Tell us about your passion project - what are you working on? I am a co-founder of our organization, and in my role, I am responsible for managing information for our stakeholders, raising funds through online platforms (Afrus, GlobalGiving, Benevity, YourCause), and cultivating, nurturing, and retaining over 2,000 donors each year. I also handle partnerships with allies, companies, and individuals who share our dream of providing a better present and future for our most vulnerable children. Every year, I coordinate partnerships with around 25 companies across various sectors that are interested in fulfilling their social responsibility through our work with children. Additionally, I work with universities and schools, offering internship and community service opportunities for their students. My passion for serving our clients, donors, benefactors, and volunteers has been key to my success. I strive to ensure they understand the true value of their contributions and where their support is going. I am the keeper of our Foundation’s history, recorded through every report, communication, and thank-you note sent to our individual and corporate donors. How has Kannico helped you overcome challenges or achieve your goals? We are just starting to inform our prospects and potential partners about our projects based on the information adjusted by Kannico. We have had good feddbakcs but I still do not have a metric to report in concrete cases the success of this new way of presenting ourselves. What do you love about our webinars or services? The Kannico team conducted a thorough review and reorganization of our informational materials, significantly enhancing how international donor prospects perceive our impact and commitment to protecting at-risk children. They demonstrated great attention to detail, following a step-by-step approach and diligently requesting feedback to make necessary adjustments. This level of care ensured that our narrative was both compelling and accurate, truly capturing the essence of our mission. We are grateful for Kannico’s thoughtful support in helping us reach new supporters." What would you say to someone considering working with The Kannico Agency? Kannico is a reliable agency, knowledgeable about the social sector and philanthropy that can perfectly guide the fundraising efforts of organizations working to make this world a better place for all vulnerable communities.

The free webinars that Kirsten and her team provide have inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and have made a meaningful difference to my nonprofit. These webinars are relevant and practical and have included board governance, working with AI and grant research and preparation. They offer actionable advice that can be immediately applied. For an 8 year old non profit, having access to these up-to-date webinars is invaluable. The opportunity to ask questions and receive real-time answers enhances the learning experience. This is a supportive, nonjudgmental group who genuinely care about supporting smaller nonprofits. It’s rare to find firms that caters to smaller nonprofits, especially those who don't have the budget to hire additional assistance. These webinars are helping me take this nonprofit to the next level. Working with Kirsten and her team has been and continues to be a wonderful positive experience.

“Working with Kirsten Stevens in The Bahamas several years ago has benefited the organization I founded and myself. It was her diligence and keenness in writing effective grants that inspired me to develop an organization, which is now a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Organization in the United States. Her people’s personality and professionalism has given us at The National L.E.A.D. Institute full confidence in her capabilities in assisting our North Carolina Operations to become a premiere Nonprofit within that State.”

“Working with you has been magical. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to have you leading our search while we navigated a busy season in the midst of COVID-19. If it weren’t for you, I don’t think we would have made any progress….and we definitely wouldn’t have someone as strong as Lisa starting so soon! It’s been a pleasure and I’ll sing your praises to anyone who will listen!”

I have been working with Kirsten Stevens since I first discovered the Kannico Agency and it has been no less than stellar! The resources provided after the informative webinars (FREE), the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a real human, and the personal touch for concern with what you're doing in and with your business is priceless! And so far it has been "priceless"! Non-profits struggle with so much in the beginning and to be able to discuss and toss ideas around with experts in the business is a rare find these days. I highly recommend this group to any business, profit or non, when you're considering consultants or business strategists! They'll help get you to your goals!
