From my sculpture business to my landscape design career, the lessons have offered the ability to convey my thoughts to visual representation. Sketchup Essentials has been a life changer for me! I've been using sketchup for several decades in a fairly haphazard way working in the film industry. Justin's video about working with layers and groups was a game changer. Im only kicking myself for not having found him sooner. He's the friend in the workplace who can answer all my questions whenever i have to dive back into 3D modelling for work-related projects . He's the guy with awesome workarounds and short cuts. He's shown me a ton of new stuff with rendering software that i wouldnt have otherwise bothered to learn. I've now got my son learrning Sketchup using his tutorials to prep for studying architecture at college. Sketchup Essentials is exactly that. Essential. I would be lost without it. My journey from an IT student to a UX designer was fueled by my love for SketchUp, a passion I discovered during my programming class. While I never became a programmer, I found my calling in UX design. A pivotal moment in my career was working on a significant project for an entire building, where I could bring functionality to life. The information and education I have internalized from tutorials from The Sketchup Essentials channel has been huge to me. I continue to look there first when I am looking for a specific plugin/extension to increase my efficiency and want to know how to get it and how to use it. Also all of the Lumion tutorials have been very helpful to me. I use node placement all the time. There have been so many things I have learned that it is difficult to quantify, but I feel a massive level of loyalty to this guy for all he has taught me through his tutorials.

I was about to design a house for myself and was looking for a simple 3D design tool which would allow me to quickly prototype what i want and later use models to discuss with builders. Combination of Sketchup as the tool and SketchupEssentials as the learning path was super simple to start. My skills and requirements are rather basic, yet it served the purpose. I've been watching the you tube channel for the last 2 years and it has really helped with my Sketchup skills. I'm a garden designer and being able to show my clients their designs in 3d has been a huge hit. The channel has not only helped with the 3d drawings but also the 3d rendering side of the job. Justin exhibits all that's done correctly in an online learning experience. Not only is he deeply knowledgeable, but he also has the ability to teach it in a manner that is fully focused on the subject in a concise and unrushed manner. In addition, his personality is warm, without being gushy, and doesn't ever come across as condescending or self-serving; because of this alone, I'd easily put him in the top overall one percent of instructors that can be found online. Add the rest and he's the cream of the crop.
