Hello Thank you for the session today it was incredibly powerful! As always Jaggers delivers! I tend to be stuck in “my head” a lot and doing this workshop helps me to see things a bit clearer. That in itself is a big win for me. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD having previously been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder so now trying to learn to hear my thoughts and stop the stories I have been telling myself all these years. This practice really helps to clear up the noise in my head, and more so learning to listen to my body and feelings. I recommend and share the links for the daily breathwork practice with anyone I think that needs this. I hope to one day do the course to become a Breathwork practitioner to help myself and others Thanks again for helping us to connect and heal ourselves!

Almost a year ago, I walked into my first 3 day workshop with no expectations only a quiet inner knowing that something inside me was ready to change. Saying yes to Soma+IQ was the most life changing decision I have ever made. As a recovering addict, I was deeply disconnected from my body and from myself. I enjoyed the sharing of experiences, the theoretical framework, and hands-on breath work exercises. During the body mapping exercise, I felt a black and greasy mop of black oil sluggishly sliding over my body. The story in my mind was that it is my fear that I hold so tight and show up in the world with a nervous and unsure energy. I want to let it all go and free myself from what I am carrying within me. This is my first time with "Somatic" anything :) I would definitely recommend others experience this workshop. Even though I participated in the full breathing exercise but could not feel the full experience for lack of clarity on the "speed" of our breathing for the first part of the exercise - I noticed lots of people did feel a lot. I had lots of aha! moments during the teaching part of the session. My favorite perhaps: "To heal do not focus on healing, focus on connecting!" wow! I can't wait for tomorrow's exercise!

Today' s2 hours has shed some new light on my spiritual journey as a yoga teacher , meditator , breath work and yogi dancer. It brought my awareness to a profound statement which I will paraphrase. Foe the past 25 years I have always been focused on healing. More and more and after todays session I realize more fully the power that focusing on connection seems to have. Although I thought and felt I was in fact doing this. Today I realized moire fully that I have not been. Hence healing using all of my tools and practicies does not sustain me. Today's introductory practices and information brought me deep insights and tears. Very powerful. I am a fighter, and the complex family trauma I recently left is still looping in me three years later. I have not been able to physically or emotionally have that fight with those others, and have had to do the healing on my own (plus therapists...). Closure from within. But these explanations make me realize why the process is so hard to complete. I would love to hear any more insights on how to release this fight impulse that cannot be fought...the depth of anger/grief is profound and exhausting. I have made much progress by doing the feeling and with using that emotion towards my painting and other forward movements.... but the onion layers keep going....

This experience brought me into a level of connection that was both healing and confronting. Through awareness of physical sensations and emotional presence in my body, I was able to recognize something essential: what I was seeking outwardly was, first, a need to reconnect inwardly. By staying with the body instead of the story, I became aware of needs I am not usually in touch with in daily life, fundamental needs for presence, safety, and self-support. Beneath feelings of loneliness and lack of support, there was a very real need for physical comfort and touch. What was powerful is realizing that even in the absence of external support, it is possible to meet part of that need by staying attuned to the body through awareness, grounding, and self-contact. This shifted the experience of emptiness into something more regulated and contained. At the end of the session, I felt deeply held, calm, safe, and enveloped in a sense of comfort, almost like being back in a womb-like state. The nervous system felt flooded with softness and ease, rather than tension or urgency. This experience helped me understand that self-connection is not an abstract idea, it is physical, embodied, and learnable. I hope to continue practicing this so that feelings of emptiness don’t take over when support is not immediately available. I’m looking forward to day two.

I think it was awesome. I didn't fully know what to expect but it was so informative and the facilitators were awesome. Loved the 2-pair practice at the end modelled and the opportunity to do ours towards the end. So much richness that I'd not heard before in that level of detail and this information feels like it's underrepresented in Psychology, I've been working in this field for 3 years amongst professionals and I don't feel it's being given enough attention. Very drawn towards doing the other training, I have to admit. Gives language to my experiences and yes I would recommend others experience this.

As my awareness deepens while we go deeping into reconnecting our bodies back into our minds, I feel a sensation or a state of importance for this stillness. I'm not sure I know what it feels like to fully be out of fight or flight mode. I've been caught in a constant storm since the womb, a state of fear, shock, lack, hurt, ignored, forgotten then shoved in a corner until I was basically needed. Coming from a big family and being the second oldest all responsabiltiy fell on me. My sister is seven years older than I and was a teenager when the other kids came, she was out of the house a lot. I grew up too fast and too soon, but everything can be used as a poison and as a medicine. I'm choosing to utilize these experience and many others as my medicine. rewriting the story and by doing so I will transmute that energy and use it as fuel! This session is helping to fan my inner flame so I can authentically be that gulding light for others, when their lights become dim. I'm a certified holistic health coach and haven't been able to announce myself to push past my obligations and fears of being seen, and to step into my purpose fully and know I will be caught on the other side. This course is helping me with this. I know understand the concept of us being and becoming one. We are the ocean and together we create the wave (we are the wave). I am signed off with work related stress at the moment for 3 months now. It’s Christmas Eve! I have been up and down and spoken to many different practitioners, therapist, energy healers, used essential oils, tried mind set shifts. The breath work practice has been like nothing else, and has brought me a sense of forgiveness for myself I have not felt before. So I feel really optimism of being able to get out of this spiral, this loop, off this rollercoaster, just by allowing myself to discharge the emotions rather than holding them in my body. I’m looking forward to the deeper practices and doing this again and again as part of my healing journey. I would highly recommend to others!! And may even look at the practitioner course!

Learning some basic nervous system and emotional clearing skills is life changing already. The breath work sessions I have experienced have been more healing than I could have expected. I learnt so much from this workshop. The body mapping exercise i found pretty difficult, it made me realise how disconnected i was from my body, however it's inspired me to check in with my myelf more, which can obly be a good thing. My mind-body connection felt most stagnant before today. I said yes to this workshop to learn more about somatic and breath work. After Day 1, I am looking forward to learning more about how breath work can complement a holistic approach to the psychotherapy. I am very much looking forward to day 2! Be sure to plan for two full hours for each day of the workshop. I was disappointed to miss out on key concepts due to the time constraints of my workday.

I find your teachings so inspirational and easy to take in. They all really land with me, I hear you and feel like I finally get it. For me, being in the body is not at all safe and so I personally have some blocks to this clearing work, but knowing my body has wisdom makes me feel safer. And knowing your truths are landing in me helps me to feel I can overcome it. I would recommend you both to anyone who is interested in trauma/somatic work. Thank you for the work you both do 🙏

I have been on another webinars describing the theory underpinning and practice of breathwork. However i found the webinar by Steven Jaggers to be comprehensive in explaining the link between the breath, mind, body and emotions and its interplay with nervous system regulation. There were so many haha moments and i was so taken with exercises that i feel sure that i will make time to bring them into my practice. Looking forward to Day 2.

Hello Thank you for the session today it was incredibly powerful! As always Jaggers delivers! I tend to be stuck in “my head” a lot and doing this workshop helps me to see things a bit clearer. That in itself is a big win for me. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD having previously been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder so now trying to learn to hear my thoughts and stop the stories I have been telling myself all these years. This practice really helps to clear up the noise in my head, and more so learning to listen to my body and feelings. I recommend and share the links for the daily breathwork practice with anyone I think that needs this. I hope to one day do the course to become a Breathwork practitioner to help myself and others Thanks again for helping us to connect and heal ourselves!

Hi Nadeem, Something I always take away from these session is how much I am not living in the environment to sooths my soul. I refuse to give up on holding my head above water. Almost a year ago, I walked into my first 3 day workshop with no expectations only a quiet inner knowing that something inside me was ready to change.
