I discovered Reynard's YouTube videos and found his calm delivery and bite-size learning engaging. I decided to enrol in his course because I will be moving to my new home in a few weeks. Friends have commented I have an eye for design when visiting my first home so I decided to explore this interest further. The course fee is affordable. I'm really enjoying the bite size learning, short videos. It is self-paced so I can pause and explore concepts and ideas more. I find the Notion page very helpful especially the template for saving furniture ideas that show impact to the budget. I also like that the course encourages you to really reflect on your personal style rather than trying to fit all that I like about design into one broad style.

I was looking for design ideas for my home apartment. Having followed Reynard on YT, it was like a natural step for me to sign up for this course. I am very satisfied with the course & recommend it for anyone, no matter what level of design proficiency you are at. The simple, bite-sized chapters are very easy to understand. I'm a 69-year-old widow of a 45 year marriage who felt overwhelmed about how to redecorate on my own. I tried to self-learn but was overwhelmed by the dearth of information in innumerable places. Whilst its always been easy to identify things I like or a room or house that looks nice, I have always been at a loss to translate that into my own home. Just by luck I stumbled upon Reynard's video's on Youtube and got a lot of value from them. I did debate purchasing the course for a while, questioning if it would be of any added value - I can whole heartedly say that it without a doubt is worth every cent. The course structure, templates and shopping list, along with Reynard's calm and well structured presentation leads to a sense of calm and the realisation that it is 100 per cent doable to make your home look how you want it to look. The sense of clarity and structure that the course brings to your thoughts is worth it alone, not to mention the hundreds or thousands of dollars it will save by making the right design choices from the start, and then above all, actually getting the home you want rather than something that still doesn't feel right. If you are on the fence about purchasing the course, I say go for it, it is an investment that will pay itself off many times over. Its basically the price of a couple of particleboard base cabinets when you think about it, and worth so much more than that lol.

This course was well laid out and easy to use. The templates were very helpful and the "rules of thumb" made a lot of difference. The tools on mocking up rooms are game changers to be able to see how things will look together before making costly bad buying decisions. This will save a lot of time. frustration, and heartache.

I hate the term but this is a game changer!! To be able to see what a room will look like with the pieces you have in mind, without the expense and need to learn how to use a design software, is amazing.

The assessments of the current design are super accurate and spot on. Even identifying items that intrude into the rooms traffic flow (true).

Practical Home Design truly delivered on its promise: a very useful course, that gets you practicing what is taught. We just got into our first home. Full of ideas, we managed to get a sense of the style(s) we’re leaning towards after collecting many, many examples, but neither the amount of houses to apply them to nor the budget to match. Cue, this course. We came across his YouTube Channel on one of our binge home improvement watches. The free videos were succinct and valuable, so I thought, why not give the course a go? I’m glad I did. Reynard truly has the gift of curation — bringing the most important concepts to attention, giving plenty of examples so as to be practical, but with enough balance to still allow for individual tastes, rather than a prescriptive approach of how one makes their home. In that sense this course has served as the “guiding core” that taught us what suits this house and how we live and use the space in our current season in life, and what is for “the ideal forever home” — while maximising the enjoyment in-between. I’ve yet to finish this course as other commitments got in the way. But it was just as easy to resume, or pick and choose the bits that’s relevant to the project I’m planning to tackle next. If you’re time poor with big dreams, get this course — you won’t regret it. This course has been a pleasure to learn from. Thank you Reynard!

I highly recommend this course. I was going to hire an expensive designer for my home and while the designer could help me, in my opinion, this is doing the same thing at a much lower cost. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it and I’m only halfway through and I already feel I’ve gotten my value. The short and longer videos are perfect in length. My favorite part of the videos is that you are learning something in a clear manner and getting straight forward ideas on how to design and decorate.

Having downsized to a smaller home, I found myself with a lot of furniture that was too big and too numerous for the new space. So, I got rid of the things I didn't love and was then faced with the prospect of choosing new paint - the house needs a refresh - and new furniture of the right scale. My family is having to deal with a major foundation issue, which means I have the opportunity to work with an architect to redesign everything except the original house (which is 100 years old) and in the process it's also getting quite a bit larger. The architect is doing a beautiful job but next it's on me to do the interior design. I don't want to hire someone because all the houses I've been in here that were designed look lifeless and I want the final design to really reflect me and my family. Sure, there's free stuff out there--but this is organized and goes so much more in depth! It takes a lot of time but I know it's going to be so worth it in the end! Other courses out there aren't so practical. I like how everything is spelled out. I've started with a couple of the rooms in the old part of the house while I'm waiting for the rest to be constructed and my family is really loving the changes. I can't wait to come back with photos when I'm finally done! This is my second interior design course, I hesitated on buying anther one due to my disappointment in the 1st one, and there being so much free information on YouTube already. I don't regret my purchase, everything is laid out so well and it's a lot less overwhelming than trying to figure this out on your own.

From colour theory to styling, to furniture selection and cohesiveness, I learned a lot about what makes spaces work. 3. The price is a fraction of what it would cost to hire someone. It's especially great if you are able to take the time to use the (many, varied) resources that he has to offer. 4. It brings together so much of what is already great about his videos, in one clear, sequenced package.

After taking the course I can confirm you get so much information and benefits from not just the theories and examples and the step-to-step guide (which just met my expectations as someone who wanna rearrange my home but doesn't know where to even start) but also from all the bonuses. The lessons are on point and easy to understand and make so much sense. All the templates provided in the course itself are already worth it because I just need to follow the rules, the space already turns out much better. It is still an ongoing project because as he always emphasizes patience actually matters so we are not rushing it. We took in the lessons and applied our own along the way. What information about the modules on the web is exactly what I get and even more. As a couple, we don't want to get too much theoretical or too advanced but something that we can learn, follow, and apply to our own, and that I really appreciate the lesson Reynard put together. I've been looking for a template like this one. We used Excel before this to keep track of our home spending and it is so cumbersome to organise everything. Not to mention all the bookmarks and random screenshots of the stuff we want, I don't even know where to find some of them anymore. The furnishing template allows me and my husband to keep track of everything from wishlists to budget, and I liked that we can both add things to the same dashboard which we can then review together when convenient.

I am a 58 year old person who has always had an interest and a decent eye for interior design and i wanted to finally educate myself by taking this course. i am helping a friend with their NYC apartment and I have found this course to be extremely valuable.

I've been following Reynard on YouTube for a while now and always liked the way he explained things. This course delivers exactly that - it feels like watching his YouTube videos, but more refined, and he goes much more in depth into stuff. I particularly liked the chapter around color, it gives me a really good understanding on how color works with one another. I also found the part about finding your own style, space planning, and even the styling tips to be really helpful. Definitely recommend taking the course especially considering that many around this price point only covers the theory.

I definitely came out of the course feeling more confident about my own choices. I like that the course is not about pressuring you into a certain style but rather offers you a way to find out what you personally like and how to apply and execute them. It's a decorating course, so don't expect anything around kitchen or bathroom design. But it really covers beginning to end from the moment you walk into an empty space: finding inspiration, colour, lighting, space planning, looking for furniture, the finishing touches, even things like where to allocate your budget.

Saved me from buying things I'd have regretted, that on its own is worth the price I paid for the course. Work is still in progress for my home so unfortunately no before and after images yet, but I'm confident I'll be happy with the outcome.

I always thought I had good eyes putting decors and furniture together till we actually have our place. The scale is different from all flats we rented before, and we have to work on more rooms. I went from being all excited (and buying tons of useless stuff) to feeling like giving up (and spend countless hours on YouTube and Pinterest). I’ve followed Reynard free content on YouTube and Instagram for a long time and first thing I purchased was the Mega Shopping List. From this, I got the chance to explore and find the pieces that actually fit our space. This is like a guide for someone who is clueless about where to even look at in the first place because again, I don’t work in the industry to know which store is legit, which one is a scam (which is a big thing here on the internet). The moment he announced a course was around the corner, I signed up and we both agreed this is the best purchase to finally get our home to the finish line. Even though Reynard did mention that this was going to take time and we shouldn’t rush the process, having a guide from end to end is a huge help and most importantly, it is like a cheat sheet I can lean on when I feel like being stuck and it helps me to actually feel good when decorating my home. What I love about the course is that it’s not all about theories. I consider myself not the best at committing to (almost anything/and always looking for shortcut 😭😭😭😅) so the content of the lesson giving the information that is just right and concise with practice I can apply to my own place. If you have paid for any other design course that in similar range I don’t think you can get the same amount of goodie stuff with this one, and that is why I highly recommend you try this one out yourself if you happen to be in the same shoes like we did. Well structured course without fluff and well delivered. I like the layout and would recommend it to those looking into interior design whether for personal projects and hobby or looking to go down the path of a designer.

The brand guide has been great! Really helped my wife and I find good furniture that fits our style. Plenty of brands I was unaware of. If you are only used to buying from box stores and IKEA, the brand guide is a quick way to become familiar with what else is out there so that you can start building your unique home!
