Hi, I’m a yoga therapist IAYT through Spanda yoga movement therapy. My focus is on somatic bottom up nervous system regulation and resolving embedded trauma. I would like to do more of your training but it’s just far too expensive for me too Delvin two so I appreciate this brief seminar. What felt most stagnant before today? I don’t believe stagnant would describe anything in the seminar at all. What made you say yes to this workshop? Although being on the East Coast, the webinar is a little bit later for me when I’m kind of mentally done I found it very engaging and I wanted to hear more. I have been reading and watching other things by Gabor mate lots along the line of Polyvagal theory and also vessel and his book like the body keeps the score. I’m looking to find more practical ways to help clients and less theory that I can read in any book I’m hoping that will happen in the next two evenings. What, if anything, shifted for you after Day 1? I don’t know that there was a shift that occurred for me as such, but I did like the body mapping exercise and would like to understand more about the mechanics of how this helps regulate the nervous system.

I am an early education coach. I coach educators. One of the things we work on is supporting them in understanding that children need an adult that is regulated to support them in co-regulation. This week while speaking to an educator who was supporting a child who was really struggling she heard my voice in her mind. It was saying just breath and as she relaxed into her breath and became calmer so did the child. I love your mission and I would definitely recommend that others come and experience the difference it can make in their understanding both from an intellectual lens and from an experiential point of view. I have notice that i have learned to be more present in my body and to listen to the cues and sensations it shares with me. So much rich learning can come from my body! It is my best teacher. I am better able to share about co-regulation when coaching educators.

What made me say yes to this workshop is I’ve been seeing your content on IG for some time now and I signed up once before but didn’t end up taking the course and I kept seeing it and felt like the Universe just keeps showing me the way and I need to listen. I’ve recently been trained in Reiki Level 1 and I’m doing Level 2 in May but I’ve been drawn to learning more about breathwork and Somatic practices. What shifted for me after Day 1 is that what Steven said about focusing on connection instead of on self development and that healing is a byproduct of connection and that we have to give ourselves the right conditions to heal by connecting with our environment, food, relationships. And that connection is going to heal the world 🤯😍. Also the questions about whether I am truly being honest and authentically myself with those I am most closely connected with. Don’t think I am fully but realize now that I need to be. That was a huge shift for me. I also loved how Steven described how Somatic is a bottoms up approach that starts with the foundation of creating a sense of safety in your body / nervous system before you can open the door to the heart (emotions) and finally work with the story in your mind. And I loved how he described that it’s not so much about he release as it is the space that release opens up in the body to allow us to hear the voice of our heart and find clarity. That is my ultimate goal - I don’t feel the clarity I am so craving

Since yesterday's session, I've been in a more clarified state with my goals and experienced a deep calm, clarity, emotional release and forgiveness around my marriage and divorce. What felt most stagnant before today? what felt most stagnant for me has been the general feeling that I’ve been drowning with feeling different to the people that I’m in contact with, had 6 months of feeling stuck in crying and old bad memories. What made you say yes to this workshop? I said YES to the workshop because I’m a very big fan of Gabor Mate, and I have been told that I have complex trauma, also heard that Somatics would be good for me, and I listen to Somatic meditations on You Tube. I have lots of muscle tension that holds me back, I’ve been in and out of counselling for decades ( that is hard to admit) I’m now 73 and still working on not being overwhelmed with tight cramping muscles. What, if anything, shifted for you after Day 1? For me it was a very amazing experience to join in the webinar, and see all the comments of so many others naming grief, sadness, anger etc openly and I feel so much less alone in the world now. My children and grandkids are grown. It has generally boosted my self esteem - I’m not feeling so different any more. Maybe I’m feeling kind of normal. Thank you for everything, for all the sharing, the kindness and for the Replay.

I would classify myself as a highly sensitive person and I felt drawn to this workshop to learn about new ways to release suppressed emotions built up in my body. I am a beginner level practitioner. What felt most stagnant before today was accepting that my body is always so tired. It has been functioning on stress. I was not able to voice my feelings or emotions and I believed that feeling everything and being sensitive was a weakness. But today, during the session, I realized there are many people just like me, and I am not alone. I have wanted to be part of this somatic community for a very long time, but I never got the opportunity. I would love to attend in person someday, hopefully soon. I have always known that my body stores a lot of childhood and adulthood trauma, triggers and issues that I am not even ready to tell or accept myself, let alone share with others. And I know it’s not right, and I can’t live my life like this. I want to live my life. After today’s session, I am no longer afraid to admit to myself that my body needs rest. It needs a hug and it needs to release all the issues that have been stored for so many years. Thank you for this.

I am a massage therapist. As I was lead through today’s process, now 10 years after divorce, I found myself acknowledging the feelings associated with my marriage of fear, pain, disappointment, not being seen, nor understood, unsafe etc. Then when asked what we wanted and needed, for the very first time I pictured my ex husband sincerely apologizing for the pain which was inflicted by his behavior and him holding space and presence in such a way which brought tremendous comfort, healing and loving connection in a way that was felt in my body, nervous system and heart. It was very relieving and freeing and enabling to embody a sense of love toward myself, a comfort and compassion I have subconsciously longed for for a very long time.

Aspiring coach here. I think of myself as an empowerment coach wanting to help people acknowledge, accept, and step into the power of self and after today’s first session I think this training will be a valuable tool. When we talk about the aha moments from just day one- when he dropped using coffee as a crutch, or ibuprofen to numb the pain I felt so called out and have literally never thought about it like that. I have always just popped the pills, or brewed another pot to get me through the moment and day. After today I will be more mindful and present and rethink those coping mechanisms. I also loved the part about joy being the matriarch of all the other feelings- I grew up in an abusive and volatile household and I acknowledge I have a rage inside of me but I don’t accept or embrace it- I do everything I can to turn down the dial on anger and rage, I never considered I was turning the dial down on everything else. Which is funny because I tell people this all the time and apparently I should have been listening to my own advice.

And noticing the energy held in my body , even briefly tapped into how much I have pushed down that is holding me in this state . After the call I just felt a flood of tears to let go . I am familiar with different kinds of breathwork and I have been practicing regularly myself for a couple years, as I've becime a steing believer in the powers of breath to regulate our nervous system and was curious to discover Soma+IQ 's approach as I've heard the name many times. I found the workshop really informative and it resonated with me. The host was very knowledgeable and the training made complete sense. Having studied a lot of self help material, this brings together what is often the missing and essential piece. The body and nervous system are primary elements to healing. I missed the first part of the podcast, but logged in when you were talking about numbness, which describes me. In the exercise, The physical sensation was a feeling of hunger bc I am feeling fear about an upcoming move. The story in my head is that the move is too much for me so I need to run away & dull the ache w food.

I am 81 years and 9 months old. I have multiple chronic conditions. My faith, meditation and breath work for the last 40 years along with 3 dear therapists have gotten me here. All things have been going well until last week I managed to develop tendinitis from injuring my arm. The body mapping exercise made me realize the anxiety is coming from the pain more than aggravation at myself. Also, I believe I have been doing the meditation and breath work by habit and not being present if that makes sense. Today was totally different. Emotions were strong. It was tiring.

I'm new to the community and just did day 2 of the workshop. Jaggers voice is so relaxing and calming both days I ended up crying. Day 1 it was a small release in the beginning and then more focus than anything. Day 2 though, just wow! Just as I thought I was too relaxed to really release what I was feeling come to the surface it exploded out of me. I highly recommend anyone dealing with trauma take this workshop, whether it's for yourself or for clients. I appreciate that there is also a community where you can talk to others. The classroom is next on my list to visit as I wanted to experience the workshop before I dove into the lessons there. Thank you so much for offering this!

I came into the session excited, although I was carrying a day 7pm my time in Ireland., of trying to find helpful workshop support in words. So your starting with a breath practice freed.me up so much and enabled me to shed my day and be really present to the whole of your teachings. SOMETHING AMAZING IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN!!!! I feel like through a series of changes, setbacks, breakdown and stress.. To say it was life changing is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! The clarity and breakthroughs that came AFTER astounded me! This experience made me want to dig in more and find out how I can help others get these breakthroughs! I have a passion to work with women, especially trauma survivors and those coming from dysfunctional backgrounds. I realize THIS is the missing piece! WOW! This is an answer to prayer! I've been working with Fiona Emley doing the EFT Tapping for a few months now. Again, moving past these stuck emotions, allowing them to pass through me and clearing out negative energy has allowed me to bring myself into a deeper alignment with my life's purpose! I would highly recommend this experience to others! It's out of the box, but it works!!! I'm a believer! LOL :) :) :) p.s. Steven Jaggers is so calming and affirming! He leads with his heart and he has inspired me to do the same!

Something amazing happened yesterday! Something amazing is happening now!! Something AMAZING is about to happen!!! WoW!! Never before have I been presented with something that made SOul much sense to me! Seriously! I totally resonated with every single word spoken by both Nadeem and Jaggers! So many fantastic take-aways!..too many to even begin speaking of here. I am a seeker of truth, and in my heart I felt Jaggers was spittin' nothing but facts! I've already read my notes several times as I want all of this on-point information/knowledge to be absorbed by every single cell in my body! I don't want this to be too lengthy atm, (especially since we will be diving deep into day two in a little over a half an hour;) however there is sooo much intriguing insights I feel so called to share.. so I will end with my feels about the last exercise Jaggers and Nadeem demonstrated SO beautifully with the body mapping practice. I couldn't help but to tear up along with them as I witnessed these two powerful men sharing and communicating (connecting;) with each other in such sensitive, nurturing, seen & heard, very ALIVE way! Gosh, the world needs NOW. It is an honor to be a part of this humaning experience we are all choosing to partake in together.. Day two, let's F'n GrOw, babyyyyy!!!

I attended day 1 of the somatic+IQ 3 day workshop. After feeling lost and anxious for several months, I found instant relief through the breathing exercises. I felt like I was reunited with something deep within that I had been missing for so long, it was my higher self. I experienced a sense of calm and peace that felt out of reach before this training. I’m ready for Day 2 and know it will take me closer to reuniting my mind, body, and spirit connection. I am grateful for this training.

As a clinician we often tackle thoughts/interpretations first and the body as a response but with the guidance of this workshop I’m learning the bottom up strategy. Hi.. Thank you for this workshop. It is really resonating with me as I have been trying to calm and regulate my nervous system for what seems like forever. Funny thing is, I was also a body worker for years and a yoga instructor. I know what to do to help calm others but dealing with my own stuff is tougher. Past traumas live in my body. There is no doubt. A recent, serious health scare with my husband has sent anxiety to another level. Breath work and getting out of the mind back into the body has always made sense to me. I love that you are reminding me of Peter Levine’s work- it makes so much sense. I have to move and shake off the adrenaline often. I’m tired and wired… Yesterday as we started the exercise, I felt the nagging tightness in my upper back and neck. That’s a constant for me. The new sensation is tightness in the base of the throat. What I noticed right away was my eyes were closed but tears were streaming. I felt much more calm after and was able to carry that for a while after. So thank you… Yes, I would recommend this workshop and its methods to others.

What felt stagnant before listening to day 1 of this workshop was the “holding on”: to the “safety” of a past marriage, to wanting to know why I cry at most Breathwork sessions, to I’m not enough without someone by my side. So far this workshop has reinforced for me that letting go of the tension in the body, let’s go of the story in my mind and consequently this let’s go of the energy draining emotions. An ahha moment for me was when I connected with the truth that during a Breathwork session I don’t need to know why I’m crying or laughing…all I need to do is surrender and trust that the body knows exactly what to do in my healing journey.
