Seven months ago I had an idea, a coastline, and very little else. No investors, no revenue, no roadmap. Just a deep conviction that the women who have always lived with the sea deserved to be paid professionals, not volunteers, in the conservation of the ocean they depend on. I am a single mother on an average Portuguese salary. I have not quit my job yet. I build Maré Verde in the margins of my life. Early mornings, late evenings, weekends on the rocky shore. Our call this week was 30 minutes that clarified months of thinking. Oliver asked me the question I had been avoiding: how many tourists do I actually need? Not as a rhetorical exercise, as a number, with a plan behind it. If you are building something for nature, and you feel alone on the road. You are not.
