From Stagnant to Soaring: How ITU Unlocked My Potential
The ITU community is more than just a group; it's a transformative space. Here, I'm surrounded by like-minded individuals who share the "Bilyeu Milieu," a fluency in the course's powerful concepts. This shared language fosters open discussions and a support system that's been instrumental in my growth.
My mindset has undergone a radical shift. The tools I've gained through ITU have empowered me to take control of my life in ways I never imagined possible. It's a sense of liberation that fuels my journey forward.

This was absolutely amazing!!!!!! I need to block off my work calendar to attend these live so I can be part of it all 🎉🎉🎉. I learned so much today that I’m going to go back and watch it again to dissect each part 😁

I’m not sure how I stumbled upon Tom Bilyeu’s YouTube interviews but once I found the first one, I became a bit of an addict around 2022/2023, watching them once or twice per week from around 7pm until way past my bedtime. (This is before joining ITU and learning about rules (like bedtime and wakeup rules).
I’m a wellness enthusiast and I initially was drawn to the many interviews Tom would have with some of the top medical experts on disease prevention and like topics. I’d hear Tom say that he is not that smart, yet as I examined his ability to process so much information about the person he was interviewing including reading their book before the interview, resulting in asking great questions and getting the interviewee to explain their knowledge in depth, making the interview best in class, I wanted to learn more from Tom and I wanted to learn how to process information like a speed demon as well so I joined Impact Theory University.
In addition to being a lover of wellness, I am a person who always strives to improve. I grew up with a stigma that I was not that smart, due to being diagnosed at an early age with a “learning disability”. I’ve allowed this “self limiting belief” and “identity” (taught in ITU) to control me far into adulthood no matter how much or how often I’ve succeeded at something.
While I had learned at an early age after 5 years of improvisation classes and community theater (starting at age 9, urged by my mom to help me break out of extreme shyness) that if I work harder and longer and do the thing I’m scared of, I can overcome a fear and achieve a desired goal, most of my life I’d stop or quit when I hit one of life’s many roadblocks. I didn’t understand “the only belief that matters” concept that Tom teaches in ITU.
I had a habit of blaming the external thing/s and myself for, in my eyes, being less smart or less capable than others (Identity concept taught in ITU). I’d chalk it up to being a slow learner and “that’s just how I am”, among other excuses. Tom also teaches about neuroplasticity in ITU. I now understand that I can learn to learn faster and more deeply and significantly improve my memory because my brain can physically change when I decide to master a desired skill/subject because the brain forms and strengthens connections between neurons, meaning my brain literally has the ability to become smarter, which has opened my eyes to an entirely new playing field. Thank you Tom and ITU team!
I am continuously working on my growth mindset (taught in ITU) in this area and others. I’ve learned that it’s okay to fail and that’s actually part of the learning process. So, now, it’s not a huge shock when I hit a roadblock and I understand that it doesn’t mean it’s time to quit. If you don’t believe an old dog can learn new tricks, you haven’t met me!
I am currently running a successful solo wellness business, happily learning and reading much faster and my memory is top notch (due to what I’ve learned in ITU and from other self development gurus, new “brain” supplements and eating better quality foods thanks to learning from a few of Tom’s YT interviews). Lastly, I am currently reading Lisa Bilyeu’s book, “Radical Confidence” and I’m absolutely loving her stories and lessons about Quest Nutrition, growth and confidence. Thank you Tom, Lisa and ITU team for the amazing work you do. It’s appreciated!
