I returned to The Brokerage, Inc. in September of 2021, after a 16 year hiatus, for several reasons. First, I wanted the freedom to expand my company, John Withers Insurance Services, L.L.C., into other areas, in addition to United Healthcare products. That is not possible as a captive agent with United Healthcare. Sometimes our clients want other brands, often due to their doctors' wishes and their affiliations or a lower cost. The ability to sell other brands and still be able to sell UHC products, through The Brokerage, made good sense. I was already well aware of the fine reputation that the Brokerage, under the guiding hands of Mike Smith had become. Soon after learning that David Ireland had joined The Brokerage team, I made the decision to rejoin. David introduced me to several of the great ladies and gents that now run and operate The Brokerage. They made the transition easy, and quick, for me. I love the insurance business and it has been good to me. Although I am now 82 years old, I am planning on expanding and continuing my business, with The Brokerage, for a number of more years. There are so many incredible benefits to working with the Brokerage that it is not "easy" to list them all without missing something. However, to try to choose a few favorites, I'll make a short list (in no particular order). * The Brokerage is always happy to help when you are writing business and you need some extra materials like enrollment booklets for instance. To re-order from the insurance company can take weeks. With the brokerage, it might take 2 days. The Brokerage is incredible at helping you out. * If you have a prospect who wants coverage from a company you might not be licensed with, the licensing department is phenomenal at helping you get "express" licensed (my term) with that company. They are also phenomenal at helping you get re-certified if by chance your appointment has expired. * The trainings the Brokerage hosts are amazing also. They are consistently introducing the agents to new companies and providing follow-up trainings for the existing companies. These are just 3. There are many more benefits to The Brokerage.

The wide range of support from beginning training, to building and maintaining my book of business. I am very satisfied in being connected with the Brokerage Besides the staff and support, one of the best things about the brokerage is the Simply Enroll program. It has become my go to enrollment and research system and has been a major help to me. By having most All the insurance carriers that I am contracted with in one convenient system to quote and enroll my clients with. I simply enter in my client’s medications and doctors and instantly see the results and helps simplify the process of matching the right plan for each client’s specific needs. The direct links to each carriers Doctor search tools and pages are also very convenient so I do not have to log in to each carrier portal separately. And having each client’s data file stored for future follow ups and reviews is also time saving, just pull up their file, update meds and docs as needed, and you are ready to go again. Trust me when I say, Simply Enroll and the Brokerage have been a great resource to me and my success!
