Once again, working with Micheal has proved to be one of the best decisions I've made this year. In the past, I've seen him for both physio needs and personalised training programs and know how brilliant he is. Before I started back with him, I was at a place where I was in pain with my knee every day and unable to perform squats or lunges in the gym without significantly aggrivating it. Michael set up a brilliant weight training program, incorporating rehab, and a running program that has me pumped to say that I'm almost pain free!!!! His knowledge, positive attitude and genuine care in my journey keeps me on track and progressing each week. I'm excited to see what the future holds for me with both my running and gym goals. If you're thinking about working with Michael then absolutely jump in with two feet, you won't regret it!!!!

For the last 2 yrs I have had a recurring rotator cuff issues, extremely painful all the time. I had lost hope & had no idea what to do. Within the first fortnight of following Michael’s rehab/resistance training program the pain significantly subsided & my range of motion actually existed. Finally I could train again,sleep..the moment I knew I was going to be ok again was simply turning my steering wheel…pain free. Life has started to feel normal again, not ruled by this pain. My advice is to not wait. If you are hesitant about starting don’t be. Michael is structured, confident, positive & straight down the line. I feel safe & for the 1st time in years I KNOW I’m going to be ok.

I had been struggling really badly with a bulging disc in my lower back for a couple of years. I was in constant agony and it was really affecting my quality of life both physically and mentally. I couldn’t do any form of exercise apart from gentle walking. It would take me a good 5 minutes in the morning just to try and straighten my back after I got out of bed. I had been to physio’s, chiropractors, OT’s and while some of them offered temporary relief, after a few weeks I would always end up back at square one. Then one day I stumbled across Michael’s instagram page and sent him a message asking if he could help. He replied almost instantly with ways in which he could help. Even though I was sceptical about how an online coach/physio could help, I decided to sign up to a personalised program and it was honestly the best decision I ever made. I’ve been working with Michael for over a year now and at 41 years old, I am the strongest and fittest I have ever been in my life. My back pain is completely gone. I do still get flare ups every now and again but I discuss the injury with Michael and we make modifications to my training so that I’m still able to train around it and I bounce back to full training really quickly too. Michael has been an absolute life saver! If you’re thinking of signing up, just do it. You honestly won’t regret it.

I’ve been working with Michael for a while now after signing up to his online fitness coaching program. I have mitochondrial disease which causes muscle weakness and extreme fatigue as well as a lot of other complexities which meant I really had to no idea how to start introducing fitness into my life. I wanted to find someone who had an EP/physiotherapy background who could really understand how to help me. I had been struggling to understand myself how to up my fitness game and my workouts were not structured and I wasn’t achieving my goals or getting a lot out of my sessions. I wanted to work on my body composition after dropping over 50kg the past few years, and be as strong and healthy as possible . I signed up with Michael to get some much needed guidance and support to continue my health journey with a more structured approach that also aligned with my values. I had heard good things about Michael and his values seemed very much aligned to mine. I loved his background in Physiotherapy and understanding about general health. His program has helped me to work around my disease and not let it stop me from exercising. His program is very flexible with Michael always available to answer my questions and tweak things where needed. The app is so easy to use especially for someone like me that has complex health conditions which affect memory. Michael has taught me so much with learning how to maximise my sessions, pushing myself but also recognising when the body needs rest. By following Michaels program my sessions are more intentional, I’m not getting over fatigued and can therefore get more out of my sessions. I feel like because of this, I am sleeping better, and fueling myself so I can really get the most out of my sessions . I feel like my mindset is so much better, as I have goals I am working towards and have a plan for going forward and that really excites me. I realised Michael was different very early on by teaching me that there are many parts to healthy living, and that mindset, nutrition, fitness, rest and movement all work together and we are in this for the long haul. There will be challenges but we find a way to work around them and we do every time. Even after my recent brain surgery we found ways to keep me moving safely in consultation with my surgeon. Anyone who is thinking about getting a coach should consider signing up with Michael because it’s not just one size fits all with him. He completely tailors your program and works with you closely to help you achieve your goals. He will also teach you how to work around challenges that come up whether it’s injury or illness or other things. He has a really sensible approach and always incorporates rest when needed, movement and getting you to where you want to be for lifelong health. I would highly recommend getting started with Michael as it’s life changing and I’ve never felt better.

Ive been using Michael to guide my fitness goals for many years now. Ive been active my whole life and in the gym since a teenager. Its funny until You have someone who actually is accredited, passionate and as knowledgeable as Michael Bull creating your workouts you think you know what your doing. It’s until then you realise how much time you’ve likely wasted by going alone. I’ve had a chronic knee and back pain for the last 7-8 years due to sport and work and a lot of my programming in the last couple of years have been built around rehab and keeping my body fit and firing for as long as possible; while still keeping my resistance training mixed in. I can safely say at the age of 34 I’m feeling all round the best I’ve ever felt. I’ll Either fit in a surf , round of golf or my gym and rehab program in daily and my body feels better than ever. We’ve done a lot Of trial and error through the journey; seeing multiple physicians, trying new treatments and Michael’s stuck with me the entire time in what has been the only constant in an absolute roller coaster journey to get back to feeling this good. All I can say is if your on the fence about the cost to use the services of someone like Train around pain (which is minimal in the grand scheme of Things). Your going to spend 100x the amount trying every other quick fix solution that’s out there and end up straight back where you should have been to begin with. Training with Michael. Put in the work with train around pain and your gonna see the results. Could Not Recommend higher.

I came to Michael early this year with a goal to run another marathon. Over the years I have trained under the guidance of Michael and have had great results so I knew this would be no different. The message was simple. Do the work, stick to the plan and the goal will be achieved. As the weeks/months went on the results spoke for themselves, I was running further, quicker and at a lower HR than ever before. Along the journey an injury occurred which saw me sidelined for some time. From day 1 of the injury Michael had me on a new program focusing on strength and mobility back to that area and before I knew it I was back out on the track. It was incredible how confident Michael made me feel in a time where I thought all the hard work was for nothing. I am currently the fittest I have ever been, and am the best version of myself when I’m training towards a goal. My advice to anyone looking to start or improve their training - skip the BS, get in touch with Michael and see results.

A few years ago, I broke my foot just after moving interstate during COVID. I didn’t know any local physios, and I was feeling really down, especially since I had been running consistently and thought I wouldn’t be able to train anymore. That’s when Bully stepped in. He provided me with an incredible program that allowed me to stay active while recovering in a moon boot for three months. Not only did I build strength during that time, but I was also able to return to running straight away and, in the process, developed a lasting passion for structured strength training. Thanks to Bully, I now have the confidence to walk into any gym knowing exactly what to do, with the safety of a well-structured, progressive program. Even years later, I continue to follow his programs and see the benefits.
