I love Tammy's patient and thorough teaching style in SketchUp for Interior Designers. I had been intimidated and avoiding learning SketchUp because I remember how much trouble I had learning AutoCAD and thought SU would be just as difficult and frustrating for me. I am SO glad Tammy dispelled my belief that all computer drafting programs were going to be impossible for me to learn! The lessons are broken down into very manageable amounts of time (5-10 minutes each) and she goes slow enough to follow but fast enough to keep students engaged and wanting to move onto the next lesson. Having files to download and print out make it really easy to work alongside her and be able to reference a hardcopy for accuracy. I just wish I would have discovered Tammy's program sooner! I hope someone who is as skilled, patient and as easy to learn from as she is plans to keep the program going. They are going to have some big shoes to fill!

I have learned so much and plan to take the other courses but I know enough to help my clients and just completed a condo for a client and they were happy. Tammy is super responsive to questions and she also has office hours as well.

I started using SketchUp in 2019 while completing interior design training. I learned as much as I needed to complete my assignments. Afterwards I took classes here and there but I never developed a consistent workflow for creating designs and it was often difficult to figure out some small thing that made my model "not work", so I became disillusioned.
I was hesitant to take Tammy’s course, but I am so excited that I did. In less than one month I have learned so much useful information it is really amazing.
Importantly how to approach my models in an organized way. I am better at using shortcuts as I am working and I am better at troubleshooting. The best part is while I am on the journey if I can't figure it out help is available. YEAH! Sometimes you just need a nudge or reminder so things can click.
I am able to participate in the SketchUp for designers community, including office hours. These sessions are great. You get to see and hear more excellent troubleshooting, methods, you learn about available extensions that can help save time while modeling and so much more.

While I’ve been helping clients with their spaces for a few years now, Ive felt limited in my ability to effectively community my ideas with just 2-D floorplans and mood boards. Being able to go through these courses while I’m using actual client projects has been the perfect setting for accelerated learning. I have historically been intimidated by technical software, but these courses have given me the confidence I need to keep learning and integrate 3D imaging into my workflow. I especially love how Tammy teaches shortcuts and best practices to create good habits. I need lots of repetition to remember things, and the lesson labels on each video make it super easy to go back and practice.

Tammy Cody has created a program for designers to communicate clear intentions to clients with 3D renderings and then easily convert them to construction documents for the contractors that will be bringing your projects to life. I am not a technical person so I know this program is easy to use for anyone. In addition I studied design in college and Tammy's SketchUp instructional videos have been more beneficial to my business than the courses I took at university. After spending several years using Autocad in an A&D firm, I spent a lot of time researching which drafting platform I wanted to invest time and money in learning to support my new business. I am so glad I found Sketchup, but more importantly, that I found Tammy's classes. When drafting software can be extremely overwhelming to start learning, Tammy's lessons are organized in a chronological and easy to follow format that is also fun. Having a drafting platform that illustrates the 3D component to Clients as well as the ability to compile full Construction Drawings has brought immense value to my business. I took the course "Drawing Floor Plans in SketchUp" and found the instructions to be super clear, concise and easy to follow. I appreciated how it was broken up into short segments, so I could go back to specific lessons. I was able to jump right into drawing plans for my interior design job. When I came across a tricky hand drawn architectural plan that was crooked, I reached out to Tammy for guidance and she answered back the very next day, which was so appreciated so I could stay on track with a tight schedule. I started learning Sketchup from Tammy several years ago. Her classes continue to be a very worthwhile investment for me. She is a gifted teacher and is incredibly kind and patient as she answers all my questions. I love that she holds weekly office hour sessions where members can ask questions and learn new tips. I searched high and low for a good online course to help me learn SketchUp as an interior designer and I'm so glad I landed on this one.
The lessons are incredibly practical, short video snippets, so you can sit down and plow through a bunch in one hour if you're grasping it quickly, or if you're like me, you can watch a few seconds, hit pause, and then go practice the exact things she is showing in the video, then unpause the video and keep going.
The best thing about SketchUp for Interior Designers though is that you can email Tammy personally if you have a question about something. I've done this multiple times and continue to be amazed that every single time, I get a helpful, personal response from her addressing whatever question I have.
Someone else I know was interested in learning SketchUp as an interior designer and considered paying for a much more expensive course and I told her she should absolutely do SketchUp for Interior Designers instead!

Sketchup for Interior Designers honestly blew my mind a little bit. Tammy is so thorough, the video modules are very well organized and easy to go back and access. Her voice is very calming and she makes everything so easy to understand. She is often available via email to answer questions or help troubleshoot a specific issue which is a huge help. And the price is so reasonable! I am so grateful to have found her courses. Sketchup is now the only software program I use for modeling.
