I was motivated to join Mastermind after seeing it promoted on LinkedIn. I thought I would give it a shot since I recently had a promotion to be a leader within the Customer Success organization at my company and had not been a people leader in the SaaS industry before.
I found the small cohort size very beneficial so that we could have more direct discussions. I tend to hide in the crowd the first few classes of a new series or subject but with the smaller class size you can't hide! It definitely got me out of my shell.
The templates given following the class have been super beneficial to use as part of building out my own team documents and has spurred some great discussion with my own manager about how to manage the team moving forward.
I would recommend this class to anyone looking to gain a little bit more information about how to be a people manager within a CS organization who is looking to upskill to get to that next level!

I'm so pleased I signed up to the 'Thriving as a First Team People Leader' course; Laura and Marija were warm and friendly, providing a beautifully safe space for learning.
I joined as I'm looking to take the next step in my career and re-enter a management role - this course helped reinforce and add structure to things I knew or had forgotten, and taught me new approaches, structures and concepts to help develop my approach to leadership further. I found the 'Developing your Leadership Style' and 'Building Executive Presence' topics particularly helpful, and I now feel better positioned and more confident in making the next career move.
I'd certainly recommend this course to anyone that is soon to or has just started a management role for the first time, or anyone who is earlier in their management career and looking to hone their existing skills and approach.

Wow! This program quickly became the highlight of my week during its six-week run. The content was thoughtfully curated and expertly delivered by two powerhouse leaders at the top of their game in Customer Success. They created an environment where the cohort felt empowered to discover answers together, while also providing practical handouts and templates for each session. Their collaborative approach made the experience both engaging and impactful. I’m hopeful this group will continue to serve as a valuable sounding board long after the cohort wraps up. I couldn’t recommend it more for first-time or early people leaders in the first few years of their CS leadership journey. It’s practical, collaborative, and impactful from week one.
