When I started this course, I was excited to learn how to take better notes, as in high school I didn't take notes and that was always a problem. However, I was also scared that I wouldn't be able to use all of Obsidian's functions due to its complexity. As I progressed through the modules, I was no longer scared. The course clearly explains Obsidian's main functionality and important plugins in a simple, straightforward way. I learned to take notes connected between subjects and semesters in a non-linear way, allowing me to understand concepts more deeply. I really liked being able to automatically do tasks like making notes with buttons and using queries with Dataview thanks to the vault provided by the course, saving me a lot of time. The course also saved me time creating my own vault and searching for content on YouTube - I had everything organized. Without a doubt, this course completely changed the way I learn and manage my notes. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get better at studying. I'm sure it will give them everything needed to use Obsidian and improve their grades.

The course is extremely rich with useful content that has helped me tremendously with taking charge of my learning journey for school and my personal interests! I would highly recommend it to all students whom are interested in learning more about Obsidian and note taking!

First off, fantastic course and despite initial doubts, worth every penny. I was looking for some kind of system from which I could build a second brain notetaking system, and I am very excited to give this a go. This seems to have a solution for all the problems I would run into before(how to actually make concept notes, capturing and processing information from classes, etc), and contains many things I did not even think of(like using Obsidian as a periodic notetaker and task manager). Overall, the course does exactly what you said it would, and I am very excited to start this system

Obsidian University has been mightily helpful to an Obsidian newby! The most helpful element is a complete Vault with much of your content and formatting in place. I know, for example, I am able to use a Daily Template to create DailyNotes. That one move made the whole product worth its minor cost. I started with Obsidian about a month ago. I found that it was complex and hard to understand. I was able to use Readwise to bring in the highlights of hundreds of books! Amazing. Was also able to bring in years of Evernote content. I completely get that the secret sauce with O is the ability to link content to other content. I've done little so far, but now I have a sound base with O, I can press on with new content and links. Thanks for teaching an old dog new tricks.

I found Obsidian University very helpful, not so much for the templates [which were very good], but mostly for the information on capturing and processing information. It gave me the missing pieces I needed to start working on adapting these principles to suit my own workflow / use case. I believe I got more than money's worth in purchasing this course. Thanks to both Aiden and John for taking the time to put this together!

This course revolutionized my Notetaking. I can't imagine going back. The Obsidian University template schema has a simple but elegant structure. The MOC structure and overall layout serves as the foundation for you to build your knowledge base. It allows you to effectively keep track of and organize numerous classes and information. I love how you can see all the notes which you created each day in the daily notes, it makes you feel like you're progressing. This has been a game changer, I highly recommend :)

Well structured. No prior knowledge of coding or Obsidian required. Beginner friendly, provides many resources for further development after completion. Instructors are very enthusiastic and easy to contact. Great for students looking to accelerate learning essential Obsidian skills!
