I’m a busy business owner with an electronics education from the dark ages (early 1980’s). I’m comfortable with working on low voltage power systems provided I have the proper knowledge and a good wiring diagram. A couple of years ago I purchased a partially built Sprinter van that included a Victron system with 600AH of batteries that was “still in the box.” Because I didn’t have the time, I paid a builder to complete the van build including installing the Victron system. The Victron system worked but unfortunately it had many deficiencies, such as incorrectly sized power cables, lack of proper fuses, and other potential problems. I also had a high output secondary Nations alternator and Wakespeed 500 regulator still in the box that wasn’t installed by the builder. I had the alternator installed by a qualified Sprinter mechanic and consulted with Ross to review the wiring of the Victron components how to wire the secondary alternator & regulator. Ross helped me understand how it all works together, how to safely wire the system, and he detailed the required power cable gauges and fuses throughout the Victron system. I purchased a follow up consulting session with Ross to double check my wiring, properly set up the Wakespeed 500 regulator, and tweak the Victron settings. The consulting sessions with Ross were worth every penny. Now I understand and feel confident that my high energy power system is properly wired and functioning properly. Thanks Ross!

I consulted with Ross on help planning out a power system we could retrofit into my 2005 Bigfoot. Ross answered all the questions I had and even the frantic emails because of a time deadline. Ross, always got back to me with answers or options to try. Honestly, being able to get a complete list of parts along with the tools needed to get the job done was a huge help. I would recommend Ross any time.

It's a pleasure to work with someone who listens as well as they share information, and Ross is a good listener. And as any consultant worth their salt will tell you, it's important to consider the un-asked questions, the topics that pertain but aren't addressed. Ross does that. I highly recommend that you ask Ross to review your component and wiring design before finalizing it. Although he specializes in van conversions, I found his expertise readily transfers to trailer/camper conversions. My cargo trailer is for hauling and camping and I need to integrate a tongue-mounted generator (propane, under 50 dB) into the system. He not only answered my question about floating vs bonded neutral ground but did additional research and got back to me with detailed information. I was looking for someone with years of experience, integrity, and a willingness to help, and am very glad I found Ross.

I am a novice at this stuff and bought a van that has a partial conversion, and also I have an EcoFlow power supply that I bought so that I could get on the road right away. I asked for advice from Ross about how to move forward with a full conversion given my combination of resources. Ross took this on and gave me clear guidance on how to move forward, what options there are for different scenarios, how adding A/C would impact that, shore power, battery requirements, and much more. It was a very helpful session and I would highly recommend Ross.

I had a consultation with Ross and the only thing wrong, I should have done it much sooner. I wasted a lot of time and trial and errors. Ross explained everything in simple to understand language. He even tossed in an unrelated bonus tip. Highly recommend and do it up front on your planning stage.

I came to know Ross through his youtube videos. When I went to Ross's website and learned he did hourly consulting I was excited. I had a project upgrading my camper's battery system in order for me to be able to work. It was mission critical. Ross's website allows you to quickly and very easily schedule your appointment. The web meeting tools were first rate. I was able to upload all of my questions, pictures of the existing system etc in order to make our meeting as productive as possible. Needless to say, our meeting went well. Ross thoroughly reviewed my questions and the info that I uploaded before our meeting. He gave me a number of tips that, had I not gotten his input, would have been left undone and could have caused a problem. An hour was a good starting point for our first meeting. I still have another hour to use in the future which I'm sure I'll cash in shortly. If you're on the fence about spending the money for a consulting session, let me tell you, it's definitely worth it. There are a lot of times in life where I feel like I didn't get my money's worth. This is NOT one. I definitely got more than I paid for and am most grateful. Thanks Ross! 5 Stars man....
