I am very happy with the whole PBS system, as I have implemented this across all our clients (almost 60 now!). It has made the EOM work flow smoothly and is very uniform, so I know that each client’s file is up to date and consistently “clean” and ready for reports to be generated whenever the client needs them. Because we have great systems in place, it has also allowed us to take on more clients, increasing our revenue. What’s not to love about that? 😉 Last year when the new worksheets were released I was a little overwhelmed by the changes and the fact that I knew I had to change all the reports all ready set up, but how good are the new reports! I love them and they are so quick and easy to generate each month. I’m looking forward to a break from the end of the week for a couple of weeks and then to jump into the new year with energy and drive, knowing that all clients files are up to date and ready for the new year!

I just love the program, the system, the workflow. I don't think it's perfect, but one of the best things is how much time and effort is being put into getting the new PB Central working really well and the checklists more user friendly. I have to say Pure Bookkeeping has given me the courage to take on an employee with bookkeeping experience but no Xero experience, knowing that while she is upskilling I have a whole RAFT of tools that will help her through the learning process. I would NOT have done this 6 months ago. It's really scary but good to be able to move forward. Next employee will be my replacement! (well, maybe my clone, not ready to leave yet) And I am less stressed at EOFY than I have ever been. A night away last weekend and a weekend away this weekend... who'd a thunk it?

Since bringing in the Pure Bookkeeping System alongside Pixie, my business has completely shifted. I found Pure Bookkeeping via the Successful Bookkeepers Podcast when I was thinking of jumping out of the corporate world into bookkeeping. I didn't come from an accounting or bookkeeping background, but I did the certification and I found for myself, I needed a guideline and a roadmap to help me, and Pure Bookkeeping gave me that. I wanted to make sure that I was doing the work correctly and it just gave me confidence that I was doing the right checks. I think it just gave my business the framework for me to work within. I liked the spreadsheets which gave a good process. Especially, when you're busy, like I'm jumping from different tasks all day and it is reassuring to have something written down, I don't have to think about the next step and worry that I was missing anything. I enjoyed joining Pure Bookkeeping and when I was setting it up I thought that the team did that well. Also, I've enjoyed the courses and conferences Pure Bookkeeping has done. I think I would be a little bit lost on how to set up the structure. I loved that it was already available instead of having to make it up myself. It's kind of being handed it out as a platter almost. I think it's enabled me to pick up things for my clients. So for example, if they put expenses into the fixed AC register, the monthly reconciliation is very thorough and I found the system was good. I would recommend it to somebody who is doing bookkeeping, especially those who want to scale and grow. It's for business owners who want to ensure that their bookkeepers are providing the same level of quality as you are, that's what I like the most.

I love Pure Bookkeeping - it's all systematic. I feel like I'm all streamlined and not missing any bits. I can confidently say I've done all these checklists and I know that it's working well with my clients, and especially with Pure Workflow having all the information there for the client. I love how it links when you do an email. Even when I set up a template for a job and you put in their frequency, which matches the work that needs to be done. So if they've got weekly payment, weekly payroll or fortnightly, it'll match it. I find it good and haven't had an issue with it. Without Pure Bookkeeping, I probably wouldn't know what stage I'm at with my clients and if there's anything missing. Also, the community is good. I might not go in and ask questions, but I'll sit in the background and have a look at the messages and go, “Oh, yeah, I'll do that, or that's a good idea, or I haven't done that before!” So that's a good thing, too. That support.

When I first started, I knew I needed systems and I recognised I don’t have the time or skills to create the systems. It was a relief to find that I could purchase ready-made systems. When I was looking at Pure Bookkeeping, I found the testing was really really good. It was having those checklists and knowing where to start and how to do it and doing the same procedure. You can have half a dozen people get to the same result, but we all do it differently. It’s following that path. I would recommend Pure Bookkeeping to anyone wanting to grow a practice.

The best thing I liked about the Pure Bookkeeping System is what you call the family. As a family, all the bookkeepers come together. The other thing was how the management is making sure I remember. When I signed up, I was supposed to do the training which I did not do, so the Pure Bookkeeping team was actually fully engaged. They were always there and they always reminded me that this needs to be done, if you haven't done this, they will rebook you again. So I really liked that. Just like you cannot forget that you have signed up for this package. Making it accountable in a way. The system is great in itself.

Deb and Peter were doing a seminar in Perth and I just thought it was a great idea to go and have a look and have a listen. I had run my own bookkeeping business for many, many years beforehand and I found the seminar was great. It worked for me and I just joined up and got my business systemised. You know if you want to build your business, you’ve got to systemise. For me it’s just knowing that if you’ve gone to the checklist and you’ve done it all, you know that it’s all done, and that it’s all correct. And when you’re teaching a staff member, it’s much easier to show them if there’s a process rather than saying, I would just go and reconcile that bank account and they don’t. There are 20,000 ways to reconcile a bank account and you don’t always agree. But if you can see that it’s been reconciled, tick, that checklist is done, then you know that it’s done. It’s great for yourself and if you’re employing staff members. You know everything’s in order. It gives me comfort knowing you can find things and know things are done properly.

What I love about being a PB licensee is the in-person support from the PB leadership team and the community. Unlike other organisations, you get help from the 'top' down, not the other way around. The resources at my fingertips allow me to continually build on my skills and professionalism as a Bookkeeper. The candid and helpful experiences shared by Deb and other members reassure me that I am not alone in the challenges of running a bookkeeping business. The continuing education, generous sharing of information, and helpful tips around streamlining processes and industry-specific tech options are invaluable.

When I saw Pure Bookkeeping, I think it’s great. I think it’s amazing. It’ll be really, really worthwhile for a large number of firms. The infrastructure that it provides is something that is nearly impossible to develop as an individual while you’re growing. You always need it while you’re growing, but you can’t do it while you’re growing. It’s very well worth it.

I am happy with how the team are so helpful. They have guided me through (or are guiding me through ) the processes of setting up Pure Bookkeeping. I just had an offshore candidate get 94/100 on the Pure Bookkeeping Xero Skills test. I'm gobsmacked! I've never had a score that high before. If I could have added extra bonus points it would have been closer to 100. (created unique COS accounts for the Builder client rather than coding to generic COGS account). Merged dupe profiles. Split the tolls account for the same business use% he had to split the fuel by. Thanks Pure Bookkeeping for making this type of skill test and giving me confidence that this guy isn't all talk.

I have been with Pure Bookkeeping for 13 years and I would have given up long ago without the guidance it provides.

I love the upgrade to your website and the training process is much easier to follow now. But what I really love is the templates that you have created for us to use as this is a great time saver for me. Plus your HR and marketing materials are perfect. I love the new section about building the website as this was never there before. I live that you have screenshots for the processes along that way so that I can follow along easily. Your interview and skills testing questions for new employees are also very helpful. I have used this process before and it has really helped me in finding the right qualified person.

The Seven Secrets of Growing Your Bookkeeping Business Seminar was very good. My sister and I both felt that you had exceeded our expectations. Particularly how forthcoming you were with Debbie's business ideas, costing, charge out fees etc. That is core stuff we need to know in order to set up our business to be successful. We were both surprised with the frankness with which Debbie spoke about her business - that was extraordinary actually.

As a PB licensee for some months now, I have struggled with finding and let alone implementing a workflow system that would not only save me time but also tick all the boxes. When I was offered to test Pure Workflow, I couldn't be happier to have the stress of finding a system that works with what we do as bookkeepers and, in particular, the PB checklists. I really like the ability to integrate emails and work purely in the system, client by client, task by task, rather than getting distracted by other outside noise. With time management being the biggest conversation piece in our network, I can sense that PW will help to counteract most of this and I will feel a lot more organized! Thanks again for inviting me into the system.

It is a really good platform. And one of the things I absolutely love is that it's going to have email integration and I just love that because one of the things I find is we'll have an email come in from a client, for example, and it's copied to three or four people and then you don't know, ‘Did somebody reply to this and they forgot to cc me?’ So, it would be nice that everything is right there within Pure Workflow where you can see all the correspondence with that client.

I have tried two other workflow management programs over the past few years. Having already done a set up in two programs, I was so pleased to see how easy it was for me to migrate all of my client and contact information into Pure Workflow and to get started. The big game changers for me, however, are the built-in CRM and the customization and flexibility allowed by the ability to add "customized fields" for each client. Not only do I have all of the information I want at my fingertips for each client in one place, I can easily pull the information from those fields into my workflow templates. Those two features alone have already saved me an incredible amount of time and are worth the price of admission!

I think it's going to change the world of bookkeeping. And I love that it's going to be continued to be developed by bookkeepers and accounting professionals specifically for us because we deserve that.

“Simple, easy and efficient” is the best way to describe using Pure Workflow. This is the perfect complement to our Pure Bookkeeping system.

Implementing Pure Workflow and having access to the checklist has made a big difference. Being able to check BAS and check what our bookkeepers have done, as is having the checklist there is just making it so much easier and making sure that the client's work is right, we're not sending anything out that's wrong. And the other thing that's been really helpful is the skills test. I used it last year with someone that I put on and it was fantastic. Then I've just done one recently and unfortunately it wasn't as good, but I was just so glad cause it was someone that I thought was going to be fantastic and I was just so relieved that I had the skills test to show me that that wasn't the right person for our business.

What makes me happy? She gave us strategies she has used to grow her business and told us frankly about the issues she has encountered and how to avoid them. I was very impressed with the ethos that the Seven Secrets of Growing Your Bookkeeping Business Seminar gave to the bookkeeping profession and it has certainly reignited my focus to concentrate on providing a great service to my clients and provide more than just BAS statements and reports for their accountant. I became a Pure Bookkeeping licensee in June 2017 I was working four days a week with a few clients on the side. I customised the Sales & Marketing templates in the Pure Bookkeeping System and started marketing. I did a letter box drop using the postcard template, added my client testimonials on the back and got a great response. I customised the template to create a great website and two accountants have approached me and want to refer business to me. I set up fixed fees and direct debits with all the new clients and within six weeks of becoming a licensee I was able to resign my job! There's a checklist you can use to do a "Health Check" of the clients data file, client engagement letters, professional presentations for prospects and Accountants and much more. Becoming a licensee was the best business decision I've made. The PBS has already paid for itself in only six weeks!

I became a licensee in 2012 and I love the Checklists and processes in the Pure Bookkeeping System but I particularly love being part of the Pure Bookkeeping Community. The ongoing support, not only from Deb, but also from the community was something that I wasn’t expecting. Even though there are hundreds of licensees, somehow Deb makes me feel like I’m the only one. Growing a bookkeeping business can be an isolating experience. It’s much less so with the support of Deb, the customer support team and the other licensees in the Pure Bookkeeping community.

I am passionate about bookkeeping and it gave me a buzz to see that Debbie has the same drive and passion about empowering business owners around their finances. That really is what I am about. I’m not “just a bookkeeper” and Deb and Pete made that message come across loud and clear. As I’m just starting up I’ve already put into place some of the strategies Pete spoke about as part of the 7 x 5 Marketing Plan by putting together a flyer and handing it out to business owners in my area. An unexpected bonus was that while I was networking with other bookkeepers at the seminar I handed out my business card and offered my services so I might get work from them as well! That is a bonus! There is something for everyone at the Seven Secrets Seminar, it doesn’t matter what stage your business is at.

The biggest thing that jumped out at me was how much the authors knew about me and my business. Page after page was full of solutions that fit my business perfectly because it’s written for bookkeepers. The end result? Now I have a more specific destination (where I want to take my business) and now I’m in the middle of mapping out how to get there.
