TRUTH!! Exact to my experience this past week. Stopped doing your program and the last straw happened on Thursday getting out of an Uber at the airport. Could not step on my left leg, pain was excruciating. Ice on and off and ER visit thought I needed PT to ever walk or run again.

 Nope got down on the floor and started with the ankle circles etc and I'm out of pain thanks to 5 days of pain academy! LOVE this program, learned a lesson!

I've had lower back and hip pain for over s year now. I've tried acupuncture, chiropractic, working with a trainer in physical therapy all with only temporary relief. A few months ago I did the Pain Academy's 4 day better hip challenge and immediately saw a difference. Even my chiropractor and trainer commented on the difference in my hip mobility. I since signed up for the 365 day Movement program. It's a process but I finally feel like I am getting better!

This is life changing. I've had a pinched nerve in my neck for 25 years. Causes shoulder and are pain with very limited mobility. Low back and chronic hip pain for 38 years following a car accident. The first day during the movements my neck pain stopped and I was able to raise my arm. My hip pain is decreasing. I do the exercises daily about 15 month. I have Scoliosis and MS. I am 68 years old. My life has changed in many positive ways: I have less pain need no more medication. I sleep much more better. A year ago I only can sleep 1,5 hours than I had to stand up and walk around, do exercises, massage the muscles, now I often can sleep 4 hours turn around and sleep again. I am standing much more upright. In the beginning I only could do 7 steps and then pause, now I can do 50 steps. For me painacademy is a gamechanger. Maria from Germany

After trying everything to "fix" my messed up leg, I joined Pain academy. I am on week 2 and the move that is obviously addressing my problem is the hip twist over. YIKES... last week it almost brought tears to my eyes to try to do it on my problem leg, but it was the type of pain that I felt was beneficial, if that makes sense. It has been getting easier and today, day 11, I can actually do it in reasonable form for ALMOST the entire time. Also, today, I tried it again at the end of the session and it was so much easier. For the past 5 or so years, I have not been able to get comfortable to sit, or lay down, put on my shoes or socks, lift my leg up to get into my jeans or get into the car even. I was thinking about a hip replacement! I am astonished at this program...the approach makes so much sense. I want to thank you thank you thank you for putting this out there. I feel that I will be able to be the "active senior" that I had planned to be. I retired from teaching during the Covid shut down and went from having way too much to do, to NOTHING to do, so I hiked, a LOT. It was fine at first but gradually I could do less and less and only go short distances and I would pay for it for a couple days. I have been so depressed after nothing that "modern medicine" and traditional PT seemed to work, in fact the PT was making it WORSE! and on top of it I couldn't sleep at night because my leg was making me so uncomfortable. Anyway....I sleep and I can walk and I am going to try hiking again this weekend....I will stick with it, believe me! I am forever grateful that you make this program available.

I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 11 years old. Over the years, I have tried many methods in an attempt to manage the bodily imbalances and discomfort it caused, including Rolfing, yoga, somatic movement programs, the Schroth Method, and lumbar injections (nerve blocks). They all helped, but my sciatica continued to worsen over the last several years regardless of what I tried. Now, I am generally free of pain. When I do experience discomfort, I know that using certain specific exercises and routines from The Movement Program will address the problem. I look and feel straighter and more balanced.

After battling back pain for 3 years with nothing helping and I tried so many things, I signed up for the Movement program through the Pain Academy. But after several months into the program I could tell it most definitely was helping me. I found imbalances in my body I had no clue were there, and now over 5 months into the program I can do things physically I could not do before. I love the concepts of this program and the support provided by Vinny and his team. The videos are gorgeous, the instructions very meticulous, and the people working for this program are competent, caring and filled with love for what they do. RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fundamentals behind this program are on point. The man behind the program has a soothing, yet encouraging way of making you comfortable with your current ability level. He discourages flashy and showy work or speeding through movements to achieve a bigger range of motion. I use this has my prework out. I am rapidly noticing huge imbalances which have absolutely led to the pain I have been experiencing for years. I've jumped on them any programs over the years. This is structured so nicely which makes it easy to follow. The therapies are 20-35 minutes tops. The same therapy is repeated for 5 sessions and then you move on to another which adds more skills to what you have already been taught. I've been thoroughly impressed. I had spent thousands on acupuncture, chiropractic therapies, massage, stretch clinics, yoga, ice baths, hot tubs, foam rollers...nothing has been as beneficial to me as this. By your completion of the program you will have a fundamental routine which can be used to assess your imbalances and pain, as well as, correct them. Five stars. Invest in you!!!!!!!!

Ive been doing this program for about a month and it's the only thing that has brought me relief. I have buldging disk at L5s1. Doing anything was painful and my life didn't feel like it was in my control. I was so motivated to heal but I couldn't find the right path until I found pain academy. I still have a way to go, but feeling that I am making some progress keeps me going. I appreciate the detailed descriptions for each movement, it really helps me tune into my body. I listen to the videos each time I do my routines even if I have it memorized because the knowledge and encouragement from Vinny is always worth listening to over and over and I continue to take something new away. If you're debating trying this I truly encourage you to. I have spent so much money on many in person pts and some online programs, this one is the one that is helping me heal. I finally stopped taking ibuprofen and I can sleep through the night. Thank you pain academy * forever grateful and excited to see where I can go from here!

I’m coming up on 2 years of Pain Academy membership, after hitting the major aging milestone of 60 2 years ago and noticing distinct negative changes in my movement patterns and pain level. While I’m not “cured”, I treasure my daily time spent doing Vinny’s program because I always feel better afterward, physically and mentally. I’m coming up on 2 years of Pain Academy membership, after hitting the major aging milestone of 60 2 years ago and noticing distinct negative changes in my movement patterns and pain level. While I’m not “cured”, I treasure my daily time spent doing Vinny’s program because I always feel better afterward, physically and mentally. Thank you so much for the better back class! Unfortunately I can't watch live, but due to the class I have awoken muscles in my lower back that have been a constant issue due to them not activating. It's only day two but it has helped dramatically. My ankles no longer crunch and my runs have become more enjoyable after the first.

Thank you so much, I'm learning a lot. I have an old 2 yr ankle fracture, small chipped bone injury. For the past 2 yrs, its been a domino effect with pain issues, tight calves, hamstrings, glutes, all super tight and back pain...I walk like a penguin and can barely stand to do dishes, been in pain, stuck hard to walk and stand for months. "My favorite part of this so far has been knowing every day I have something to do or look forward to that may not provide immediate help, but I can tell that it's helping me in the long run, and it's activating certain muscles, even when, kind of go through ups and downs with pain, and sometimes things are a little bit sore, sometimes they feel really good. I feel 10 years younger three months into the program! I only wish I had this earlier in my life (I'm 42 now)--would have saved me a ton of money and time I've spent on chiropractic care, physical therapy, and massages for the last 15 years. The way the program is set up is highly motivating to me who grew up on video games, lol--I get excited to unlock the next rounds and phases. Best money I've ever spent! Professionals have always given me exercises to do, but I've never had anyone take the time to explain which muscles should be firing and which ones shouldn't when doing a pelvic tilt, for example. Vinny does just that. I've done exercises like these in the past but I always end up in more pain because I'm doing them with an imbalanced body and using the wrong muscles! Vinny teaches me to be mindful of what is truly going on in my body. He is a gold mine of information about pain and how the body functions and encourages a gentle, "less is more" approach. While there is some pain associated with teaching your body to use new muscles and relax ones that have been compensating, trust the process. Every time I would feel some new pain, I would get a bit discouraged, but within a day or two I was better off than before. It's like taking two steps forward and one step back when trying to fix years of imbalance and to teach your body to function the way it did when you were a kid and good posture was easy. I feel like Vinny has given me my life back as he teaches me how to put my body back together. Chronic pain had become the norm for me and inhibited me from doing many things I used to do and I'm only 42. I had no major injuries, just years of bad posture and a sedentary lifestyle. Eventually I had plantar fasciitis in my left foot and couldn't walk for a summer, then debilitating left hip pain for the last few years. Since doing this program, I've been able to take my kids to an apple orchard, dance the night away at a wedding, bake in my kitchen all day, and sit/stand for long periods of time--ALL activities I avoided like the plague for the last 5 years. I cannot thank Pain Academy enough!

They all somewhat helped but didn't solve the underlying problem. And I knew it, but I didn't know what to do. My issues aren't noticeable to the untrained eye but my imbalances have set me back years as an avid athlete. I am already feeling the substantial improvement from taking your free scoliosis workshop. I know that repetition will pay off! You're the man. Vinny. I completely understand. My nervous system is still a mess. I have severe muscle guarding in my neck after cancer. But I joined your program for the exact reasons you are staying. For my SI joint pain. Every time a PT would try to work with me, it got worse. Finally, someone said "it's your nervous system" after 6 years of pain. I miraculously found you. I have been following the Movement Program for about 19 months now and experienced exactly what you mentioned - relief from the symptoms I started with, then after a few months (when I was going through phase 5) I started having real trouble with my shoulder and physically couldn't manage some of the exercises. I reached out to you and got some good helpful advice, went back to the start of the program to try different routines and gradually my shoulder improved and has now been fine for a few months. I then recently experienced debilitating lower back pain and felt like it was coming from my hips, so I tried the lower back and hip targeted relief bundles along with heat packs and rest and dialed back some of the other workouts I normally do and after a couple of weeks I am back to feeling good and have gradually reintroduced what I was doing prior to the pain. Thank you for such a wonderful program and support throughout the journey. This program has genuinely changed my life and has become an integral part of my day to day that I actually now crave each day!

I have been following the Movement Program for about 19 months now and experienced exactly what you mentioned - relief from the symptoms I started with, then after a few months (when I was going through phase 5) I started having real trouble with my shoulder and physically couldn't manage some of the exercises. I reached out to you and got some good helpful advice, went back to the start of the program to try different routines and gradually my shoulder improved and has now been fine for a few months. I then recently experienced debilitating lower back pain and felt like it was coming from my hips, so I tried the lower back and hip targeted relief bundles along with heat packs and rest and dialed back some of the other workouts I normally do and after a couple of weeks I am back to feeling good and have gradually reintroduced what I was doing prior to the pain. Thank you for such a wonderful program and support throughout the journey. This program has genuinely changed my life and has become an integral part of my day to day that I actually now crave each day!

For the last 7 years I have been unable to squat with feet straight and no hip rotation ever since my car accident so thank you for hip challenge day 1 now able to Do a resting position on full squat and it’s actually a resting position my toes do tingle but I mean it’s only day 2!!!

Great video Vinny. I love learning! I am on my three year journey to restore my movement. I have had many micro breakthroughs, which I’m grateful for. My question to you is lately I’ve noticed That the right hip has been giving me trouble when normally it is the left. Thank you Vinny! I went for a 5.5 mile walk & had heel pain. After practicing the exercises with you, it helped a lot with my plantar fasciitis. I wear Saguaro shoes (shaped as your foot with wide toe movement). I am already part of your program & working out at the gym. I didn’t do me great service by not going all the time. My living situation just changed to where I am on my own (without my kids) & am setting up my home to work out again for me. I will start your program up again & do ‘for me’. I've noticed major changes though and have stuck through and usually the symptoms subside by the end of each week. 👌 Things reseting is going to bring up some resistance to the old patterns. Just gotta keep moving through it. Thanks so much for making this program. I've had more results in 3 weeks than years of in person PT.

It is really rare for PT to address the misalignment of the entire body.  As in, if the shoulders are out of whack, your hips won't function optimally.  I never heard a PT talk to me about how my nervous system is reacting to targeted movement so this program is really eye opening and fits right in with the Alexander work I do daily.  It's a year-long program and I try and do it every day.  I am seeing some improvements and am much more aware of my usage.  I still have knee pain going up stairs a year after my knee replacement and I think 5 months in the program.   After 5 surgeries(hips, kneee, shoulder) my misalignments won't be cleared up overnight.  It took me 27 years to get to where I am as a result of chronic arthritis, so I have patience and trust Vinnie and his crew.  I was surprised to discover that even after signing up for the year program at a cost of $1,000, I wouldn't be able to be part of the weekly  Zoom sessions where Vinnie addresses individual questions - that service was available the first month I think to give the participant a taste of what they would be missing if it went away.  Which it did, and I was unwilling to pay more.  Also, as far as the actual program goes, as I said I am finding a lot of value in integrating my ability to move, but I'm not sure I'm doing the most effective exercises for myself.  You yourself pick the exercises that would be most effective to work on a specific issue with a body part and I picked hips as I've had 3 hip replacements and recently 2 knees surgeries.  I think my knee surgeries were necessary bc of misaligned hips, but no orthopedist told me that (they just stay in their own lane:  knee guy focuses on knees, shoulder guy focuses on shoulders, etc).  So I'm not sure I'm doing the best cocktail of exercises for me.  This program is good, but it's not tailored to the individual - that would be $1,000 a week, not a year!

I've been doing the exercises regularly and am feeling positive changes and pain reduction (after a year of very little improvement before I started). It's possible that any movement program would be as helpful if I followed it daily; I can only speak to my experience here.

I do wish it were clearly indicated what the daily commitment would be each week. In phase 1, it was a very doable 15-25 minutes per session. In phase 2, the first day called for an hour. I wasn't expecting such a big jump. Knowing in advance would allow me to schedule my day more easily. (Now I just assume it'll be 30-60 minutes.)

Vinny's guidance is clear and non-judgmental. He starts with very foundational movement patterns. The routines build slowly in intensity, although every now and then there's a killer move thrown in.

This program is the only thing that has given me any light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. I now have 20 years of terrible dysfunction from my feet to my elbows. This accumulated from terrible ankle injuries that I didn't rehab properly when I was younger. I was a three sport athlete, college athlete, and pro racquetball player. The injuries and beating my body took was tremendous. I tried all the usual stuff to help my horrible hip and back dysfunction. Chiropractors, massage, physical therapy, egoscue method (which is great but didn't have much progression so it stagnated), acupuncture, etc.... minor relief came from these things and never lasted. Vinny spreads this information with love, compassion, and extreme passion. You can literally tell by his aura. His eyes say it all.  I've been doing this for little over a month while still having to work an extremely physical job, and my body is changing in ways that I never thought possible. I can't tell you how many times I've cried tears of joy from getting relief in certain parts of my body. I'm feeling much straighter, have activation in muscles that haven't worked properly in years, and have far less pain overall. Please please please give this a try and commit to you. I started this program a little over a year ago. I was not in extreme pain but had nagging recurrent problems in my right shoulder.  I wanted to be more flexible and noticed that i was taking longer to recover from longer hikes or trying a new activity and I sit too much and have some posture issues.  I know that I need to start strength training but was afraid of injury, so after seeing ads for this program and doing the better hip challenge, I decided to give it a try.    For most of the year except when I've been ill and a little for travel  I did the program every day.

It moved a little fast for me. I took a little extra time to get to phase three and a whole month extra before i started phase four.  Phase four was a struggle but I pushed through it and went ahead and started phase five but found it just too difficult. i was having leg cramps during the night and sore all the time so i decided to go back to phase three but with some new routines.  I was happy with that until a recent three week illness that I'm still not recovered from  that has left me unable to exercise, but I hope to start back in with a week or two of phase two and then back to phase three.  (I did a phase one routine yesterday and logged on to do one tonight when I got the link for this review)

So this program progresses through different routines that get harder in each phase.  You try out many different options and pick the ones that make you feel best and focus on those as you move  to the next level interspersed with new challenges. In some ways I love this but it also narrows the range of what you work on. That's why I ended up going back and focusing on different routines from the earlier phases, to build up the parts of me that could not handle a lot fo the phase four and five work.  

My shoulder was resolved within two months.  I have been gaining strength and better alignment when I move.   IN fact I planned to start weight training in January before this recent setback of this long lasting flu,

Many exercises are like the Egoscue method that I had used from a book to resolve back and neck pain about 12 years ago, but Vinny's videos made me understand that I was going too fast and sometimes without the right form.   It is valuable to have someone model the exercise and then  talk through them as you do them.    

My rib cage is rotated, one should dips a bit, one foot turns out when I walk.  I have made a small amount of progress on those things, not as much as I would like.  I still can't hinge forward and touch the ground (which is why I can't do a lot of the exercises) but I'm about 10 inches away rather than 15.  There are exercises that seemed impossible when I started that are now much more comfortable.  I couldn't find my glutes at first,  and it was excruciating to hold a squat for 1 minute or a wall sit for two. Now its easy.  My swimming times have dropped.

Overall this program has been valuable  to me and I have recommended it to others.  I didn't use the coaching much at all because of the time difference and I  had a few issues with losing access to the website a couple different times and with the initial order but they were resolved.    I'm 60 years old and I think its very important for me to keep using this program and hopefully make it all the way to phase five this year so that I will be in a good position to maintain mobility as I age.  

I would love it if there was an add one where you could send in your videos or still photos and get individual coaching.   It turned out to be a little less personalized than I thought. You assess your own videos.  But it is still a great program and if you are motivated to put in the work, you will see results,

"I have scoliosis, which is mild, moderate to severe base that's acquired because of a couple of injuries that I've had. This is the approach I've been looking for. I'm very holistic, and I've had the opportunity to work with some doctors in the long past who really had a holistic approach, but after the last knee surgeries, they became very medically modeled and really focused on just my knees and not my back. The fourth day of the hip routine was my favorite . Although its odd at first to be doing this from an online program the routines are designed to slowly deal with the incorrect function of the whole body . As we get older our injuries tend to resurface, and one gets trapped in a loop addressing certain areas one at a time. The results are short lived . This program changes the way the entire body functions, correcting imbalances throughout . I think this is a game changer for longer results. Everyone should know how form and function should work within our bodies if we want to live a long life pain free. Thank you Vinny!

I have been searching for a solution to side effects of osteoarthritis for almost 10 years and finding Pain Academy has been the best solution I have found. after about  2 months of daily exercises to help determine the source of the challenges I am noticing small improvements in mobility and sometimes less pain. it is a year long program and the price is right. I highly recommend this program for anyone who has mobility challenges.

I was made so aware of my pain cycles and getting caught up in trying too hard to get rid of my pain. "I would tell someone that it's really okay to go really slow, because what I have found in going slow is that that's where I find the nuances. That's where I find the places where I'm compensating and where I can try to relax and allow what needs to work to work. Egoscue, Foundation Program, Personal Trainers, and nothing has worked like Pain Academy. You get out what you put in: you have to be prepared to put in the time to follow the routines consistently. Change does not happen overnight; if you're like me, the problems took decades to develop. The program gave me pain relief, and I noticed how much more cheerful this made me, and better able to be there for my family. This Christmas will be 3 years that I've been enrolled in Pain Academy. Through out this entire time there's been only a few days here and there that I haven't done some kind of a routine/ exercise, even if it's just 15 minutes .Consistency is KEY!! Personally,I had lots of little issues that were slowly becoming bigger issues. I feel better , stronger and drastically more mobile! Not enough space to write everything that's changed. I signed up for the year program at the end of July.  I was faithful for 3 months and almost completed module 1.  It has been VERY challenging for me to stay with any exercise regime over my 74 years!!  This one makes a LOT OF SENSE and when I've stuck with it, it has been very good for me.  My mobility has increased as has my stamina and flexibility. I really appreciated the personal assessment process with a series of postures along with having my photo taken to see where the symmetry is off!!  If you do take the program, Start with the assessment as it really informs your understanding of why you are doing the various exercises and how it fits into your recovery.   For me, (as a trauma survivor with ADHD and sensory overload issues), the first thing to go when I'm overstressed is an exercise routine.  Just can't do it as I go into shut down/freeze mode.  Also, if I've got too many other obligations or stresses (A LOT lately) I've stopped in November into mid December... So the program and what is offered is EXCELLENT.  I've learned a lot about what causes my pain and also about how it "all fits together"... So, the part that is not working, is ME...I plan to talk with the program support folks to get on track after Christmas...They have been very good at making suggestions.   The other piece, is that Vinnie has lived through chronic pain and come out the other side with a LoT of personal expertise and training.  I have really benefited from his meditation program related to pain and have gone though the 30 day program 2 times.  It is very focused and specific and the short meditation periods on a daily basis really help. Before you do the year program, make sure you do the 4 day hip or back challenge.  Vinney gives some excellent routines and LOTs of background information about this program.  It is what got me interested in the program in the first place.

I started Pain Academy after post op surgery to the back. I opted for this program over Physical Therapy. I did start too early, but the Academy was kind enough to pause my program. Fast forward to 6 months post op, and have rejoined. It's a little slow going for me, but the movements i am following are really working. I do have to take a couple of days to let things calm down, so, do not think these simple movements don't work, because they do. I immediately can get out of pain in just a short time and i actually feel the difference in how my body moves. Vinny is a genius. He has figured out what does and does not work. I am a retired Yoga Instructor and kept my practice up as long as i could. I finally had to give this up and merely get in a swimming pool in order to keep moving. I miss what the Yoga did for not just my body, but for my mind. Vinny has figured out how to tap into the same. The movements he uses are slow and controlled and require an immense amount of mind and body control. So i want to Thank the Academy for giving me back what i have missed so terribly. I can now focus on rebuilding my body and using the brain at the same time. This is a workout, but one that leaves you feeling good. Thankyou, Thankyou, for such a wonderful program and one that lets me work at my own pace.

I find the exercises that I have learned how to do through pain Academy have benefitted me very much. I actually have muscles that are somewhat visible,  which is a great improvement for me. For the most part, the movements are relatively simple-looking; however, they require effort on my part. I really appreciate the time flexibility as I can do these exercises at any time of the day or night that I choose. Even if I miss a day, which I prefer not to do, I just go back and continue on from where I left off. There are a couple of exercises that, given the few fractures I've had in the past, I cannot do and so I just I just bypass those two exercises. My body feels stronger than it did before. PainAcademy.com restored my back function after a year when nothing else worked. Quite simply, it gave me my life back.  I'm a  75 year old 5th degree karate black belt and retired brain research scientist with a long history of lumbar stenosis. I had 7-years pain free after an L4-5 laminectomy, but then injured my back again and was in pain when standing more than a few minutes for over a year. I had to wear a brace constantly, put a chair by the sink to do dishes, use a wheelchair at the airport, and could not stand in lines,  kick higher than my waist or touch my toes. I tried acupuncture, chiropractic, spinal compression, and every "cure" on the internet for a year.  Nothing worked until I started PainAcademy.com. In two months, the 15-50 minutes of  daily guided exercise made my back 90% better. I do two hour black belt classes again and do not need the brace! I'm incorporating some of the exercises into my daily practice and will do them the rest of my life. I've realized that my lumbar stenosis and history of frozen shoulder (cartilage growth) have decreased the joint functioning of my hips and shoulders, and the whole body PainAcademy.com program is restoring the way they work together. I did Vinny's program for 5 months as a last ditch effort to total avoid hip replacement. Although I did end up getting a new hip my hips were so strong, balanced and mobile going into surgery from his movement program that my recovery was a snap :) Highly recommend it !

A friend from a sport I play with my dogs, agility, recommended Vinny and The Pain Academy to me. Like me, my friend had struggled with pain and limitation from past injuries and in my case, a hip replacement surgery which wasn't completely successful. I confess, I was skeptical but she persisted with encouraging me to try one of tge Movement Program's free routines. I had tried physiotherapy, reformer and mat Pilates as well as working with a PT with limited success and at great expense. At some point, I would hit a wall and be back to hobbling around again. I joined up to one of Vinny's 3 day hip challenges and at first thought the exercises were way too easy to make any impact. I was very wrong. Everything settled down immediately as my nervous system deregulated. I had relief from plantar fasciitis that had been plaguing me fora couple of years. Long story short, I joined up to the Movement Program with some trepidation. I'm in Australia and our dollar is weak to the US$ so it seemed expensive at almost double the US cost but truly, it had proved to be worth every single cent to me. I have barely needed a chiropractic adjustment, osteopathic treatment or massage the past year and I used to have all three monthly to keep somewhat "comfortable". I won't lie, I've had a few flare ups - that's pretty normal for me and Ive had to make some andjustments annd regressions to anddress these. it's nothing I've worried about. Ive just kept on track, confident that things would settle down again and they have. There is plenty of support from the team about finding a routine/s to help settle things back down and modifications to exercises that are presently too challenging. All in all, I am very happy with The Movement program. Vinny is an incredible source of knowledge and has developed a unique program that is tailored to your current physical needs and challenges, is progressive and adapts and adjusts to your progress as you move through the levels. Vinny knows and understands pain, compensation and body mechanics like no other practitioner I've come across. You're in good hands with him and his team. There are no gimmicks or quick fixes. promised. Disabling plantar faciitis was the first biomechanical dysfunction to resolve itself for me within a couple of weeks and has never come back after several years of trying every exercise, treatment aa well as expensive orthotics without success. That in itself was worth signing up to The Movenent program for me. Give the Movememt Program your consideration. Vinny is the real deal. I couldn't recommend this program or Vinny and his team more highly.

"I like how easy all the exercises are, and I like that we you're talking in the background. So that allows us to pass the time a little bit easier for some of the longer exercises, where we have to hold it for three minutes, four minutes, six minutes, and sometimes that can if you're just dwelling on any kind of, you know, hard part of the exercise, you just want to give up. But if somebody's talking to you, and you think about what they're saying, even if it's over and over again, it's helpful, plus, knowing the why of things is always helpful when learning a new exercise or or understanding why an exercise is being prescribed"

I am enjoying learning how to realign my body and educating muscles and bones how to coordinate what they apparently forgot some years ago. I am already stronger and can stand and walk more smoothly. The classes are the right length and build upon each other. It is almost like having a personal trainer helping along every step of the way. Being rather computer illiterate, I found that following some parts of the program challenging so that is also part of the learning experience for me. Also helpful is a place where personal questions can be typed in and answered by a real person even though we cannot see or hear them. I feel more flexible and look forward to class each day.

I love the mindfulness program and I play it before bed or whenever I notice something stressful going on. simple exercises like moving my foot shows me just how much w I have to do. For 7 months I did daily workouts and i loved the program and my movement patterns improved a great deal and i was relatively pain free.  Then i hit the biggest road block with walkouts and i couldnt see a way forward.  I stopped for 3+ months.  I tried to restart but the exercises were too hard.  It would be nice if there was a start over after a break guideline.  Overall this is a fantastic program andi never felt more flexible, pain-free and strong.  I just need to  work out how I'm going to get back to that point.

I have chronic pain my entire adult life, and I am in my 70's.  I know a good part of it is a neural circuit issue, but I also have a number of functional structural issues.  I am really noticing a difference with this program.  I am not going to lie, the progress has been slow, but steady.  At times it has flared up my existing symptoms, but I just back off slightly and keep on going.  I am noticing big changes 4.5 months into the program.  I would definitely recommend this program.

Being in my 70s the exercises hv to be toned down for some moves. I did enjoy doing phase 1 and 2. Now moving into phase 3 . Apprehensive of the longer routines esp the runners stretch in wolf. Will ask them to modify it for me. One can do within their limitations no forcing.

I'm so thankful for this program. I'm almost at 2 years hanging out with your movement sequences!!! I'm 50 years old and a vegetable farmer, I want to be able to farm my whole life and this program has me on track for that. I was noticing tightness in bending over, my left foot was turning in as I walked and it was a bit floppy. My spine is curved and and my right wing sticks out. I saw the results people were getting with your program and so I'm going for it. I see that this is a continuous practice and I'm all in. I tell everyone about this practice and when they tell me their hurts I tell them the problem is probably upstream of the hurt. It's not my knee but my very tight right hip and so on and so on. Mostly this program has helped calm my nervous system and I'm connecting to my body like never before. This program is about DEEP listening and awareness. My video of me walking might still look the same, I haven't checked but I don't feel the need to because as long as I listen to and communicate with my body THAT is the skill I want. I feel really strong.

Before the program I was always aware that I had imbalances, and that I was in general very stiff and it didn't feel good to move usually. I was looking for short term fixes to fundamental body and movement issues. The biggest challenge was learning how long it takes to relearn bad patterns, and also how not to force things when I wasn't seeing the immediate progress I wanted. I put my heart into this program it takes time and commitment but it is so so worth it! I honestly don't know where to start but my life has changed dramatically soon after I started the program. I haven't been pain-free but I continue slow and steady and faithful to these exercises, because they make a difference in how I feel every day. I have a job where I am on my feet for eight hours at a time and I feel great at the end of the day, where before the program my hip would have hurt so much then my back and l'd be on the couch not knowing what to do but rest and feeling depressed. Doing some intuitive running which I LOVE! Thank you Vinny there are no words to tell you how much your program had changed my life. My body just feels overall more balanced. With having a double cervical fusion I had a hard time looking up as in putting my head back, now I can totally it's amazing how the muscles loosen up! I still have a ways to go as my body was so out of balance but I did not know which way to turn. Now I turn to Pain Academy and do a few sequences and bamm I'm good to go for the day!

I had an s-shape scoliosis for the past 20+ years and could feel it getting worse. Although I could function somewhat normally despite the severity of the curve (45/55 degrees) in my mind I was preparing for a future of misery since modern medicine is still only trying to fix the symptoms (straighten the curve with the help of metal rods). With Pain academy I was trying to find a way to build up resilience to slow the dysfunction progression with a small hope of maybe getting a bit better. There is an exercise where you rotate hips against the wall while lying on the back - initially my left hip would only go about half-way. After few weeks of even months it would start to go further but with a lot of grinding and clicking. Now after a year the function of both hips is about the same during the excursive. Another thing I noticed is that over time same exercise would start working different areas - I imagine this is because the body would start moving differently, which I think is a good thing. Overall my posture is better, I have less random aches and my hips look a bit more even. Originally right hip was 2.5cm higher than left.

First, thank you so much. For the first time since finding out that I have scoliosis, I'm hopeful about having a pain-less and active future. I figured out that I had scoliosis at 12 years old while getting an x-ray for a seemingly separate injury (stress fracture in L5 vertebrae). I had a moderate curve of 30 degrees on my lumbar and a slight curve on upper thoracic in opposite direction, and I was braced for several years until I stopped growing. The universal wisdom from all of the doctors I met was that it doesn't get better — you can only manage the pain and attempt the keep the curve from getting worse. Then I saw the results of your program, so I signed up. Within weeks the pain in my left hip and lower back we're going away, and the knots in my upper right back that caused daily headaches were happening less frequently. Sure enough, a year later, and my stride is more balanced; I'm loose in my lower hip and back and experience far less pain if I'm regularly moving; and I have a long term vision for mobility. What's most remarkable has been my body's adaption to the movements. Now when I get into a rest position with my legs lifted, my hip and shoulder almost immediately begin to spasm and release. My emotional space shifted dramatically. I no longer felt the need to repress or ignore tightness and pain, and I felt that release daily. I'll share two breakthrough moments. The first was when I took a road trip and suffered very little pain or stiffness. The second was when I slept on the "bad side" of my back. I was only ever able to sleep on one side, not the other. Such simple but breakthrough moments. Finally, I was able to confidently begin biking long distances! A passion of mine that l've not felt confident about engaging in since college. | have hope! I used to wake up from anxiety dreams feeling that I'd be immobile before I got old. I no longer do! So grateful. I also have a much different relationship with my body. Very in touch and gentle on my movement, aches, and needs. I'm general, I have far less pain and, most importantly, know what I need to do to feel better. There's a way!

After years of physical therapy for shoulder issues and then a hip problem, my new religion is Egoscue, and my rabbi is Vinny. I say rabbi because his approach to your physical dysfunction is both much broader and deeper than that of a physical therapist, and he bases his customized program for you on not only watching your movements but also your emotional experience of them, which is a factor absolutely, since it affects the way you hold muscle tension in your body. Over the course of a year, Vinny instructed me basically on how to become attuned to the nature of the dysfunction myself and how to eventually work out my own program. The reason PT is unsustainable -- and I've done years of it -- is that it is piecemeal and attacks the problem only from the perspective of the presenting problem. Vinny analyzes your postural habits and weaknesses in a holistic fashion so that you can yourself address them. His approach does require time and dedication, but if you want long term results, he is the man! Generally, he is also a bundle of positive energy and a delight to deal with. On a few occasions I have contacted him with acute issues and he immediately directed me to just the right exercises which nipped them in the bud. In sum, if you just want a few shots of cortisone for a quick fix, the Egoscue Method will not be for you, but if your goal is maintaining your musculoskeletal system over your lifetime, you will want to invest in Pain Academy and sessions with Vinny.

A while ago someone pointed out to me an analogy I find very relevant thinking about the Pain Academy approach: imagine a house on fire - the fire alarm goes off and it's beeping loudly - to make the beeping stop we have to put out the fire or we can simple turn off the alarm (meaning the house is still burning but now the alarm is mute) - this is what happens when we follow symptom based treatments - As someone who is tired of muting symptoms I decided to change my approach to a more slow and steady method of dealing with my poor posture/back pain. The Pain Academy resources make you aware of imbalances and malfunctions that you didn't even know you had - another analogy but bear with me here: it's like connect the dots: before you start connecting a to b it's a blur of nonsensical dots - but when you have the information and draw the right lines the whole picture is clear in front of you. When we have all the information we need to understand the causes of the malfunction we can start adapting our behaviour and enforce the changes we need! I still have a long way to go, but I am loving going through the program, assessing my asymmetries and realising how they even out because they are evening out, guys!! - slow and steady but I will get there - body awareness at its finest. Thank you guys at the Pain Academy - your content is absolutely priceless.

I am so incredibly grateful to have been working with Vinny  for the past few months. As a dancer for 20+ yrs, my body had changed since tearing my adductor years ago and I've had different hip related injuries since then. Most recently I had spent months in physio treating 1 hip impingement but in the process, suffered another hip impingement (now on the other side). Walking, sitting, lying, dancing and twisting hurt. The restrictions made me fearful to dance and move freely, as I always seemed to be injuring myself. I wasn't really sure what to do. Thanks to yoga I met Vinny and was introduced to this method of healing through postural alignment. YASS FINALLLLLLLY!! At this point I'm so psyched something like this exists! Not just a bandaid for an injury, but an investigation into the WHY and HOW these injuries keep occurring, while overcoming pain in such a short amount of time ...is simply amazing. The cherry on the cake is actually learning what exercises help and why, so you can better HELP YOSELF down the road when your body is out of line.   I wouldn't have had this experience without Vinny. His yoga background, anatomical expertise and warmth as a teacher made me trust him instantly. Right away I felt genuine care from him and a passion for healing others. He was very easy to work with over facetime and has taught me so much that once had been counter intuitive to what I had thought would help. I went from not being able to sit cross legged due to sharp hip pain to dancing freely again. My back has doubled in flexibility (surprising bonus!) and I have more stability and flexibility coming back in my hips. I walk differently. I stand up straight and my core is more engaged. All in a few months work :-) Braxton has been such a joy to work with and has checked in with me every few days to to hear about my progress. I love this tailor made approach and honestly I've never worked with someone who cares this much. I am so incredibly grateful to have been working with Vinny  for the past few months. As a dancer for 20+ yrs, my body had changed since tearing my adductor years ago and I've had different hip related injuries since then. Most recently I had spent months in physio treating 1 hip impingement but in the process, suffered another hip impingement (now on the other side). Walking, sitting, lying, dancing and twisting hurt. The restrictions made me fearful to dance and move freely, as I always seemed to be injuring myself. I wasn't really sure what to do. Thanks to yoga I met Vinny and was introduced to this method of healing through postural alignment. YASS FINALLLLLLLY!! At this point I'm so psyched something like this exists! Not just a bandaid for an injury, but an investigation into the WHY and HOW these injuries keep occurring, while overcoming pain in such a short amount of time ...is simply amazing. People in chronic pain will try anything and pay any amount of money to live pain free.  When it doesn't work, their life spirals out of control and everything in that person's life, and everyone in their family,  suffers.   Like many other reviewers, when nothing else worked for me, I was lucky enough to finally find Pain Academy and Vinny ... 7 years into daily debilitating chronic back pain. Through Posture therapy, Vinny teaches me the tools to eliminate and prevent my pain through simple daily exercises designed just for my body and the limitations, injuries, and pain that my body has.  The program is designed just for me.  It is as simple as that.... for him, that is...because he is so gifted!!! I was so desperate to put an end to my back pain when i first made an appointment with Vinny. After just one online session with Vinny i realized it was not. He proposed a theory that the underlying cause of my back pain was actually my hip which appeared be non functional. His recommendations to me were based on this theory. He told me to follow them and see how i feel and we can take it from there. Before Vinny, working out, driving, walking for 20 minutes or longer, holding a light purse or backpack, (even wearing a bra with straps), sitting at my desk, and lifting anything over 10 lbs would trigger my back pain and this would, in turn, trigger headaches and neck pain that would last days and interfere with my sleep cycle. My pain significantly slowed down my progress at the gym and was a huge burden in my life. After Vinny, i went on a two week vacation to Italy. I knew i felt better after following Vinny's recommendations but i thought this would be the ultimate test since my last vacation to Rome (about 4 years ago) involved me having to stop at a cafe every 10 minutes because i could not bear the pain i felt in my upper back. I am now back from the most amazing vacation thanks to Vinny. I felt like superwoman. My back pain was significantly reduced. It felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders because i could finally do what i wanted to do without pain being an obstacle that i had to worry about. Moreover, i can actually feel my muscles engaging when i workout. My squat has improved, i finally feel my glutes being activated in my exercises, and i do not feel like my back is being cut with a big rigid knife when i weight train and thats great news for me!: Most importantly, Vinny CARES. I felt his empathy and compassion during our session and he showed great professionalism. I am so thankful and super excited to continue my sessions with Vinny!

I have followed MWOD and Strongman intently since my second knee surgery. For two years after my second knee surgery I "threw my back out" every time I cleaned 180 or more. Every Dr. and PT I went to could not help me, only gave me pain meds, steroids shots, and then "stretched me". My ankles are locked, my right hip is elevated, my right knee is painful and unstable....I have logged more hours watching video, reading books, going to Chiro's and PT's trying to understand my injuries. I have had to stop Crossfit, Oly lifting, and Running all together.  Then on Saturday June 24, 2017 my wonderful coach Chris Lofland hosted Vinny and his Pain Academy. After four hours of torcher on that day, I was incredibly soar, yet, I felt more mobile than I ever have in my life. The very next day I played four hours of sand volleyball with no knee brace or aches and pains. If you are serious about improving yourself holistically, this is your first step. I came to him a little while after having my second child, and when he asked what hurt, I basically told him "everything."  I couldn't put my finger on what happened, but I knew my body was off and it wasn't "normal" after having a baby.  As a former athlete, I had hit rock bottom and felt I would never exercise again. Little did I know that within a few months, I'd be doing bear crawls and inchworms across my yard with no pain. It's been a lot of work, but Vinny not only makes you think you can do anything, he gives you a program so that you actually can do anything.  If anyone is hesitating to reach out to him, stop that immediately and just do it! You won't regret it.

I've been in sports my entire life and had so many treatments, from chiro, doctors, massage, acupuncture and ART. I've had 15 major surgeries all coming from my right side. I decided to give Vinny a try over FaceTime and from the first session i felt a change in my posture and thus a change in pressure in my joints. It hasn't been hard to find the time to do my exercises/homework as this stuff really works.  Not only does the treatment work, but Vinny is an amazing person who actually really really cares. He always finds time to fit us in and makes himself available.  Since the treatment, I've enrolled both of my kids as well as both my brothers and many more.
