Did you come away from a podcast episode feeling that you 1.) Learned something new 2.) Were entertained 3.) Looked forward to the next episode - this is often the result of a good guest combined with a compelling host.

I love recording with people who already achieved a goal I'm also aiming at - this would often lead to reading their book and ultimately, it leads to improving how my own organization works.

A standout podcast guest is someone who not only shares valuable insights but also connects with the audience on a personal level. Authenticity and passion are key! On the flip side, a lack of engagement can definitely lead to a snooze-fest.

A great podcast guest shares their expertise in a way that's easy to understand and interesting. They're authentic, prepared, and connect with the audience naturally. Most importantly, they're passionate about the topic discussed and eager to share it with their networks.

For me, an amazing guest brings passion and genuine stories that resonate.  Snoozefests?

When they drone on without engaging the audience.

What makes a great guest is someone who has great stories about their entrepreneurial journey. A guest with an upbeat attitude and willingness to share their learnings and experiences. Having a great story about getting noticed is always helpful.

Every guest I interview I choose. I believe every guest has a great story to tell. It is therefore my job as the host to help them tell their story by guiding them through the interview. A bad guest is therefore only someone I have not done my homework on before asking them to be a guest. However a rude guest is one that is late to the interview, has no mic or headphones (even an old pair of Apple wired headphones is better than nothing) and then chooses to do the interview in a noisy room with tons of background noise, They are all signs they have little respect for me as a host.

This was truly special, a chapter on parentune's journey in the book authored by Jim James. I still remember the chat with Jim James and i was curious about the headline he will come up with. 'Virtual Village for Parents' captured the essence of parentune just right. #parenting #entrepreneurship #book
