The course allowed me to refocus and start the real leaning without AI "shortcuts" so that i can get a deeper understanding of the actual code i work with. The course helped me realize that my goals are achievable and that real coding is not impossible for older beginners like myself.

First off, Jason’s delivery was outstanding. In my 25-year career in high tech and after countless technical courses, he stands out among the top presenters/SMEs I’ve learnt from. The course was engaging and highly relevant, and I’m really looking forward to moving on to the next course. I’ve already started using much of what I learned in the intro.Even with years of Python experience, I think this would be an excellent introductory course for someone new to Python.

Jason does an excellent job of deliverying the material in an easy and enjoyable way to digest and truly does deliver 80% of the python you will use 100% of the time.

The class does a good job of introducing the major coding aspects of Python that the user needs to be aware of and develop further understanding of. It is a good start to lead into the next portion of the class: Pandas

Thanks Jason , this was the first python course I have taken where the lecturer has taken the time to explain what is available within the language, in addition to the necessary software required to be effective. Looking forward to the bonus material and building upon these foundations.

The course is effective and targeted. Jason gets right down to the nuts and bolts with practical examples while keeping the content easy to understand. Highly recommended as a refresher or for beginners

Enjoying the course thus far! I had moments where I needed to research for a solution, which I expected thankfully so! I also appreciated the quick turn around on questions from the community too. I am looking forward to the additional course content and the challenges and hurdles that I hope will further strengthen my Python skills.

Highly practical course for deploying python in a financial setting. Other courses focused too much on syntax and how it works not the actual application. Feeling confident in trying to build tools and analysis

quick and effective demos , very helpfull to grasp the language.
Great pratical recommendations, showing how to get started with anaconda for practical use of Python.

After struggling for almost two years to truly understand how to use Python in the context of Quantitative Finance, I was about to give up. I had taken several courses, but most were either too focused on generic Data Science or lacked real-world trading applications. Compared to platforms like MT5, TradingView, or MultiCharts, languages that are specifically built for trading, Python always felt overwhelming and scattered.
That changed when I started the course with PQN and Jason. His teaching style is clear, simple, and very practical. He’s not just a good instructor, he’s an experienced quant trader who knows exactly what tools, libraries, and methods matter in real trading environments.
Jason’s course focuses on real use cases, avoiding unnecessary theory or complex setups. He explains Python in a way that is easy to follow, always connecting it to financial applications. It finally clicked for me. What made the biggest difference is that he brings together the right balance of finance, coding, and statistics, something that's very rare to find!
This course isn’t just about learning Python, it’s about learning how to think like a quant and build a solid foundation for algorithmic and quantitative trading.
Highly recommended for anyone feeling lost between trading platforms and Python programming. Jason makes the journey doable and even enjoyable!

The course was highly effective, focusing on finance-relevant Python skills:
Finance-Focused: It taught essential syntax, data structures, and tools like Pandas and NumPy through quant-specific examples, avoiding irrelevant topics.
Hands-On Learning: 20 hours of videos, 10+ code templates, and clear walkthroughs made complex concepts like market data analysis accessible.
Streamlined Setup: Guidance on Anaconda and the Python Quant Stack ensured I could code without technical hurdles.
The course aligned perfectly with my goals in quant finance and QIS:
Advanced Quant Skills: I transitioned from Excel to Python for modeling, using Pandas for data analysis and SciPy for portfolio optimization, enhancing my QIS strategies.
Efficient QIS Development: Templates for algorithmic trading and risk metrics accelerated my ability to prototype and test strategies like factor investing.
Time-Saving: The self-paced, no-fluff structure let me focus on relevant skills, with bonus modules on NumPy and Scikit-learn addressing immediate QIS needs.

I signed up for the Python Foundations course and greatly enjoyed it. I did other introductory courses that were foundational but they tended to be too time consuming and too broad. This course provided me with context and a better understanding of the use and applicability of python for finance. That's exactly what I wanted.

Course provides an overall good recap with practical examples. Is fast-paced but thorough. Is a nice refresher of python fundamentals. Is probably not the first course someone should take if just getting into python as it moves quickly. However, it feels nice to reinforce basic python concepts.

Jason does a great job of explaining Python programming concepts as well as the Python packages that are critical in finance. I think that the course accomplishes his goal of teaching you the 80% of Python that you'll need to analyze financial data.

Python isn’t just a programming language — it’s a key to powerful financial libraries that simplify complex tasks. This course not only teaches Python, but also shows how to leverage these libraries for personal finance projects. I highly recommended for anyone looking to apply Python in finance!

A great course for getting started in Python, and understanding the way it all fits together. Its going to be a super useful reference as I continue to explore Python over time.

As a new entrant having no coding experience, Jason does a great job of simplifying concepts and prioritizing the Python you actually need to start Quant/Algo Python. The code he provides are real world examples that you can actually apply to your trading or bring to your career. I started in the initial Quant for Finance course and really enjoyed Jason's teachings, the example code provided, and concepts. The Foundations course allows me to circle back to some of the basics of the code that I was missing to and circle back around to the other advanced topics.

This course has helped greatly in bringing together the somewhat complex setup for using Python for programming. An introduction to elements of the code structure has been useful to point the way for more advanced work. Looking forward to learning to use the associated library applications.

The course is given me a great grounding in Python and coding in general.
Being new to this - I'm appreciating the right balance between learning what we need to know and some of the theory/science behind this.
And as a newbie - getting presented from the start what is best practice in Python.
A great pre-cursor to your Main Course too.

The course is great in term of teaching the basics of python and applying it to finance. That application to finance in courses seems to be relatively rare, also courses available often are old or using older APIs.
Frankly I am more interested in the Bonus content that digs more into the finance related python libraries and applying it directly to quant finance.
