Over the last 2 years, Running Remote has become my absolute favorite community.
Leading a People team in a fully distributed environment can feel lonely sometimes. We have moved away from the traditional definition of HR and from well-established office work practices. We are reshaping everything, and what makes it exciting and scary at the same time is that no one has done it before us.
This is why exchanging experiences with fellow People and Remote experts is invaluable.
If you are a People Ops executive at a remote or distributed company, a founder, or a Head of Remote, I strongly recommend checking it out.

Connecting with like-minded professionals has been key to my career growth. I found my true community when I joined Running Remote.
In this group, I connect with other People Ops leaders and founders scaling remote companies past 100 employees. Our monthly peer-to-peer masterminds are invaluable—we dive into challenges and share insights from our experiences. It's reassuring to hear how others have navigated similar hurdles at Ergeon.
The Running Remote community includes leaders from companies like Doist, Toggl, Zillow, MailerLite, Atlassian, Gitlab, and Checkly, who all understand the unique challenges of remote work. They're always ready to help. Plus, the annual conference has been a fantastic opportunity to meet in person and deepen these connections.

The Running Remote community has been a great source of discussion and information about how to do remote well. I'm also part of a mastermind group within this that has been super valuable. If you are a leader in a remote company and need a place to discuss things, this is probably your best bet.

I am part of, or have joined and left (whoops! 😮) around 30 slack communities, and genuinely none of them compare to the Running Remote.
Kasia Triantafelo does a fabulous job of wrangling us all and making sure conversations are engaging, connections are formed and everyone is sharing valuable insights.
If you want to get a taste of the conversations we're having at Running Remote then please take a look at her LinkedIn newsletter 📰.

I love the collaborative and transparent spirit of remote and distributed organizations. 🗺🚀 One of the 💎 💎 I found was Running Remote community. The members are so generous with sharing their expertise and real-world experiences.
They say all good things come to an end, but for me it is a gift the keeps on giving. It opened up a lot of new experiences, network of great people, and friends!

When I was working in People Operations, the RR community was my go-to whenever I needed advice for supporting a fast-growing, fully distributed scale up. People were always generous with their insights—whether it was ideas for employee benefits, organising company retreats, or optimising operations.
What reassured me the most was knowing that we were all figuring it out together. No one had all the answers, because remote (and later hybrid) work was—and still is—constantly evolving and adapting to the world around us.
Now that I'm a consultant for remote and hybrid teams, I continue to be impressed by the value this community offers. The randomly matched virtual coffee chats have reconnected me with people I've met over the years, introduced me to new clients, connected me with others in my region and helped me find talented guest speakers for events that I organise.

I recently joined the Running Remote community, and I'm so grateful that I did! It's not easy to build an engaging culture at a globally distributed remote company, but that's exactly what I'm trying to do at XWP.
Having the opportunity to learn from my mentors, and from amazing remote leaders inspires me to try new ways to support my teammates and to remember that while my approach may change over time, the ultimate outcome is meaningful community engagement, and that is absolutely a goal worth striving for!

I came across the Running Remote community, and 2 years on, I can safely say it is the best knowledge hub about everything remote (in addition to being filled with awesome people!).

For the past two years, I have been part of an incredible community—the 'Mastermind Founders and Leaders' group within Running Remote. This group meets monthly to address challenges that each of us is facing, providing a space for honest feedback and shared problem-solving.
At the end of 2023, I brought my challenge to the group: despite Na’amal’s successful training program for refugees and under-resourced individuals, I was struggling to get companies to hire our graduates. One member of the group shared a transformative insight: “I would not hire one of the people you train, but I would outsource a project to you.” That comment sparked an idea, and just one month later, the Na’amal Agency was born. We landed our first project and began collaborating with the three incredible refugee full-stack developers.
The Running Remote community, which includes leaders from remote and distributed companies like Doist, Toggl, Zillow, MailerLite, Atlassian, GitLab, and Checkly, has been an invaluable source of support. I am so proud that Na'amal is part of such an incredible community. If you are leading or working in a remote company, I highly recommend exploring this amazing network: lnkd.in/ewA-Cvmu.
