Following a layoff in November 2022, I struggled to find a new job and soon realized my strategy wasn’t working. As a result, I joined Project Pivot to enhance my skills and improve my chances of securing employment. I remember thinking to myself that I won’t only get a new job but use the opportunity to pivot to a senior role that would provide greater fulfilment. By the fourth week in the program, I landed a senior position with a 50% salary increase from my previous role! The program profoundly impacted me, as it helped me identify my natural gifts and align them with my career path. Secondly, my newfound skill of value communication will undoubtedly shape my career trajectory. It has not only impacted my ability to demonstrate the value I bring to any company or team I join but also given me the audacity to demand fair compensation for my work.

I was struggling to make progress in my career before I joined The3Skills program. I had been trying to go it alone, but realized that this was not the most effective way to succeed. Joining The3Skills’ community and Project Pivot was the right decision, as it gave me access to invaluable strategies to help me proactively approach the job search. I had been working as a nurse for the past 3 years and I was feeling burnt out. I knew I needed a career change but I didn't know how or where to start. I stumbled across one of Tobi's masterclasses and I was so captivated by everything he said that I didn't think twice about signing up for Project Pivot. I learned a lot from the 6 week program but the main things that had the most impact on me was learning how to make meaningful connections and how to correctly communicate my value. Whether I decide to make another career pivot, change jobs, or need to negotiate my salary I know that I'll be able to implement all of the foundational knowledge I learned in the program towards my career growth.
