I couldn’t be happier with the courses and experience I’ve had since joining the Tim Packer Fine Art Academy. I started with some of the prerecorded courses, which I absolutely loved—especially the Colour and Composition course. Tim’s teaching style is so clear and concise, making it easy to follow and absorb the lessons. I learned so much in such a short time! After such a great experience, I decided to join the Hungry Artist Academy, where we have weekly meetings to ask questions about anything art-related and receive art critiques. It has truly been life-changing! The program has inspired me to create more and more, and it has helped me grow so much as an artist. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their skills and take their art to the next level!

I can pick up where I left off, as I can, and work at my desired pace. I have completed a few of Tim's courses and have learned more from them than any other artist's. His instructional technique explains the what & why behind what he is teaching and the online courses give me the flexibility to learn at my own pace. Tim's courses have given me the basic foundational skills I required to improve my art. Because of this, my art work has been in several juried shows and they consistently sell. I think Tim Packer is an amazing teacher and his class is so motivating. It includes so much valuable material, including talking about the business side of art and other practical things. He could charge a lot more and it would be well worth it. The biggest takeaway for me was the realization that success in art really is about skill and there are no shortcuts. Ever since I enrolled in his program I felt inspired again and have noticed a real improvement in my art. Even though I can only attend the weekly critiques once a month because of my schedule, they are still so useful! And I can watch the ones I miss whenever on his website. I'm so glad YouTube recommended his channel to me - that's how I found him!

I'd never heard anyone distinguish between the two "villages" of art - but once he threw that out there, it all made sense to me. This allowed me to focus on hitting the benchmarks that would allow me to be successful in the commercial art world and not waste energy on the other. His no bullsh*t style of teaching is refreshing - and his story is inspiring because it shows that if you put in the work, and it is work - not a given gift of talent, anyone can be successful. He really breaks down the basics of what you need to learn to be successful and in what order you should focus on those things. As someone with a full time job, I found the flexibility of the course especially useful. Overall, I think his course has been worth the money and I recommend it for artists who want to sell their work. I'm still on my journey and taking it slow, however I have been seeing gradual success in my endeavors. Thanks!

I am self a taught artist so I read ,read ,read and watch videos. I find that Tim’s courses are clear easy to understand and basically for me ,freshened up the “whys” and “how” of colour and composition. . He is a very clear teacher . I would totally encourage anyone to use his courses. I paint in a different style completely but all the concepts are transferable to all mediums and style.

This course has been incredibly helpful, providing me with the clarity I needed to take the next steps in my art journey and significantly improving my painting skills. It's hands down the best art course I've ever purchased. Tim Packer is an excellent teacher whose clear and down-to-earth teaching style, combined with practical examples, has made a huge difference for me. His guidance has helped me grow as an artist more than I could have imagined. Learning in my own pace is also must for me since I live In different time zone (Finland).

Tim is an excellent instructor, and I even learned some techniques, etc., that I did not get as an art major in college! His relaxed teaching style is very easy to listen to and follow. I love that I have also been allowed the time to take my time to fit these lessons into my very busy schedule. It is always great to get a good refresher to improve my process. Thank you, TIm!

I have really enjoyed all of Tim Packer's offerings. I have found him to be clear, simple and direct with his explanation and critiques. There are a lot of great teachers out there but one thing that is hard to find is someone who you can have direct contact and feedback from on the group calls. It's been invaluable for me to get that direct feedback from the pro to grow in my art. Too often my in facebook groups in getting input from others on my art has varied from "love your work" to some comments that are useful and others. With Tim, I know I'm getting the expert's view and it helps me expand my view. He's accessible through the group calls, which is a huge bonus compared to many online learning programs.

The course gave me the courage to go for what I really wanted: make a living as an artist. It gave me all the essentials I needed to really focus seriously on my art and my artjourney. Tim explained everything very good and his explanation about colors and composition really made the difference for me.

It’s been thirty years since I took an art class, so Tim’s Packer’s composition course was a fantastic refresher. He delivers a solid, thought out course that reflects his extensive experience minus the hype or misleading promises you get with so many low substance online courses. Additionally, you do not need to be an oil or landscape painter to benefit from Tim’s instruction- the concepts he covers work for all types of art.

Tim is an excellent instructor, I learned so much following Tim’s course, the magic of that spectacular sunshine coming through the trees, I can do it now! His explanation is so detailed & easy to follow! It’s also very convenient to be able to pick up where I left off, or even go back & rewatch a lesson, perfect for a busy grandma. Tim’s technique is totally different from what I learned from other teachers. I’ve loosened up a great deal, I used to paint photo realistic images, & now I can paint more loosely. I highly recommend Tim’s course!

The confidence I have in my strokes has significantly improved. Learning color and composition is like an enhanced connection between my hands and my mind. The course has been helpful in my journey. My skill has improved and keeps improving. My sales and prices have increased and people are willing to pay for my work. I do need to improve on my productivity though. I would recommend this course. It has helped me focus on the right things. It has narrowed down my path and given me direction. Tim Packer is undoubtedly the best instructor I have had. He simplifies things that seemed so complicated. His teachings are open and easy to follow. One thing that stood out to me is his willingness to share knowledge that my previous instructors would hoard. I would receive the most basic knowledge but Tim has given me an in depth look into that which my career needed. Yes, the flexibility was an advantage. I learnt at my own pace and got the chance to watch the videos all over again. It needs discipline though

I love the look of Tim's painting - especially the light through the trees and thought I would do one of his online tutorials. I found it very helpful and i enjoyed his teaching style as well. I found his pace and his explanations suited me, I'd like to meet him in person, I think we would get on just fine, but I live in Australia, so that isn't likely to happen anytime soon.

The information and course layout made sense to me, and was easy to follow. The initial big take away was that a guy this successful in his art career has to have some valuable info to pass along! I would recommend Tim Packer's courses, if you are drawn to his teaching style and content. Tim is a straight-talker and he is concise (which I truly appreciate, because it's easier to stay on track with each important point that he makes). Some instructors have a decidedly "rambling" style which doesn't work so well for me. In his course discussions, this instructor makes it clear that the business of learning to become a skillful artist is both hard work and very enjoyable; he breaks down the "hard work" areas into clear and manageable chunks of information, and actually helps the student with goal-setting. Being self-paced, the course enabled me to get through it all, one section at a time, so I never felt overwhelmed. I recommend Tim's teaching to lots of aspiring artists. His paint-along of the maple trees is what inspired me to take further training in oils, and is a challenge I am still enjoying!

Biggest takeaway for me was advice on supplies and their use...and insight into artist's lifestyle. The course helped me loosen up and experiment more with compositions. Have recommended the course to others as well as his miscellaneous youtube videos. As an instructor he's very helpful. Teaching style is direct and not too rhetoric-intense.
