The marketplace for Apps in this space is crowded: Capterra lists 1424 Project Management Apps, 762 Task Management Apps and 514 Productivity Apps (and their list is not even complete). So why did I wall in love with UpBase? Let me explain: UpBase delivers a very good performance with all the features they offer (Tasks, Docs, Files, Messages, Chat and Calendar). BUT what makes UpBase stand out is the attention they bring to the personal productivity aspect. Most people I know have a lot of things to manage, both business and personal. It’s less important to have 1 gazillion of features (hello ClickUp, Notion & co), and more important to have the right features on a base that empowers to DELIVER. With Upbase, I start the day with the „daily planner“ view. Write down some thoughts or goals, maybe add a new task or drag n drop task from my lists to the planner. Maybe even start a pomodoro session. All on one page. For a better perspective switch to weekly or monthly view. Drag n drop tasks from the task list into the cal to schedule them. I love this planning feature, it gives me control and is fast. My Golden Taco: - Ability to drag n drop tasks to calendar (daily/weekly/monthly) to schedule them Other things I like: - Google Docs/Sheets embed works great and is super useful - Bookmark feature (with folder option) allows to access key lists quickly (my finance planning Google sheet is just 1 click away and inside UpBase) - Ability so switch between List and Board/Kanban view for tasks (can be customized on list level) - overall a great UI/UX and a minimalistic approach Biggest Con: - Like with many other PM tools I miss a FAST way do drop quick notes. F.ex. to prewrite this comment I went to Google notes, because it takes just 2 clicks (or 1 shortode) to start typing. In UpBase it takes 4-5 clicks to start typing on a Doc, that’s just too slow. Ideally UpBase would be as fast as Google notes (and eventually let me decide later if I want to keep it as note or turn it into a task or into a Doc). The roadmap looks promising and the company looks legit. Waiting hard on Google Cal sync and Tags, they seem to be coming soon. The founder doesn’t overpromise (see questions), which is a good sign. Feature requests: - The ability to drag n drop tasks to schedule (= my golden Taco for UpBase) could be improved even further. I like how the App TryAmie does this, UpBase team please check them out. - Improved search and sorting for Tasks AND Docs. Docs are tied to lists, but I would love to sort all docs by „latest“ and see all Docs I worked on recently. - Quick Notes (as described above) to allow me drop quick notes, thoughts to todos VERY fast, like with 1 click, also on mobile Enough said. (A bit long, but I think deal deservers 100+ reviews so I am trying to help out a bit) This is an absolute gem. From the almost 200 deals I bought on Appsumo this one feels like the best catch so far.

There's a huge gap in the market for a genuinely useful kanban-style organiser for solos and small teams. I've tried so many and they're all bloated, too simplistic, or very clunky to use. Upbase has a very slick UX and I can see that they're working hard to stick to their product vision rather than just bolting on features without a second thought. I've seen far too many AppSumo products kill themselves in this way, and I feel confident that Upbase is not going to fall into this trap. Now for the critique: the most glaring omission is a reminders function, but I can see that this is on the roadmap. I'd really like to see some goals-management functionality so that my tasks can be focussed towards a higher purpose. Well done to the team! This is definitely a keeper.

Like many reviews here, I've tried every project tool over the year several times over. Upbase is "unbloated", simple, and straightforward, and they are only warming up. My long-time favourite app was Things by Culture Code for power and simplicity. Having docs notes with different views all work together is simple. 🙏🏽PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep it this simple Upbase 🙏🏽 A few bugs and functions are still on the roadmap, but it is worth being early to the game here - who cares about a few bugs this early on? I've brought other kanban boards and project tools here on app sumo over the years, but they were either meant for NASA-level jobs by deadly serious SCRUM teams or were trying to do too many things. My ONE request would be a button on UPbase to say "I'm using this on my own" - one of the best functions on Things by Culture Code. It was ONLY you. I will use this with other people, but I love an area for my stuff and having to sign tasks to me - when there is only me - is boring after a while. Thank you Upbase! I'm looking forward to a long and beautiful life together.

Everything you can imagine about Upbase is an understatement. Tony and his team have created a living tool that is constantly evolving. They keep the focus permanently, providing a thousand and one reasons to make their tool the cornerstone of our work team. There are multiple uses you can give it, whether you need an internal knowledge system, organize your team to generate branded content, organize the tasks of each of the individuals, milestones, even to maintain a fluid conversation constantly. Upbase has become my main daily work tool and today, I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering using it, because from the first moment you will feel a special match, starting with its tremendously neat interface and ending with its unlimited functional capabilities. Without a doubt, it has been and will be the best investment of my life. I feel deeply grateful to Tony and his team, for making it possible, because their dedication, their quick response to any doubt, query or concern... the professionalism they show, guarantee the return of the investment made with total satisfaction guarantee. A big hug to the whole team, Jesus.

I needed a solution to track individual brands and projects, and to invite clients to participate... I couldn't be happier with Upbase overall. -We've tried other tools (Agiled, SuiteDash etc.), but they were all overly complicated for our needs - UpBase simply works, and does its job with a beautiful interface and straightforward workflows. Simple doesn't mean limited, just that it is intuitive and makes setup and operation very logical and sensible. It has all the features we need, and beyond. Some points we really like: -The mobile app tool is such a perfect addition, and make keeping on top of things so much more convenient. -We find the "Files" feature absolutely perfect, and given that access control can be so easily managed per list/project - we are super happy with it. -Inviting guests to participate in a specific project only -The staff/member permissions is easy, and definitely useful -Platform branding is straightforward and provides some authenticity when inviting clients/guests to co-ordinate with us on the platform. -The interface... the interface... the interface! It is one of the most intuitively designed UI we have in our toolbox, and definitely needs to be noted again that this definitely is easy to work with. We had our first brand and project lists setup within 15 minutes and moving forward quickly. It's difficult to find any specific downside to this product, and they continue to develop and fine tune the platform, but there are a few wishlist items that would be great to see as the development continues: - It would be great if this could be white labeled, though for the moment that doesn't specifically create any issues for us. - API or Webhook integrations Definitely worth every penny, and recommend this product to anyone looking for a management platform that is easy to navigate, straightforward to manage, and a more-or-less a value add to your organization from the first day. Worth 5 Tacos for sure!

I like how upbase is very focused. Includes everything you need but does not do too much. It is the best project management tool I've used and I've switched my team to upbase. It's like a clean Asana, Evernote, and Slack in one tool with a lot more features. I can't emphasize to clean and simple interface enough, it just makes the user experience seamless. Another think I like is that the developers respond to feature requests and tell you why they will or will not implement it. The only 2 things I can't wait to have is a more complete google integration, and a better pomodoro system. This will make the app better for personal use. Upbase is going to be one of the best project management tools in the near future and I'm getting another code for my personal use.

Upbase is a very simple and easy to use project manager. This makes it very powerful and quick to implement. Its design is nice and simple. And they are constantly listening to user suggestions and making improvements. Since I've had it there have been several major updates. There are things that can be improved, for example ios app. But it's a matter of time. I am very happy with Upbase.

Upbase has exceeded my expectations. For the price, I figured it was worth a try. It really works well for the way I view data. I tend to see things from above and then want to drill down. The lists do this for me because you put more detail and sub tasks within the tasks and list. Then you can connect your tasks to the list and work form your task list. It is like a task list on steroids with Project Management functionality when you need it. You can use what you need and not get overwhelemved with other features, or at least that is how I feel. I believe it is great for the solo business owner as well as a team.

I think upbase is a promising new option for task and project management. They're rolling out features quickly and the system is easy to use. If you have a small team and don't absolutely require integrations, access to zapier, email to task, etc.... it will be a great option for you. I think all of those features are on their way but full disclosure they're not worked in quite yet. Just be prepared to be patient but it's worth the lifetime one payment investment in exchange for the growing platform. You'll also be able to submit suggestions and feedback for rollouts and see which features are next up!

Very easy to use. If you know Trello, Asana, Monday, Clickup, looks very familiar. They have a App that is great to follow tasks and send message. - They should look up to the bugs sending messagens to group or dm, sometimes one or other message bugs and don't appear to the person that suppose to receive. - We need an update that confirms that the message was received and read. The team and support are very fast to answer, they hear the community, plan and upgrade the system. So much has been added since I get my keys, thank you guys! Keep doing a great work.

If you are looking for a fast and efficient tool to manage your projects, look no further. UPBASE is one of the best out there. It has a lot of great features and most importantly, it doesn't overwhelm the user. Sure, there are tools like Clickup, Asana, and others. But all these tools have one big drawback. They are complex and you have to hire people to just enter data into these tools. Upbase is different. It is simple and effective. It just works the way you want it to in project management.

The app is cleaner and more straightforward than other apps, with a smooth learning curve. I love the multiple-view planner (daily, weekly, monthly). The developers' team has a public product roadmap with a list of all the features to be implemented, and no doubt it will be a clear winner. Regarding customer service... I am EXTREMELY pleased with Upbase - it's very easy to use, with a very low learning curve, but it's still quite powerful, and provides excellent functionality (task and calendar integration - this is the best part for me!; sophisticated task- and document management, and a superb system for personal notes). I might add that the graphic design is extremely attractive, and since I purchased it I have been handling the vast majority of my task management using Upbase. Indeed, I have tried almost every other conceivable task management software, and in fact I have licenses to many such programs, but I gave up on these programs in favor of Upbase. For the sake of accuracy, I should note that certain features are still missing (e.g., email to task, Gcal integration), but when I contacted the developers they informed me that these functions are already on their list. The bottom line: Upbase is a truly outstanding task- and calendaring software, and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

It is very easy to use and navigate, I even invited my team with no direction for how it worked to see if it was easy enough for them to get started without me and they did! They were able to communicate with me quickly WHILE working on the task. No more switching from Clickup to Slack to Google Drive - it is now all in one place.

FAST, well-thought-out, simple to work with. Not so long ago, I purchased another tool for a similar purpose here on AppSumo, and even if at the beginning I liked it, I kept discovering silly bugs that made the whole experience cumbersome. I reported all of them, but it seems like the developing team is not working really actively in the product. That's why I was hesitant to purchase Upbase, but I finally did. Ah, so good I did. I really feel it is the ultimate tool for project management for me. So well-thought-out, so simple to work with, so FAST... I really love it. But not only that, the developers are releasing new features all the time. This same week, I received two emails about new features on the platform. And the good thing: even when they add features, the product doesn't become any slower. I am so happy I found this tool. Love 💚

I use UpBase for three different businesses, and it helps keep me sane. I would love some features that they promised are rolling out soon: sorting tasks by date, adding "default" tasks to lists or more "default" options, and ideally, a way to aggregate tasks and items between multiple workspaces. Even without these ideal features, I still love the program, and I recommend it to everyone I know. It is a bit time consuming to set up the way I like it, but hopefully with the planned new features, it won't be as labor intensive to start up a new project.

Upbase is massively exceeding my expectations. I sometimes purchase deals to put on the shelf just in case they turn out well in the future and know that they might be buggy or clunky in the short term. When I looked at Upbase, I could see it was an Asana/Trello/Basecamp alternative and thought, "good luck with competing with them!" but I purchased it for the future. When I added a new team to my business in December, we decided to give Upbase a try, and I was surprised that 6 of us started to use it easily right away. The quality was already almost ready for the major leagues. I don't think we watched the how-to videos and just started collaborating immediately. It's powerful and intuitive, and we've been using it daily for a couple of months. Fresh features, updates and bug fixes are being added regularly, and the platform has improved in the short time we've used it. I only have one suggestion, when someone replies multiple times to the same thread, there are multiple notifications at the bell at the top. Visiting the thread sometimes does not turn off all the notifications as seen, so I need to go back. That's my only minor gripe. 6 Tacos and a place alongside the likes of Lemlist and Cloudapp!

Upbase is really impressive: It has (almost) everything I need and nothing I don't. Task reminders and Google Calendar integration would be the only useful additions for me. Especially useful for me is the possibility to keep a daily personal diary and that there is the possibility to create a template here. Also, being able to use the markup language I already know from Notion is a big plus. Minimal weakness is the selection of time and date for the tasks - this sometimes runs a bit hacky, especially when I want to change a date. All in all: The most intuitive project management tool I've used so far, and even if the minimalist approach is praised more often, it's still very feature-rich. I also see this as Upbase's greatest strength: Although it's streamlined and intuitive, it has everything I need. For me clearly 5 tacos and next to Quickpage and Meetfox my best purchase so far on APPSUMO. I hope Upbase keeps its lightweight nature as it continues to develop and, most importantly of course, that it can establish itself in the market. It certainly has what it takes.

My team and I have been switching accross different task/project mangement tools : Trello (2 months), clickup (2 Months), Asana (2 months), ticktick (3 months), taskade (6 months). Even tried nifty and basicops for couple of days but none of these project management tools fit our workflow. But Upbase has met my basic needs! and we are about 40 in our team currently using Upbase: - Simple UI and non-overwheliming - Group Chat (channels) and 1:1 Messaging - Tasks can be assigned to multiple list groups (which can have different access) - Tasks can be assigned to multiple assignees - Tasks have activity logs - Task notification is great and easy to read - Task management has the basic shortcut keys I need - Lists (which serves as a folder to tasks) can be secured with specific team members only - Daily journal / Timeblocking / Promodoro - Weekly Scheduling A couple of things that they need to work on though: 1. Chats - No ability to add tasks and/or access tasks from chat. - No threaded chats and have "reply to" feature - Cannot reorganize channel order - Doesn't pop-up as a modal yet (you have to click the chat button to open the chat) , hopefully we can do tasks while chat is still open 2. Tasks - Not able to assign a task directly to a person (outside a list) hoping we can have it - Comment section is sometimes hard to format with bullet points - Filter in Monthly Schedule and My Task View needs improvement. You can only filter one assignee and/or one list. I hope we can enable multiple filters - Desktop notification and mobile notifications needs improvement (sometimes I don't know if I have new notifications) - No global search yet 3. List Access Management - Currently you cannot manage a member's list access in one view. you have to manually check each list to check if a member has access or not. (Although this one will be in Guest management, hoping they can apply it to members first) 4. Doc management - No "all" docs from all tasks

If you're looking for a task management system for a small team - this is the one to get. I'm not affiliated in any way with the company - this is a legit review. We have been looking for a simple to use task management system for years and have purchased several. None have been just the right fit but Upbase has so far surpassed all the others. Pros: - FAST and easy to enter new tasks (no forms with multiple required fields) - Multiple views (group by category - ie Operations / HR / Marketing / ProjectX) - Multiple time views (weekly / monthly - planning vs schedule) - Ability to assign multiple members to a task (very few task management systems have this) - Subtasks (with ability to assign different members to each subtask) - Great custom options for recurring tasks (select by multiple days of the week - ability to NOT select weekends for daily tasks) Cons: - Some minor display refresh issues - Date selection for tasks needs some work

The best PM tool i´ve used. Period. I´ve refunded all PM apps in the past because they are not intuitive. And the ones that are actually intuitive, are too simple and basic. Upbase has a genious UI. Please don´t lose this ever. And in the same time is intricate, has PM tools, personal journal, Team management and comunication, unlimited storage and the UI/UX is amazing. So i don´t have anything to point except give some suggestions: - BOOKMARKS - If i create a bookmark, team members don´t have access to it. It would be good to create BM groups and be able to share certain groups with certain members. - I can only see Gdrive documents if they have "open permission". It would be good to login directly to be able to see restricted content, without leaving upbase dashboard. - Would be good to export content when necessary, specially journal entries. - Do you have a way to backup all our info for emergency situations? Thanks

I've been remiss recently about submitting reviews, but have been really impressed with the speed and quality of the support offered here, as well as with the product itself, clearly worthy of 5 tacos even as a still developing and improving product. I've explored so many PM tools, and this one sits very nicely with me. Everything works simply, I was able to introduce it to a colleague and they got on with it straight away. Still has some way to go in terms of building the added elements to the product, but it has a clear roadmap to continue to improve, but without adding much of the bloat and complications that can lead to confusion. Slowly building up a wishlist of things I'd like to see, but the responses from support have been nothing but encouraging.

Guys please fix & add the notes in the mobile app. It is so very crucial. A user friendly Journal & notes section is really what sets this apart. So please implement , enhance & add it in the mobile. Any ETA? 😞

This app is great! I have been a premium Todoist user for over 5 years and after checking this software I switched immediately. It is still a bit rough on the edges, and seem to be getting stuck at times when loading up tasks but has all the functionality I need and it's organized in a way that I don't have to jump around windows. Btw, I am mainly using it for personal projects/interests. 5 tacos from me!! Thank you

We have moved our team of 35 people from Trello to Asana to Upbase. Completely happy with Upbase, especially the promotion. The best thing is: they listen to customers. They move fast. Of coz it is not fair to compare to other giants. But again, there is always a good side of being small.

Upbase has been an upgrade to my workflow. In my previous process, I was using too many other PM tools (all the popular ones) for myself AND for my clients. It was a hassle to log into all those accounts. It frustrated me. Upbase has made my life so much easier by simplifying and at the same time, combine my favorite functions of all those other PM tools that everyone uses. It helped me streamline my current communication processes with external teams. I am an agency, so my clients were very happy when they got invited into my workspace. The best things about upbase: - UI is simple and intuitive - Incorporates great functions from other platforms - Integrated chat function - They have a clear roadmap The support team is great! Good luck to Upbase team in the future!

I'm really liking this app so far. I purchased it to help my remote team share information easier in an organised way and I think it will definitely work for us. I'd love to see what's coming in the future - is there a roadmap available? Things I'd love to see.. 1. Integrations with make or zapier 2. Similar options under docs to notion, like the ability to add tables or databases 3. More tutorial videos to show how to get the most out of it! 4. More customisation for the schedule page so we can choose to see what's most important to us. A dream product for me would be everything you have plus the ability to manage all my email accounts all in the one app! But I definitely think this is a great deal and I'm super excited to see what comes next 🥳 Thank you, Liz

I was using Asana, Trello, Meistertask, Smarttask, Jira in different scopes of projects. All of platforms have plus and minus reagarding UI, features, speed etc, but UpBase best suites to my small team. Summary: - Clean and minimalistic UI - Concept of all in one that merges more platforms and improve UX on daily basis - Integrated chat into task management app - Project that is going on and having updates and real roadmap development - Didn't have need to contact support at any time except giving suggestions "nice to have" Great perspective for UpBase, really high recommandation. Keep up the good work, buying now additional code! :)

As far as this software is concerned, I have to admit with hindsight that I enjoy it very much and I no longer have to look for other similar programs and mindlessly try and mostly buy them, that is, provided you are constantly logged in: - there seems to be a problem with notifications (I can't get them to work) - I stay with the lightweight version of my project management, as there is no option to create subfolders - I overlook that the mobile app doesn't have widgets - you accept that your suggestions are rejected in advance - so you manage the project according to what someone adds to the software and not according to user feedback. Etc.. Still, I enjoy the app and you can see they are constantly working on it. I hope that the development will continue and the person collecting feedback will realize that others can have good ideas too.

I have tried so many tools and they all felt geared towards teams, or other specific types of businesses. I have an online shop making custom products and I really like using this to manage things I need to do. I have not been using it long but it is promising so far and I like the clean easy to use UI. I can also put a lot of details on a project task so it is easy for me to see all the information I need while working. It does not take long to set up and understand upbase, which is good because if something is hard to use then it can feel counter productive. Of course I do look forward to future updates. Theres a lot of really great yet easy to use features. for the Cons; I do have a few concerns with upbase. -No webhooks/zapier yet, I get it takes time to set things up but being a management and productivity type of tool it seems like that should be a high priority. -The mobile apps calendar sorting shows only the task on the due date so if I am working on something for a few days it doesn't show it as a few days on the mobile app, may sound small but it would be helpful to see that more easily on the list view. My understanding is the mobile app may be new though? -Another thing is the roadmap has no option to input things or vote.. so how will they improve things without having a sorted way to input is a bit unclear to me, I do like to be able to upvote or input requests even if it doesn't make it to production. Conclusion so far; If you are frustrated because you do not understand how to use other task/project management tools, find them too complicated or just not suiting to you, this may be the perfect tool for you. Honestly it is so easy to use, I recommend giving it a try. Happy I found it.

Yes. The app is new. But it is really promising. What am I looking for? -An iPad dedicated app. Tony is involved in his product. Keep up the excellent work. Thanks AppSumo for this awesome deal.

I've been searching for a long time for a project management tool that makes sense to use as a solo person, for both personal and professional work. Every other tool I've tried either has narrow capabilities, or assumes the context of a team so heavily that it becomes awkward to use. Upbase is the first robust and feature rich option I've found that respects my desire to use it without a team, while still offering the power to collaborate with others. It's still in early days and occasionally rough around the edges, but the core functionality is strong and useful, the designer is responsive and active, and it shows a lot of promise.

I've been using Upbase for about 2 weeks and compliment it for its simplicity. It meets all my needs for a project management tool that is easy to learn and start. The Bookmark feature is very useful, but it only shown as private, can not make a bookmark that can be shown to other members. My suggestion is to make the bookmark to be public and sharable between members, so every members can have the same bookmark.

I've been using the tool for a couple weeks now to manage my personal life and workload and I've been really enjoying it. I've previously used Notion, Trello, Teamwork, and various custom Google Sheets to keep track of everything before, I couldn't get into an effective workflow to keep track of documents/tasks/calendar events effectively in one. I found that I either over engineered everything with dependencies or couldn't justify the cost. Those issues are all likely user error, but I really enjoy the quick workflow and limited simple options with Upbase. The platform is simple enough to pick it up with little uplift if you're familiar with other PM platforms IMO.

Upbase is fast and has what I need at the moment. What I really like is the ability to embed Google Drive folders. It makes it very easy for my team to be able to access all the documents inside a folder without having to give access to people inside my company. Upbase is very new, but it has what it takes at the moment to call attention to other tools out there. There is a lot of room for improvement and I believe that the team behing it will make it an amazing tool in the near future. I tried other tools and all of them lack some functionality for my needs, NOT with Upbase. I am very glad I grabbed this deal... Give it a try, you will not regret it!

I bought this a week or so back and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been using it for managing a project, and very much like the KanBan board. Specifically, I like that in task description you can make arbitrarily nested lists that each have their own checkmark. This is surprisingly lacking in many tools and often sends me back to a combination of OmniOutliner and Kanboard for a lot of planning. This app has been doing well at meeting my needs from both of those tools in one place. I think the Docs tab is going to enable me to write the long-form project documents I usually do at the start of a project in this tool, instead of a google doc. If so, it'll replace three tools and keep everything in one place.

I've tried alllll of the project mangement tools (Clickup, Asana, Trello, Notion, etc.) and I really like the simplicity of this one. Pros - Simple and clean - Day planner is amazing - Recurring tasks - Kanban boards that not overly bloated (looking at you, Clickup) - Chat and messages - Bookmark links are easily accessible - Folders to separate lists Cons - Really only one con that is holding me back from moving over completely: reminders. I need to be reminded about tasks and their due dates via email etc. - Oh and once Google calendar can be integrated, it'll be perfect! I purchase a lot on appsumo and this is only one of two apps I have really loved, so it's worth it!

so after testing out upbase quite a lot i feel like i understand the tool now. i think that it is amazing but still is inside its early beta-stages. several things are missing that seem rudimentary to say the least: 1. it is immensely important to be able to copy-paste images into docs, without it it is a windows-text editor solely which doesn't match any standard and need 2. the same thing goes for tables inside docs. in notion my team and i currently create storyboards for our clients and they need to be structured. in notion when you setup a table you then can open each row which makes it very very powerful and flexible in terms of what you are doing with it. 3. While testing i setup a few lists and now there is no way to drag docs from a list into another list which is quite unlucky if you setup stuff and need to rearrange afterwards. having said all of that i believe that it is a very clean, well thought through and good product and that i might switch there once those core functions have been added. but currently i will stick to asana¬ion due to the 3 things mentioned.

We've used many PM-ing tools in the past - Bitrix, ClickUp, Trello etc. - but all felt very complicated and hard to work on for new hires and our ever-evolving team. What we love about this product, as we're currently migrating from ClickUp, is the simplicity of the UI/UX. From the mobile app to the web app, everything is easy to understand even for a non-tech person. Of course, there is a long way until the product would be totally comparable to big names, but for our needs, the features already present fit perfectly. Pros: - Easy to use - Great UI/UX both in the web app, but also in the mobile app - Straight to the point task management - Possibility of having files in folders and nicely organised, with the possibility of linking Google Workspace files and drives - Great and fast support, even in the weekend - thanks, Tony :) Cons: - As any new app, there are some bugs here and there, but the team is very responsive to fix when in need - The notifications aren't always working, especially the push notifications on the mobile app, but they are working on a fix - Lack of permissions for user, guest users and time reporting - they are all under-development, but take in consideration they aren't yet there We've already bought 2 seats and probably buying a few more just to be on the safe space for the future - for the value, it is a no-brainer not to try it. Tl;dr - great product, with great functionalities already, hoping to see it as a household name in the future.

This isn't my first review of a Project Management system. I recently reviewed Project.co which I still believe is great for those that want a project management system that communicates directly with clients. It just really lacks the big picture view. However, for us, Upbase is just an amazing fit. The UI is just great! As a designer, the visual appearance of things really matter, and this really is awesome. It's like ClickUp, but faster and not overwhelming. The notes feature is...well...where have you been all my life? I mean...a notepad on the left and my tasks on the right? This is so simple...and so amazing! Yes, there's things missing, like custom statuses, but new features are coming and as long as they keep the simplicity of this system, I'm finally done searching. This one just fits the way my mind works with project management. Keep it up guys!

I was in the market for a minimalist all-in-one collaborative project management app, ideal for small teams and solo developers, when I stumbled upon Upbase over at Hacker News. Previously I was considering ClickUp, but it's way more than I need. I was so impressed by Upbase's launch features and UI that I purchased the lifetime offer; something I rarely do and a bit of a gamble, but I'm hopeful this app will become one of the best at its niche. The other big thing that attracted me to Upbase was its speed. Page loads and actions occur almost instantly. That said, while the UI and performance thus far is excellent, I have some UX concerns I've provided feedback for through the app that I'm sure will be addressed down the road.

I've been looking for a long time for a good project management system to run smallish design studio / team. Most of the products i know are either too simple (simple lists) or too complex (expects dedicated managers) . Also it's often hard to work around projects of various sizes. Big chunk of the products are structured to work for companies working on single product. Upbase hits great balance. It works on project and project basis. Projects can be as small as you want but it can handle big projects too. And it does it with surprisingly big clarity. Like even with less experienced computer users i have a feeling they would understand their way around immediately. My only issues right now are that you can't invite guests - something that i understand is being worked on and will land soon. And i think it could work a bit better with feedback on images/screenshots. It works OK but i think small changes could make this a lot more powerful. Also i like the simple UI design. Please don't kill it by making Upbase more and more complex as the times goes!

This is well intentioned app that does a good job of providing useful features without bloat. There are a couple quirks and some minor annoyances I ran into, but I could use this for personal needs on a daily basis. Client collaboration with this is a no go for me currently. Pros: - Calendar views (daily, weekly, monthly) - File uploads with folder structures - Messaging (threads / discussions / asynchronous messages) - Chat - Start dates for tasks - Subtasks Cons: - There's no real talk of security other than some fluff in their marketing site and privacy policy. Are we encrypted at rest for files and chat? Any plans to pursue third party audits and certifications? Unlimited storage is great, unless there's no security, then it's pointless - Privacy policy looks like it was copied from another (related?) company. There's at least one mention of another company's name in it, while referring to themselves - Scheduling tasks for the week calendar was confusing to figure out. The help docs and marketing site show screenshots of the week calendar scheduling, but the daily calendar is the default view when you're using the feature. There should be a feature tour in that view - Permissions need some work, but I think they're working on that. Although it's nice to see the options for future permission sets in the UI with a coming soon label. I wouldn't say I could use this with clients or even all team members until this feature is more developed - The date picker for tasks needs a lot of work. It's buggy, especially the quick actions (today, tomorrow) within it. Date ranges are quirky to set up and keyboard shortcuts or an Apply button need to be available. I could only get a due date or a date range set by clicking outside the date picker container, which doesn't feel intuitive at all. It would be nice to be able to set a timezone for specific tasks, along with a default one - No unlimited subtask hierarchy (nested subtasks). This doesn't matter much to me for my use cases, but it might to other Sumolings so I thought I'd mention it - No API and doesn't seem like this is a priority for them at this point - No integrations that I could see, other than Google Drive for embedded docs and files / folders - Lastly, the UI could use a bit of work. I like the simplicity of this app, but the font choices and overall spacing of elements (board view and calendar especially) leaves a lot to desire for me. The app is super functional, but it's not attractive, especially on ultra-wide screens Haven't used the mobile apps yet but will install and give them a go. TLDR; solid, functional app that prioritizes useful features over design and bloat. Can use for personal tasks but not client or team collaboration just yet. The LTD is a good deal for where they're at right now. If they continue developing features and refresh the UI design, this LTD would be a shame to miss out on. Good luck!

I am a premium user of Asana, Trello and Todoist. For my job I have used (and use) several time management and project planning apps. For some time I have been looking for a minimalist, yet powerful application to manage independent projects. I wanted a program that was simple to use, but with which I could plan and accomplish all the different tasks in my life. There are extraordinary tools to do all this, however, most of them are very tedious to use, they make me spend more time planning than helping me to do my tasks. This seems absurd but it is completely true! Since I've been using Upbase, I spend very little time planning and a lot of time doing what's really important, my essential tasks. Upbase helps me to clear my head and focus on work. It gives me a clear outline of what I need to do and I do it, Upbase is great! Believe me, I've used fantastic tools like Things, Omnifocus, Monday, Clickup (my favorite), etc, but Upbase will definitely be my go-to app for my personal and business projects. It is vitaminized minimalism with excellent addons that will make your life easier. It is one of the best productivity tools on the market. However, Upbase is still very new. It's already great, but it has a lot of room for improvement, obviously. It has to improve the mobile app, it has to have keyboard shortcuts to add tasks faster or to switch overviews without having to do it with the mouse, it has to be synchronized with ical and google calendar, have integration with Zapier, I would really like it to have conditionals: "if I put this task in list number 1, assign this task to John". Or "if I assign this task to John, put this task in list 1 and give it due date X". These are examples. Today everyone can make a windows or mac app with google chrome by creating an extension, but it would be nice if Upbase had its own desktop app. Being able to make labels for tasks creates a new world in the organization, since I can create, for example. a list with the tasks of all the projects that have the label "Computer", "Street", "To do in -30 minutes", "Important", "Easy", Much Concentration", etc. Anyway, there are many improvements to be made, but I trust the Upbase team, I'm betting on them. I hope you do too.

Oh, this is another PM tool just like the ones before it. But lo and behold! When I looked into it, I got curious and immediately bought it. UI is great and the upcoming dark mode feature would definitely enhance it a 100% better. ;-) I love that I can easily embed Google files and folders and they're still my own, unlike Typed.do which owns your files under their own account which sucks! I plan to ditch it in favor of Upbase mainly because of that security concern which they don't want to address (bec their whole infrastructure is based on it! - bad design). I'm rooting for Upbase and looking forward to major updates in the coming weeks!! :D

PM Tools is a highly competitive market but the search for an ideal tool for my workflows is always ON! Mostly I perceive PM Tools as "Views": the same tasks/issues presented in a structure which can help me get a better picture. Upbase's Weekly Calendar (which looks like a Kanban Board) took me by surprise, and it's neat. The UX/UI team have done a great job keeping the product so simple in a world where they can easily fill it with so much jargon/data, I hope it doesn't become cluttered. If anyone asks me, though they might be planning to add more features, I already have the features I need. We already use Gitlab Self Hosted solution heavily for Projects, Iterations, Epics and everything else - but it never worked for me as a todo-list/task management app. I have interacted with Tony couple of times, and he has been very responsive and patient with my queries. I am hoping to be part of Upbase's journey.

I have tried so many project/task management tools before, from simple task managers like Todoist, Things, Trello to full fledge PM tools like Asana, ClickUp, Teamwork, but none of these tools work for me. Some of them are too limited, some of the others are too complicated and cumbersome, with too much bells and whistles. Upbase is different. It has a combination of features from the other platforms, but it's very intuitive and easy to use. Especially, its clean and beautiful UI makes me want to open the app every morning. Really enjoy using it. There might be some bugs here and there, which is understandable for an early-stage platform, but the team always proceeds to fix them quickly. I would highly recommend Upbase to anyone looking for an easy-to-use project management tool.
