Seeing those tuition bills from Boston College definitely lit a fire under me. That's a huge reason I got serious about investment banking, i needed a career that could actually help pay this off and yeah that starting salary doesn't hurt. But trying to figure out banking recruiting as a sophomore? Absolute chaos. I was sending emails, trying to network, totally overwhelmed and honestly getting nowhere fast. Felt like I was just spinning my wheels and kinda freaking out not gonna lie. Joining The Banking Club changed everything. Seriously Faizan and the mentors there helped me figure out how to actually navigate the whole recruiting mess. We literally made a game plan. Once I had that structure, it was like okay now I know what to do. I still worked my butt off but it was smart work and not just spinning my wheels. I actually knew how to network effectively. When I was just starting out at NYU, I had no clue how recruiting actually worked. Like I knew you had to network and send emails and stuff but I didn’t realize how much went into it, figuring out who to talk to, what to say, how to not sound awkward in coffee chats, all of it just felt super overwhelming. The Banking Club honestly made it way less scary. The mentors were chill and actually helpful n they’d look over my emails, tell me what to say on calls with MDs, and just made everything feel doable. I could literally drop a message in the chat at 11 PM and someone would get back to me lol I ended up landing an offer at Guggenheim and I don’t think that would’ve happened without the support and advice I got through TBC. Real ones fr!!

The Banking Club offers a solid foundation in finance and the recruiting process. The mentors are knowledgeable, but I felt that the personalized attention could have been a bit more. Overall would recommend to anyone, I was able to get far due to their help.
