I can’t say enough good things about my Muck Rack subscription. It’s not cheap but here are the top five lesser-known ways I make it work for me: 1) Reverse engineering press lists based on client competitors. 2) Researching industry trends via keyword strings. 3) Cross platform research on writers based on bio and article portfolios. 4) Generating press coverage reports for prospective clients and selling to them based on the holes in their coverage. 5) Setting notifications for category competitors so I can see what the media is covering. Thank you Muckrack, you make me a better PR practitioner each day.

Our team values the continual additions and updates to search for publications and members of the media, the pitching tools, and even the AI tools. Being able to generate reports is key as everything has an ROI and a KPI. This service does have a number of improved services and features over other products. Customer service is always available and very helpful. Our PR team uses MR for a variety of reasons all day everyday!

Muck Rack has been instrumental in helping our team source media contacts + pitch a wide range of media. The database of reporters is incredible -- truly no other platform has anything like it. That has saved us countless hours. Pitching directly from the platform has also saved a lot of time, too -- it can be a little tricky to learn how to use it at first, but once you do, it's a game changer.

MuckRack is the best - there is no competition

MuckRack is by far the best media relations platform I've ever used, and I've used so many. Cision, TrendKite, Vocus, Meltwater, you name it. And the reason its so good its because it does what they tell you it will do (where others do not) AND its intuitive, meaning any of your team can jump in and pretty much figure it out without training. On top of that, MuckRack's training is better than the rest..by far! And for a public relations individual trying to do their craft well requires the ability to read coverage from the reporters you're pitching as it happens, be up to date on what they are sharing on their own channels, and then when it makes sense to reach out, ENSURE THE CONTACT INFORMATION for that journalist is correct. These are where other platforms fall short. I would never recommend a platform other than MuckRack! I also love that its one price. They don't try to sell you all these crazy addins like Meltwater does.

Muck Rack has the best guides I've ever seen. Waterless, with examples, and most importantly, the truth, the plain truth. Their recommendations on how to pitch journalists covering different areas are a great help both for beginners who are just entering the profession and looking for ways to the heart of journalism, and for professionals moving from tech to finance. It is important to take into account the nuances of each area, even when using the same approaches. I started my journey in PR without a Guide to Pitching from Muck Rack. And let me tell you, when I read it, I found the feedback from tech journalists matched what I was seeing in their replies. I can confirm that tech journalists appreciate and are more likely to pay attention to messages with an interesting angle, even about obvious things. Muck Rack has the best guides I've ever seen. Waterless, with examples, and most importantly, the truth, the plain truth. Their recommendations on how to pitch journalists covering different areas are a great help both for beginners who are just entering the profession and looking for ways to the heart of journalism, and for professionals moving from tech to finance. It is important to take into account the nuances of each area, even when using the same approaches. I started my journey in PR without a Guide to Pitching from Muck Rack. And let me tell you, when I read it, I found the feedback from tech journalists matched what I was seeing in their replies. No exaggeration, Muck Rack has completely transformed the way my PR colleagues and I work. Our team had been anchored to a subpar competing platform for years -- a woefully incomplete media database, clunky engagement capabilities, lots of manual labor required, etc. On the hunt for better tools, we demoed Muck Rack and were impressed by the features and functionality. Now that it's deployed, we are absolutely blown away! Some highlights: * We love Muck Rack's seamless integration with Outlook and how it automates our pitching and provides robust visibility of media engagement across the team. It was effortless to configure. * The coverage monitoring alerts are robust, surfacing clips that our other monitoring tools miss. The platform makes it easy to manually search for coverage, too. * The media database is the most complete I've ever seen, and the fact that it's organized by journalist (instead of by media outlet like some other widely used platforms) delivers considerably deeper insight into your media targets' interests and sweet spots. You can easily see and even search reporters' articles across the media outlets for which they write. We've been using Muck Rack just a few months, and I feel like we've only scratched the surface of what the platform offers. I'm in and out of it several times a day. Top to bottom, it is user-friendly and intuitive. In complement, Muck Rack has a comprehensive array of online tutorials built into the platform, which is great for users to explore and learn its features and functionality at their own pace. Our onboarding team was excellent and the online support resources are quick and responsive. I'm not one to speak in superlatives, but Muck Rack has earned the rave review. Take the plunge! The only thing you'll regret is not doing it sooner.

Muck Rack makes finding journalist easy. Prior to Muck Rack my team was using Cision and we had to crawl the internet to find emails we needed. Muck Rack also makes pitching fast and easy. I love being able to track who has opened my emails, so I can target my follow up pitches.
