I am a sailboat owner and installed a sophisticated LiFePO4 battery system including Victron Multi, high output engine alternators, battery to battery chargers and solar panels and MPPT controllers about 10 years ago. As with everything electronic the improvements in 10 years are amazing so I am planning to replace almost everything except the high output alternators and solar panels. In preparation, I took a very detailed educational program which was excellent but lacked the hands on installation, programming and lessons learned that this program does. The quality and detail of the videos is fantastic and is broken up in manageable pieces that build the knowledge needed. Although the focus here is on a van installs almost everything is applicable to my boat install and this allowed me to better understand system components needed and how to best install and program them for a professional system. My only caution is that marine installs must meet either ISO or AYBC codes which differ slightly in materials used (tinned marine cable and connectors…), grounding rules and a few other minor items. However, I have not found any course that is so thorough on explaining what is needed and how to install with hands on videos. Many thanks for giving me the insight and confidence to plan, order needed materials at discounted prices and take on such a big and expensive project! Bob

Typically, the group is made up of people from beginner to pre-pros who are going into this for a living. What I liked about it is there are a few people building the exact system in the Masterclass, like me, but others who are either adding onto an existing system, swapping from lead-acid to lithium, adding solar, etc. And it’s not just vans either. Ross is the type of person that if he doesn’t know the answer immediately, which is honestly very rare, he’ll find the answer and post it to the group. Or, and this is super rare, if you have a question just for Ross, you can direct-message him via the forum. It really is a unique situation. When I started my build, I had a little ‘more-than-novice’ knowledge about 12V from my stage rally and automotive experience, but had zero knowledge of 120, never mind putting them both together and have everything all work at once. It’s a great feeling. I really couldn’t have done it without Ross and the Insiders Group!

Hi, I'm Mari from Norway. I am in the process of converting my Ford Transit 2019 model from van to camper. In that context, I searched YouTube for installation videos for installing the electrical system in my camper van. First I came across some short, really good video clips from Ross that are open to everyone on YouTube, and when I then discovered that Ross also had an online course where you could get help for the entire process of setting up the electrical system, I was never in doubt that this was my opportunity to be able to learn everything I need. And the course has not disappointed me. I am so impressed with how easily Ross can explain something as difficult as van power. I knew next to nothing about electricity and 12V a few months ago, but now I'm starting to gain enough confidence that I think I should be able to connect the system myself. However I am aware that it will take time to understand everything since I have no prior knowledge. That's why I chose to pay for a year in order not to have any stress on me. Anyways, it is a lot to learn for both beginners and experienced. All the members of the class have different knowledge and everyone is kind and helps each other. Ross’ program is absolutely outstanding. I am a retired Finance guy with zero background on power let alone van power systems. That said, I decided to challenge myself to learn something new and build the van of my dreams exactly the way I wanted it. That is when I came across Ross’ program. Watched a couple of his free videos and I was sold. He gives you literally everything you need to learn and install the system that best fits your needs. His written materials coupled with videos and diagrams are clear and easy to follow, even for a neophyte like me. His parts lists with hyperlinks to add them to your Amazon shopping list is a huge bonus! What you will find is that you are just doing a sequence of projects that are building on your complete system. Done this way, you will find your project is not overwhelming. So, me the neophyte decided to go for the Big Bang “go live. I kid you not, I started flipping switches and watching monitors and devices and that freakin van just came alive. EVERTHING was working! Battery, solar, alternator charger, shore power, 12v and 120v interior power. Air conditioner, ceiling fan/vent. Take your time and follow the program closely and you totally got this. Your van exactly the way you want it built, and if you find down the road (literally) you need to trouble shoot, you got it! Having spent about 20 weeks in the van and covered the country, I can honestly say this is one of the most fulfilling accomplishments I’ve experienced. This is a no regrets decision. Press the buy button already!

Great presentation and information even though I am not building out a van. I used the information to better understand how to add solar to my motorhome, change to a larger lithium battery bank and larger inverter/charger, and incorporate B2B charging. The wire and cable sizing was very helpful information. Some of the presentation was very basic but a refresher is always useful and he corrected some misconceptions I had. Highly recommend.

I started out trying to replace AGM battteries with Lithium and it wasn't until I saw one of Ross's videos that I started to get an idea of what I was in for. After watching the way he taught, the clarity of delivery and information I decided to sign up for the Masterclass. I don't think that material is presented as well anywhere else. Practical and theoretical understanding are both emphasized. I learned a huge amount and feel confident I can update the various parts of my RV electrical system confidently.
