Our trip to Uganda was an amazing experience that far exceeded my expectations. Uganda is a varied, wonderful country with lovely people and packed with wildlife. Our tour was very well organised and our guide, Innocent, was very knowledgeable about the country, animals and birds and he was great company. We stayed in some great safari lodges which were a much higher standard than I’d expected. I particularly liked the shower with a view of the mountains in Bwindi and the bathroom looking out on trees full of birds in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. We shared our campfire with a group of hippos, walked amongst chimpanzees and spent an unforgettable time with a troup of mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We also enjoyed visiting local villages and a school, finding out about village life and learning about local enterprises. We were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. It was a truly unforgettable trip.
