We found our unicorn with Shop Boss. The system isn't as "pretty" as some of the others, and it does take a minute to figure out where everything is. But when you do, it makes much more sense to do it the way Shop Boss has done it. This program is as robust as it gets, and the CRM they undersell is exactly what a small shop owner needs without all the frills and without nagging notifications, and useless features.
The system is every bit as configurable and inclusive as I need it to be and it has helped us keep our overhead low by having the most bang for buck, while also doing what we need it to do without needing to hire someone to manage it.
Additionally, the support and follow-up is second to none. Literally. One of the biggest reasons I left our last software company was because once they got our business, getting someone to help with system issues, questions or support took days - DAYS. You lose customers when your estimating software or payment abilities go down for days. It was not acceptable.
I could keep going but all in all, I cannot imagine anyone giving this program a fair shot (and believe me, I've tried to break it) and being disappointed with it.

We really like the Shop Inspect feature that easily allows us to send pictures and video directly to our customers. To top it off, 360 Payments has excellent processing rates and integrates seamlessly with ShopBoss. This is all around the best automotive software we have found. We are so grateful to Khrist and the entire team that keeps our small business running flawlessly!

Great system ! I moved away from my previous system due to changes beyond my control. Looked at many different systems, even tried another one for a bit. We began hunting for shop management and quoting software last summer, and watched dozens of demos. We tried using (and paying for) several other programs and never really found a fit because most programs were geared towards limited service shops OR they weren't all inclusive and didn't interface smoothly with other systems (QuickBooks, CRM, etc.).
We found our unicorn with Shop Boss. The system isn't as "pretty" as some of the others, and it does take a minute to figure out where everything is. But when you do, it makes much more sense to do it the way Shop Boss has done it. This program is as robust as it gets, and the CRM they undersell is exactly what a small shop owner needs without all the frills and without nagging notifications, and useless features.
The system is every bit as configurable and inclusive as I need it to be and it has helped us keep our overhead low by having the most bang for buck, while also doing what we need it to do without needing to hire someone to manage it.
Additionally, the support and follow-up is second to none. Literally. One of the biggest reasons I left our last software company was because once they got our business, getting someone to help with system issues, questions or support took days - DAYS. You lose customers when your estimating software or payment abilities go down for days. It was not acceptable.
I could keep going but all in all, I cannot imagine anyone giving this program a fair shot (and believe me, I've tried to break it) and being disappointed with it.

Great system ! I moved away from my previous system due to changes beyond my control. Looked at many different systems, even tried another one for a bit. Although people are raving about them, they didn't deliver. Looked closer into ShopBoss. Went with them and could not be happier. I just got a service writer with experience and he is blown away at how powerful and easy to use. He kept saying, it can't be that easy. I mentioned, that's how I've been able to run the shop with 2 techs so long without a service writer. Parts integration is smooth and automatic appointment reminders to my customers is great. It's taken a load off my wife who does the accounting with the invoices and payments rolling over to quickbooks with that integration. Wouldn't think of switching away.
