lessons were excellent with the content being very useful and delivered with great enthusiasm, expertise, confidence and a positive attitude! Even though I was extremely stressed and heavily involved with helping a family member, who was quite unwell and who has since passed away, the people of Milan Art Institute were always very understanding and empathetic! Passion, Professionalism, and Lifelong Lessons in Art

I truly appreciate the passion and energy that the entire team at the Art Institute brings to their work. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s clear that every member of the team is a dedicated to their missions. During my time there, I gained invaluable insights—not only in the creation of art and craftsmanship but also in understanding the right mindset, learning more about myself, and even detailed work in art marketing. I'm incredibly grateful for everything, and I make sure to share my positive experience wherever I go. Thank you!

I have a varied and unpredictable work schedule, and knowing I could take the course at my own pace is a great support in itself. The customer support is amazing and quick to help you. Great experience!

The entire Mastery Program is super! I have learned so many new things and discovered new possibilities during this time. Completing the program in a year is a big effort, but there is always the opportunity to do it at your own pace also. It`s great to be a part of the Milan Art community and this support will continue even after the end of the program! But what I admire most is Milan` s Family dedication. You really share everything you know to help others. The way you help overcome obstacles psychologically and spiritually and always at the right time is incredible. I don` t know how you do it, but help always comes at the right time:) The most important thing for me behind this entire super program is the right energy. What you do and share is admirable! Thank you!

Milan Art Institute Mastery Program changed my professional life & my personal life. Before taking the classes I was very amateur, even in my thinking about my art. Now, a year later, after graduating, I am confident, and productive as a professional Artist. I can not tell you how much I learned. People comment to me that my work is Night to Day, compared to before the classes. I am so thrilled and hopeful now in my Art career & business.

So much better than college!!

I was skeptical about an online unaccredited institution, but I honestly learned so much more in one week at the Milan Art Institute than I did after an entire semester at Fresno State University. There’s a lot to be said about the quality of a for-profit organization full of passionate, successful artists over a government-subsidized organization full of worn out, tenured professors (usually disillusioned artists) who are just there to collect a paycheck. I’ve paid for Kirsty Partridge’s Art Academy, many Udemy courses, in-person workshops, art technique books, etc., but nothing even remotely compares to the first month of classes here. Seriously, you won’t regret it.

A great learning experience

I just got back from a 12 day retreat - painting with the Milans in Italy. This is an extraordinarily talented - and kind - family. Elli Milan is my mentor and she is also a wonderful teacher. I am also in the Mastery program moving from a few months working in oils to the next part of the program which is all about mixed media! I’m very excited. I feel that I am supported in the program and that my skills and creativity are continually expanded upon as well.

Just go for it you won’t be sorry!

I wanted to brush up on my skills after being out of the art business for 20+ years. This was a fantastic experience. They covered the details of techniques procedures. They encouraged creativity. They encouraged you to jump off the cliff on your own and realize that you really can fly. It’s fantastic experience. I encourage anybody who wants to develop their artistic skills and creativity to sign up and go for it. Make sure you attend the coaching because that’s invaluable. The only thing I wish is that there was more available coaching times during sections three and four, but that’s when you’re learning to be on your own anyway so it wasn’t that bad. That’s the only constructive criticism that I have. I’m getting all my bits and pieces in line so I can apply for graduation hopefully by the end of this month! I’m so excited and I’m so glad that I attended the Milan Art Institute. Fantastic experience and I highly recommend it.

Corry MacDonald
Corry MacDonald
Celebrating completing the Milan Mastery Program in 13 months just before another international move this summer and the wonderful power of mindset knowing that I could manifest an exhibition of my paintings here in Brussels in June - the only full month I have before the shipping company comes. Watch this reel I just posted on my @corrymacdonaldart Instagram (link below) to see how I envisioned, felt my vision download into my cells, prepped all my artwork for show - even when I was still unsure where I would exhibit - when suddenly, by myriad magical connections last week I found the ‘just right’ space here in Brussels called Octopus Heart with a call for artist for…you guessed it…the month of June!!! The momentum created is so magnetic that I also sold five pieces in the past weeks, after having gone through the whole program not selling one. I shared this for anyone who is going through the program and not sensing or seeing any hope of sales or exhibiting, I had such narrow timelines with our nomad lifestyle and still, the power of our minds and our hearts to feel into our vision brings such a momentum that floodgates can open and all that we are can shine through and attract what is meant for us in our role as professional artists and beauty bringers into our world. Trust that you are on the right track and that you have your own timing and rhythm. I often tell people that I am a slow learner but once I learn it I am with that knowledge forever, this unfolded for me with my art career this way too. So grateful for all the marketing lessons and having everything ready and prepared for things to flow so smooth! It’s worth following every step of our lessons, so much wisdom there. All of this to create an Amazing Artist’s Life! 🌞XC Link below- instagram.com/reel/DYVQo9ZscF6/?igsh=MWV4Z2F4aHQyYXUzag==

I set myself a deadline to graduate from the Mastery Program so I could join SOPA in time to go to the summit. That fulfilled goal has impacted me tremendously as an artist. Not only have I acquired priceless strategies for my business, but I have also gained friendship and support of many inspiring, driven professional artists whom I look up to. SOPA is like an amazing well of knowledge, experiences and opportunities. If you’re serious about your art business, I would strongly recommend to become part of SOPA.

I am in my second year of SOPA, and I find that it is so crucial to my identity as an artist to be part of an artist community. There is so much value in the support provided by the team and its members. Even though I am in Australia, I have so many opportunities to attend the online events. I am looking forward to being part of the SOPA Summit next year!

The Mastery Program completely changed my life as an artist, but honestly I couldn’t really picture myself continuing this journey all alone afterward. Through the Mastery Program I made so many wonderful artist friends, and now through SOPA I’ve made even more connections with artists who genuinely want to keep growing, learning, encouraging each other, and moving forward in their art careers together. This recent summit especially helped me realize I don’t have to try to do everything all at once. I came home with pages of notes and ideas, but also more clarity about what I actually want to focus on this quarter and what steps make the most sense for me right now. Having a community of artists who openly share their struggles, ideas, encouragement, and opportunities has meant so much to me. It makes this whole art journey feel a lot less lonely.

The Mastery Program is taking my skill level to places I never dreamed of! The program and range of technique covered are miles above other teachings I've received over the years. It's also turning into more consistent sales, new commission opportunities and from what my followers say, added inspiration for their creativity too. The group coaching is all it claims to be, and more. It’s fast, in-depth and so helpful in both building confidence and keeping me not only progressing, but enthused about every step! They're well trained in providing critiques that never feel negative, clearly stating what's been done with excellence and areas where I can improve. My mentor, Briana Z., is always on top of things…and I look forward to every interaction. She gives me great tips to move forward without getting stuck in perfectionism, but instead, guides me into my best art making ever! She helps me through phases of doubt when life gets in the way, and feels like not just my mentor, but a friend who truly cares. The entire community is really close knit. With so many opportunities to interact and support each other, it’s become like a family to me. One I'm surely addicted to, in a good way. For anyone thinking of joining the Mastery Program or taking a course, you do not. Want to. Miss this!

Membership in SOPA offers incredible value. The business classes, the opportunity for growth through critiques, the supportive and teaching community helps each one of us grow our skills with the paintbrush and in the business development. The Summit -Wow! If you ever have the opportunity to go-GO! I’m still processing all I learned.

I enrolled with Milan Art Institute in January 2026. I wanted to pursue my art journey that came to a halt early in my life due to life obstacles. My best friend, Jenny was there with me through it all as child and now in our adult years, her mamma who is now in heaven, even gave me art classes and inspired me as a child. As my Best Friend and I turned 50 this year, we are both grateful God gave us all these years on earth together. She now lives in Washington State and me, Florida. Miles apart still don’t separate us. She has seen my art journey through Milan Art grow and wanted to buy my first painting. I named this painting Gilbert. Gilbert flew from Florida all the way to Washington state. The expenses to fly him there were super expensive so do your research before setting prices of your art!!! Thank goodness there is USPS! I’m grateful to have Milan beside me to help my art techniques grow. My husband is already seeing it in just 2 months! Thank you to the Milans and coaches for helping me make my future look bright!

There really is nothing like the Mastery Program. I've taken many courses, college level, on-line, in person workshops and this is the most well structured, comprehensive and valuable by far. The instruction is top notch, access to incredible coaches and mentors unprecedented, even the support staff is incredible. But it's not just that, it's a community of people - students, alumni and instructors/coaches/staff - that are genuinely kind, gracious and encouraging. The opportunities this opens are far beyond anything I've seen. I'm incredibly grateful to the Milans and their Team, and so glad I took the leap to join - it really is a game changer!

My lesson with the little mouse got a lot of feedback, and I was even asked to paint the same one but in a large format. So, I’ve received my first large-format commission. I’m very proud of myself.

My work is born from a threshold experience—what many call a Near-Death Experience (NDE)—that fundamentally altered the way I perceive light, form, and meaning. Before this moment, my art was an exploration; afterward, it became a translation. During my NDE, I encountered a realm that felt both profoundly personal and universally shared—an expanse of presence, color, and intelligence that transcended language. What I saw was not bound by physical rules: light carried emotion, space moved with intention, and everything existed in a state of deep interconnectedness. When I returned, I felt an urgency to express what cannot easily be explained, only felt. My NDE-inspired works are not literal depictions, but impressions—visual echoes of that experience. They often feature luminous contrasts, layered dimensions, and symbolic forms that suggest movement between worlds. These pieces aim to invite viewers into a contemplative space, where they might sense something beyond the visible. The artwork created after my NDE continues this dialogue but expands it into daily life. These pieces reflect the integration of that experience—how transcendence meets the ordinary, how insight reshapes perception. Together, my body of work forms a continuum: from the moment of crossing to the ongoing act of living with what was revealed. At its core, my art is about connection—between life and death, seen and unseen, self and something greater. I don’t seek to define these boundaries, but to soften them, offering viewers a chance to reflect, question, and perhaps recognize something familiar within the unknown.

The Italy Art Retreat experience changed my life and showed me what living life fully could be. I will do it again for sure. Had an amazing breakthrough during one of the workshops, made lifelong friendships and the food and excursions were fantastic. The Milan family and team are truly kind, generous and authentic. I found my tribe! I love you all and looking forward to the next retreat.

What a beautiful experience I had in Italy at the Milan retreat. The women I met were all so inspiring and the excursions were wonderful. I feel that I made new friends for life! The classes were all enjoyable and I definitely learned new techniques that I probably never would’ve tried prior. I’m very grateful for the programs that the Milan’s have put together. I have become a more refined and intentional artist since I began their program. ❤️

In May 2023, I had the joy of taking part in the Milan Art Institute Art Retreat for the first time, in the magical Old Town of Rhodes. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life — a beautiful journey that brought together my two greatest passions, painting and travelling. It also gave me the chance to meet wonderful people, exchange ideas about art and creativity, and learn new techniques that filled me with energy and inspiration. The hotel was immaculate and beautifully cared for, and the owners were exceptionally warm, generous, and welcoming. The retreat was very well organized, with each day offering something special to look forward to. The art exhibition that concluded the retreat was truly a highlight, as many people came to admire the works we created on the island. If you love art, connection, good food and exploring new destinations, this is an experience worth living.

My introduction to the Milan Art Institute came about almost by accident. I love art but never attempted to be an artist. As a child I did not even like to color. I could not stay within the lines. And I could not stand paint-by-number "art"! I gifted myself a trip to Greece in 2022, a reward for completing a Master of Divinity Degree. I read online about an art retreat on a Greek island, and I wanted to spend time on a Greek isle. When I arrived, I immediately realized this was not just an art retreat, it was an artist retreat, and I was the only non-artist! It was a steep learning curve. I knew nothing. Elli and Dimitra and John were (are) excellent teachers. I loved every minute! I especially appreciated their emphasis on finding your own voice. No “copy-cat” art. I began to see the world differently, looking for and recognizing the beauty and the Divine in all things. The other artists at the retreat each had their own unique artistic style Every person was kind, patient, calm, generous, authentic, fun, and grounded. I was curious. What did they share in common? They were from various countries and backgrounds. Ages spanned several generations. The common denominator: All were students of the Mastery Program of the Milan Art Institute. Several had graduated from the program. I wanted what they had. The day I arrived home I registered for the Mastery Program and paid it in full. I poured myself into art. It changed how I view the world. My spirit calmed. Painting became my therapy. I learned that “talent” is not a magical thing, like fairy-glitter sprinkled from heaven. Good instruction, quality ingredients (paints, brushes, etc.), and consistent practice build the skills that people see as talent. Online instruction has helped me focus on learning and developing my own voice, rather than comparing myself to other students/artists in the room. I can learn at my own pace, re-watch videos, and choose my own sources rather the typical “copy-the-instructor” or “paint the same scene” approach used in some other courses. I sold a number of paintings while I was still a student. The Mastery Program re-calibrated my life. I graduated on the eve of my 74th birthday. You are never too old to learn something new!

Last year in Italy feels less like a memory and more like a painting I’m still living inside. It was more than an art retreat—it was a quiet unfolding. Mornings filled with soft light and possibility, afternoons where time dissolved into color and texture, and evenings that stretched long with laughter, wine, and conversations that felt like they mattered. What stays with me most isn’t just what I created, but who I became alongside the people there. Strangers who quickly felt like kindred spirits. Colleagues who turned into collaborators, mirrors, and friends. Teachers who didn’t just guide technique, but gently opened doors—to courage, to vulnerability, to seeing differently. There was something rare in the air: a shared permission to be fully present, to try without fear, to fail beautifully, and to celebrate each other without hesitation. I remember the way ideas flowed freely, how inspiration seemed contagious, how even silence felt meaningful when we worked side by side. Every brushstroke, every conversation, every moment seemed to say: this is what it means to be alive and paying attention. Italy gave us its beauty, but it was the people who made it unforgettable. And even now, I carry that feeling with me—that sense of connection, of creative freedom, of belonging. It reminds me that art isn’t just what we make. It’s how we meet each other, and how we dare to show up, again and again, with open hands and open hearts.

I am so excited! This is “Mr. Bird” he is my first ever oil painting from the first class with Milan Art Institute. I learned new media, new techniques, new expressions of light! Tonight I sold my first piece with Milan at “Norberto’s” our local Puerto Rican Piano Bar. “Mr. Bird” graced many beautiful displays over the last 4 months but tonight his light found his new home!

I had no idea that I could even draw an eye cause I’ve never done it so this is my first eye so I consider this a win and I want to thank y’all for doing what you’re doing, I have really loved exploring what I can do through a lot of your videos!!!

I put my section 3 painting of a bear and a chair in an art shop to sell about five weeks ago . A customer came in and wanted it but it was too small so I’ve been commissioned to do it three times bigger. I’ve never done a commission before so I don’t really know how to go about it. I also didn’t know if she would like it so I haven’t asked for money yet being my first time to copy a new style I’d done two months ago.can I pull if off? We will see. I’ll just see if she likes it first. The mastery program has taught me so many new styles and techniques. Some I’m not good at and others I thoroughly enjoy and want to do more of. This journey has been nothing but fabulous. I’m very pleased I joined the Milan family Institute of art.

In December, I took a step of faith and placed my art in a local boutique, hoping it might be a good fit. Looking back now, it was absolutely the right decision. My pieces have been selling so well that the space is paying for itself, and the steady flow of sales has been such a blessing and a clear confirmation that I’m right where I’m supposed to be. By February, the boutique owner invited me, along with two other vendors, out of forty, to represent the shop at an upscale country club fundraiser. Being chosen for something so special meant more than I can say. At the event in March, I not only had the chance to display my work in a beautiful setting, but I also gained real exposure. I made meaningful connections with people who later reached out to me, and I even made several sales during the fundraiser itself. It was one of those moments where you can feel doors opening in ways you didn’t expect. Since then, the boutique owner has recommended me for two commission pieces, including a pair of pelican lamps for a sweet couple who had just moved here and were decorating their new home. From the moment we met, there was an instant connection, the kind that makes creating feel personal and joyful. When I delivered the finished lamps, their reaction filled my heart. They said they didn’t just like them but they loved them! They were so excited, grateful, and already planning to tell their friends. Even the boutique owner was amazed, which meant so much to me. Moments like that remind me why I create: to bring joy, beauty, and a sense of belonging into someone’s space. And now, the owner has asked me for a quote to paint another lamp in the boutique. One opportunity keeps leading to another, and I’m simply walking forward with gratitude. This season has been full of growth, connection, and unexpected blessings. I’m so thankful for every person who has supported, encouraged, and believed in my art. What a journey this is becoming.

Hi, My name is Karin Järpemark, I am 67 years old and from Sweden. Yesterday I brought 16 paintings to our church. We had a special outreach day for artists and music. I have sold my children books in events before, but never paintings, even though I have been painting for many years. This was the first time I tried to sell them. I started the Mastery Program the 4th of April but I have bought some courses before that from Milan Art. I sold 2 paintings yesterday !! and they were from the MP!! I sold the parrot (Ellie's lesson) and the bird and flowers (Dimitra's lesson). I told everybody about the Milan Art and my art was admired of sooo many. Im super happy! Love, Karin

I have done 4 retreats with Milan Art. They are in different locations and with a combination of their coaches and founders. It’s been consistently enriching for an artist looking to connect with other artists and sharing learnings and experiences. I did not have friends that shared the same interest in painting and creativity and I found amazing lifelong friends through the Milan’s retreats.

I have been painting for about six months, and when this class appeared on my Facebook timeline, I really debated whether or not to purchase it because I had no experience painting flowers but I liked the idea so I purchased it watched it and was lost, but I trusted the process. I purchased this abstract floral class about a month ago and now going through it. I have a greater understanding. This class was so good. It opened my mind up two huge possibilities. There was so much information especially for a beginner, but I did it. I will upload more once I do more. I’m just starting on my journey. As an artist and I’m understanding concepts a lot better because of the class. I can see where I need to improve, but it did a lot better than what I thought I could ever do. Thank you!!!!

One of my goals for 2025 was to create a painting that would sell for over $1000. It felt like a huge goal and was hard to imagine it manifesting. Well, it happened in December 2025 at a holiday vendor market. I sold this 4’ x 5’ painting for $1500!! I loved seeing how the collector connected with it. I had stars in my eyes and overflowing gratitude. Two to three years ago I had never shared my art publicly. After taking the Mastery Program, I have had multiple exhibitions, participated in a number of vendor events and have sold over 65 originals as well as numerous prints! If art is your passion and you take the Mastery Program, YOU can do this too!! I cannot say enough good things about the program. It elevated my skills from the very first lesson.💜

1. Improvement: I have a better understanding of color theory, the use of some tools, oil mediums, and solvents. It is making me find workarounds in using technology, as I have limited knowledge of the platforms and apps (not sure if this is a good thing). I can see myself thinking ahead in my art-making process, considering which colors go where. I can look at a completed artwork and identify how to improve the piece. Practicing with the right brain has brought clarity to my ability to see nuances in a subject. 2. The joy is in doing the right brain exercises daily; I love free writing as well. The tutors' videos, allowing me to play through first and transcribe, were helpful to my learning style (the left brain quiets down when painting). When painting or drawing, I could also pause and rewind to observe paint mixes on the tutor's palette and brushstrokes and laying on of paint. This all made it exciting and joyful and frustrating all at same time like eating a fruit tingle for me. 3. I would highly recommend this course to any level of student . I believe we can always learn with art. The course is designed to allow the participant to work at their own pace and is doable in the time frame set . Thankyou for creating THe Milan Institut from Maureen Bontoft Australia .

Last night, I cried in the middle of a Chinese buffet 😂 Long story short, I was in a car accident right before Christmas that has somewhat flipped my life upside down. No broken bones but some new neurological issues that I am trying to recover from. I was flooded with drive, determination and healing while painting “Owen.” Painting has been my saving grace throughout my (slow moving) healing process. It has allowed me to feel like “myself” again and I am so vey THANKFUL for that 🎨 I got him done just a couple hours prior to our local Art After Dark art show. I walked in to the art show and immediately had what I have been experiencing neurologically happen to me. I took a few minutes to recover and decided to try to stick around as long as I could. I spoke to a woman about “Owen” for a few minutes and got her contact info because she talked about wanting a bigger painting for her home and I left shorty after. I got a call while eating dinner from the art show organizer (a friend of mine) that someone wanted to buy my owl…and they did. It was the woman I spoke to while I was at the show. CUE THE TEARS. At first, I was actually sad to see him go because I had such an emotional attachment to him but I was so happy she was the buyer. I messaged her and thanked her for buying him and gave her a little back story of why he was so important to me. She said she loved that he had a story and she and her family will cherish him forever, I have watched HOURS of Milan Art videos, tune in to Mentor Mondays, read the newsletters and have learned SO MUCH. I have been saving for the Mastery Program but my accident’s medical bills and my inability to work full time right now have put me at a standstill. I save the money from my paintings to go towards the program so…guess I better get behind the canvas even more huh?! 😊 I WILL sign up this year,I am a woman on a mission! I can’t wait to see what the program can do for me. Thank you Milan family and Milan Art Institute crew for all you do. Can’t wait for the day you see my name on the roster ❤️

I started working one-on-one with Ritika when I had just seven months left in my two-year access to the coaching calls because I knew I needed help if I was going to complete the program on time. With Ritika's support, I was able to figure out my process, start and complete my portfolio, and gain clarity on my archetype. Ritika was just the motivator I needed. She gave me confidence, encouraged me to strive for excellence, and helped me reach my goal of completing the program and applying for graduation by February 2026. I loved having Ritika as my mentor and highly recommend one-on-one mentorship for accountability, personal support, and motivation!

I just completed my 3rd and largest piece yet for a three part abstract series! None of these were actual assignments from the course but I felt motivated and inspired by the course to find my voice and I feel this is a start. I have named the paintings “Lost”, “Found”, and “Forgiven” i don’t have a name for the series yet. “Lost” was actually done while attending one of Milan Art Institute”’s online free courses on painting abstracts. It was what sparked my interest to enroll in the classes. I am very proud of the out come of these three pieces. I deliberately made them different sizes as I wanted them to grow in importance. I am truly grateful to Milan Art Institute for encouraging artists to pursue their dreams to be professional artists. I have had two of these pieces displayed at a coffee shop and would love to see them in a gallery or on a collectors wall someday. They are all for sale either together or separately. Any thoughts on naming the series?

Completing my Mastery program of Arts… Completing my Mastery program of Arts at the Milan Art Institute was a truly transformative and empowering milestone in my artistic journey. As an internationally exhibiting artist and fine art educator, I approached the program with experience, yet I left with deeper clarity, stronger structure, and renewed creative fire. The Institute helped me refine my artistic voice, strengthen the conceptual foundation of my narrative series, and position my work with greater confidence within the contemporary art world. The mentorship was thoughtful and demanding in the best way, encouraging discipline, authenticity, and professional excellence. It challenged me not only to create, but to think, articulate, and evolve. I am deeply grateful for this experience and wholeheartedly recommend it to artists who are ready to elevate both their creative practice and professional presence. Angel.Kourkoulou

I joined Milan Art Institute last month and started on January 17, 2026. Prior to joining, I had taken a several Milan Master classes in 2025 and created about 15 -20 paintings over the course of the year. Although I wasn’t a Mastery Program student quite yet at the time I made these paintings, I had taken several Master Classes which got me started with the basics and proper painting techniques which gave me confidence to sell my paintings at art fairs. My paintings are of dragons, so I signed up for fairs in 2026 that support a similar theme. My very first fair was Mythicon in Gettysburg Pa last weekend, and I am happy to share that it was a success! Not only did I sell my first original painting of one of my dragons, but I sold numerous prints of my other dragon paintings. Now that I am a student of the Mastery Program, I am excited to continue to grow my knowledge, confidence and skills so that I can finally pursue my dream of becoming a full-time professional artist. How exciting it is to have my art hang on my first collector’s wall! This sale not only tells me that I am on my right path, but also helps pay for the Mastery Program, lol.

I knew absolutely nothing about oil painting before I took this course. I find myself explaining to the employees at the local art supply store what all of the materials are and how and when to use them! Oil paints no longer intimidate me! I love them now. I can set up my palette that I made myself out of a glass shelf. I know how to clean it. How to clean my brushes. I could go on and on. I can honestly say that makes me feel like an artist. Regardless of what I paint. Understanding cools, warms, opaque, transparent, complimentary color. It really is something that everyone needs to know. Big thanks for all the help making me feel like I'm capable to build on the basics. I'm ready for the next step.

Big thanks for all the help making me feel like I'm capable to build on the basics. I'm ready for the next step.

Earlier this week I made the decision to invest in myself and my dream of being a professional artist, and enrolled in the Mastery Program. That SAME DAY someone I'd met at a holiday art market reached out to me on Instagram to purchase an original watercolor painting she saw online! If that's not a sign that this is the right path for me, I don't know what is! This is the painting she purchased, "Rainbow Rebel." I can't wait to see where this journey takes me 🥰

Hi! I have really learned a lot about following through on what you begin. The instructors were very encouraging to their students about this idea. It’s not necessarily the end product but the process that gives you the most information and insight about yourself and what your goals might be in the program. This is going to be a segway for me as I travel on to the Mastery Program. I think this is an extremely valuable and exciting opportunity for any person who wants to enhance their starting point as an artist or basically at any level you are at. You will be involved with a superior art program with authentically gifted artists. The Milan School is not only a superior disciplined academically based art academy but also enhances and encourages your ability to discern philosophical ideals whether in the artistic realm or the real world. The programs are well rounded and structured. You start with basic art concepts like drawing and shading shapes, understanding the color wheel, warm and cool colors with exercises pertaining to these ideas. Then you build on your understanding by combining and accessing your interpretations as you complete a painting with these concepts. You always have the ability to review any part of the lesson where you might need more understanding. All of the videos I’ve viewed were professional and easy to follow. I recommend the Milan Art Academy Program as an excellent opportunity and stepping stone to greatness in becoming an artist that will be immersed emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually in the school’s philosophy. You will thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Short shoutout for Milan’s Art Institute website I’m thrilled to share that CAL International 2026 just informed me that one of my entries has been accepted for the show. Grateful for this recognition and excited to have my work exhibited at Madeley Fine Art Gallery from March 3–28, 2026. My work is one of 65 that the juror selected from 501 entries. Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey!

Hello, and Merry Christmas. I am celebrating today with my latest painting, which I think is my best so far in oils. I signed up for the Mastery Portrait class and it really blew me away. It helped me to see a completely different way to paint using Cool colors and warm colors. I am super excited to continue with Milan Art courses in the near future. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to improve their art. I am attaching a picture of my 18 x 24 oil. In one of our Mayan languages it is called "Ranm Ixoqi" or "heart of woman" Thank you again!

Even though my painting didn’t turn out the way I wanted. I’m still going to count this as a win. The major win is I created the background and then I uploaded it to Canva and created my very First source. I couldn’t understand the benefits of having a source and now I do. A thoroughly enjoyed that part of it. I did struggle with proportions and blocking in which kind of threw off the whole painting. And I’m not sure how to fix it. This was my first attempt after taking the abstract florals course. I also did learn mistakes that I made and creating my source, so this was a huge mile stone in my painting journey. I can’t wait to try the next one and see how progressed from all that I learned the first picture is the source that I created. The second picture is my painting. Love always, Savana.

My second painting ever was in October 2025 before I joined the mastery program . A fight with my inner demons and fear of ruin the canvas. In and out, a lot of tears and candy for 4 weeks before I finally got it done. Just a canvas for some, but a major mountain for me and I loved it. Mastery Program ,.. here I come <3

I highly recommend this program! I've found the thing that I was missing. I found confidence in oil painting and I'm not afraid of it anymore. I'm also happy that the materials were not harmful. The teaching style is great and I'm also allowed to mess up and correct my mistakes.

NETWORKING! That's not all that SOPA offers but it's a huge component that is vital in the art world. Let's be real: we artists can become so buried in our studios that we forget to check in with the rest of the world and while it can serve us in our more theapeutic sessions, not plugging in can bring our art biz to a sqreaching halt -'no bueno'🥺 SOPA is inspiring and motivating, educational and informational. LOVE connecting with fellow creatives! 💫
