I wanted to learn Spanish again for the first time since high school and just started to build my own self-study plan. But I came across the videos on Nate's YouTube channel and saw that he had a Spanish course for people exactly like me. I took a leap of faith and I swear, I felt like I understood more Spanish in one week than the entire month that I had spent trying to figure out everything on my own. It felt like sitting down with my smart friend and listening to him teach me the 80/20 of what I needed to know about Spanish. This course made it easy for a busy person like myself to learn Spanish efficiently while still having fun! I would highly recommend this course—muy bien hecho!

I've never met a gringo with such mind-blowingly good Spanish as Nate. But beyond that, he's a really excellent and patient teacher, which I can say from personal experience!

This amazing guy has helped me with everything from saying my wedding vows in Spanish to my wife 3 years ago, to helping me over the years with hurdles I came across while learning. I asked my wife to help me learn Spanish years ago, she has done an amazing job doing so. But what she couldn’t do is explain why things are said the way they are in Spanish. I would ask her “why do have to say it like that” after asking her something, and she would reply, “idk that’s just the way you say it”. And that’s where Nate comes in and really shines! Hola hola! My name is Stephanie. I’ve been learning Spanish for just under 3 years. About a year into my journey, I felt pretty stuck with my progress…I sounded like Tarzan when I spoke Spanish, had limited vocabulary and felt nervous when trying to strike up conversations with Spanish speakers. I started learning Spanish with Nate about 1.5 years ago and it has really boosted my vocabulary, reading skills and conversational skills! The lessons are packed with tips, audio, flash cards and stories to keep the process fun! To put it all into perspective, I felt confident enough to travel to Mexico City twice and even met Nate and his friends in person!! I was able to speak Spanish with the locals, order food, ask for directions, and just have regular conversations with the people of Mexico City! Along with the academy, Nate’s community is also a great place to ask for help, share experiences, and speak with other learners of all levels of the Spanish language! I can’t recommend him enough!! I am a retired professor. Finding “Spanish with Nate” has been a godsend because I now have the experience and knowledge that learning a second language does not take a “miracle” like many of us single language speakers believe. In his program, Nate provides a series of well-organized, easy to understand, and fun lessons. As a former teacher myself, I appreciate the intellectual learning journey Nate puts us through (not too much information and not too little). I also admire the respect Nate has for his students that we all can learn and master Spanish.

It's interesting how certain people come into your life when least expected, especially while learning a new language! I came across a popular podcast that Nate was featured in with the title: "Entrevista a un Gringo con un Español Casi Perfecto." I was very impressed! I was like, 'Wow, this guy really knows his Spanish, let alone his accent is great!' I thought, 'Why not attempt learning with him?' Surely he could give me some good advice since he was in my position at one point before.' I decided to sign up for his course and was impressed with how useful and professional it was. You could feel his love for the language and the desire he had to teach others. I even decided to sign up for personal tutoring sessions with him. We have made a great team, especially since he knows my strong desire to learn the language. He's enthusiastic and quite patient with me, especially with my ADD brain. There are plenty of resources out there to learn Spanish, but you'll be hard pressed finding someone with as much enthusiasm, friendliness and patience as Nate.
