This Bible is absolutely beautiful! It is written and illustrated in a way that will keep readers (actually, of any age) engaged, and I love that the translation is not so childlike that the targeted age group will not want to read it. We bought one before they came out, and after we received it we have purchased 2 more for other family members. We will be purchasing more for a classroom in Kitale, Kenya where my sister is a missionary and is setting up a library for the children in her classes (If only it were translated into Swahili! ). You will not regret this purchase!

This is a stunning Bible with just enough depth for children. I can hardly wait to give it to my daughter so we can read it together. The illustration is stunning and the stories are well written. The only thing I would change about it would be to nix the dust cover and just make the hard cover beautiful like the dust cover.

This bible is awesome! My daughter-law - is going to use it in her CFF class. She is working with First Communion children. My 6 year old Grandson loved the stickers! Thank you for such a lovely children's Bible!

This is a must by if you have children or, even if you just want a visually appealing, linear summary of biblical stories. It's not a replacement for scripture by no means, but it's not trying to be. Great purchase!

It is beautifully written. It doesn't change the Scripture at all. It just presents it in a more relatable way by making it into a story. I found the stories very interesting.

The Story of All Stories was absolutely fantastic in my view! As a teacher, I have been waiting for a book like this! It explains the Old and New Testament bible stories in a very understandable and engaging way. I found the book valuable for myself as an adult. The only suggestion I have is that an explanation for the figurative language in some of the bible stories be revealed. The artwork was great also. I will buy many of these books for the young people in my life!

Absolutely incredible. Does not water down the faith AT ALL. It's deeply theological for a child, and beautifully written/illustrated. The WOF ministry is no doubt guided by the Holy Spirit. Every publication they come out with glorifies God in more and more incredible ways. I cannot wait for my baby girl to recieve this bible and for me to read to her from it.

It is an amazing Children's Bible! I have purchased multiple bibles in the past but thankfully my search for a good Catholic Children's Bible is over. This one is definitely a keeper! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is simple enough for the kids to understand. I love how they end each part with a Saint quote that relates to the passage and a Key connection section. I learned how to see the New Testament hidden in the Old as a teenager but this bible shows how my kids will learn how to make these connections even earlier. I love how each story has a quote from a church father and great typological connections between the Old Testament type and the New Testament fulfillment through Christ! I recommend this beautiful resource to all parents of young children!

This is an ideal Bible for any child including children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The pictures are beautiful, the text clear and easy to read, the format is open and spacious, and the stories are well done. The only negative is the weight of the book which may be too heavy for some children. A lighter weight book would have been preferable. Still, this is a great resource to help our special needs children learn the Bible.

Instead, I’ve been reading one chapter each evening to my children, and we’re all completely engaged. Even my husband, who usually tunes out when we read the Bible has been listening! The storytelling flows so naturally, and the way it connects the Old and New Testaments adds such rich meaning. It’s been sparking wonderful conversations and deep questions from all of us. This story isn’t just for children — it’s something the whole family can grow with and enjoy together.

MUST BUY!!! The Story of All Stories is excellent. It follows the major stories of the Bible in a chronological order - which is so important for children AND adults to grasp the overarching story of salvation. It is presented in chapter or short story format, allowing it to be memorable and easily read nightly before bed and over time. It plants the seeds of typology, connecting Old Testament and New at the end of each story - as well as the seeds of Tradition, sharing small pieces of wisdom and insight from saints, priests, Church Fathers and scholars, old and new. This alone makes it so very catholic - holistic, full, universal: concerning the whole. It does not shy away from including the stories of the Maccabees, Tobit and Esther, and I particularly love that the telling of the New Testament naturally begins as if following the mysteries of the rosary and Mary's pondering of them in her heart. It is both beautifully and naturally told, without being either over-bearing or too simple. I appreciate this most especially as I plan to gift this to my 7-year-old goddaughter who's non-Catholic parents will be able to read it to her - allowing the beauty of the Catholic faith to wash over them all in a gentle, loving way. In fact, reading this with their children may be the first time many parents make it all the way through the Bible, too!!! Perfect! Exactly what I have been looking for!

This is the first present I can’t wait to gift my kids this Christmas season, and will have a prominent place in our family prayer corner. This Bible is designed the way we Catholics know the Bible, as stories. It tells the story of Salvation history in a beautiful way, weaving together the Old Testament with the New and layering in beauty and richness in a way which will be relevant to kids from preschool aged children to older elementary aged kids and even Middle Schoolers. It’s an immense treasure for all our families! ❤️

We are loving this Bible so far. The writing is fantastic. It is so understandable and I love the little notes in the stories that help kids to realize not everything in the Bible is an example of good things or how we are to behave, but rather that it is about showing God's never ending love even though people messed up. For example Cain and Able, the stories points out that Cain did a very bad thing when he killed his little brother, but that God still loved him and took care of him anyway. I'm reading this Bible to my 5 year old and she loves it. She keeps asking me to read more every time we read it. I also love how it points out how the OT stories are prefiguring Jesus. Excellent job I have recommend it to several of my friends already.

This book has opened up opportunities for me and my wife to share Gods message in a fun and exciting way with our children and young relatives, while also being extremely fruitful to our own spiritual journey. It’s a 10/10 and I highly recommend it!

Far from just a picture book of Bible stories, this is a gift your entire family can cherish for years to come. Tough enough to stand up to daily reading by little hands and lovely enough to entice kids of all ages, this treasure will have a major impact on anyone who reads it.

We bought this for our first grand baby who is currently only 7 months old. Although it will be years before he is ready to be read to from this, we wanted to have a copy for his future. Remembering how much we loved reading books our own grandparents kept on hand at their houses (Little House on the Prairie, Guinness World Records, etc.), we hope this one will be a delight for our sweet lil' fellow while teaching him about God.

I really like this book. Unlike some other Bible story books, this one connects each story to the others. The language is accessible for children and flows well when reading it aloud. The Key Points and Connections give parents ideas for how to help their children understand the Faith more deeply. Another triumph for Word on Fire! Thank you, and keep it up!

The illustrations are captivating to my small children. Visuals are very important to my family. We just started with the introduction and I am very impressed so far. The quality is fabulous as I have come to expect from Word on Fire books. We look forward to diving into the stories more deeply throughout the year.

We bought this for our first grand baby who is currently only 7 months old. Although it will be years before he is ready to be read to from this, we wanted to have a copy for his future. Remembering how much we loved reading books our own grandparents kept on hand at their houses (Little House on the Prairie, Guinness World Records, etc.), we hope this one will be a delight for our sweet lil' fellow while teaching him about God.

i enjoyed the story telling aspect to introduce children to the bible. It would be great if one could connect stories of the old testament to that of the new testament to provide a continuity of God's plan to salvation

The illustrations are captivating to my small children. Visuals are very important to my family. We just started with the introduction and I am very impressed so far. The quality is fabulous as I have come to expect from Word on Fire books. We look forward to diving into the stories more deeply throughout the year.

I have been waiting for this book to come out for ages. I love Chapman’s writing. What struck me about this book is the sections highlighted at the end of each story. The stories also read very well and are engaging. My daughters love the illustrations

This Bible is absolutely beautiful! It is written and illustrated in a way that will keep readers (actually, of any age) engaged, and I love that the translation is not so childlike that the targeted age group will not want to read it. We bought one before they came out, and after we received it we have purchased 2 more for other family members. We will be purchasing more for a classroom in Kitale, Kenya where my sister is a missionary and is setting up a library for the children in her classes (If only it were translated into Swahili! ). You will not regret this purchase!

This is a stunning Bible with just enough depth for children. I can hardly wait to give it to my daughter so we can read it together. The illustration is stunning and the stories are well written. The only thing I would change about it would be to nix the dust cover and just make the hard cover beautiful like the dust cover.

This is a must by if you have children or, even if you just want a visually appealing, linear summary of biblical stories. It's not a replacement for scripture by no means, but it's not trying to be. Perfect! Exactly what I have been looking for!

This is the first present I can’t wait to gift my kids this Christmas season, and will have a prominent place in our family prayer corner. This Bible is designed the way we Catholics know the Bible, as stories. It tells the story of Salvation history in a beautiful way, weaving together the Old Testament with the New and layering in beauty and richness in a way which will be relevant to kids from preschool aged children to older elementary aged kids and even Middle Schoolers. It’s an immense treasure for all our families! ❤️

We are loving this Bible so far. The writing is fantastic. It is so understandable and I love the little notes in the stories that help kids to realize not everything in the Bible is an example of good things or how we are to behave, but rather that it is about showing God's never ending love even though people messed up. For example Cain and Able, the stories points out that Cain did a very bad thing when he killed his little brother, but that God still loved him and took care of him anyway. I'm reading this Bible to my 5 year old and she loves it. She keeps asking me to read more every time we read it. I also love how it points out how the OT stories are prefiguring Jesus. Excellent job I have recommend it to several of my friends already.

The Story of All Stories was absolutely fantastic in my view! As a teacher, I have been waiting for a book like this! It explains the Old and New Testament bible stories in a very understandable and engaging way. I found the book valuable for myself as an adult. The only suggestion I have is that an explanation for the figurative language in some of the bible stories be revealed. The artwork was great also. I will buy many of these books for the young people in my life!

Best children bible around

Absolutely incredible. Does not water down the faith AT ALL. It's deeply theological for a child, and beautifully written/illustrated. The WOF ministry is no doubt guided by the Holy Spirit. Every publication they come out with glorifies God in more and more incredible ways. I cannot wait for my baby girl to recieve this bible and for me to read to her from it.

It is an amazing Children's Bible! I have purchased multiple bibles in the past but thankfully my search for a good Catholic Children's Bible is over. This one is definitely a keeper! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is simple enough for the kids to understand. I love how they end each part with a Saint quote that relates to the passage and a Key connection section. I learned how to see the New Testament hidden in the Old as a teenager but this bible shows how my kids will learn how to make these connections even earlier. Please buy this bible, you won't regret it. It really is beautiful 💕

Beautifully illustrated account of salvation history! This text has been the backbone of our children’s catechesis so far this school year! I love how each story has a quote from a church father and great typological connections between the Old Testament type and the New Testament fulfillment through Christ! I recommend this beautiful resource to all parents of young children!

This is an ideal Bible for any child including children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The pictures are beautiful, the text clear and easy to read, the format is open and spacious, and the stories are well done. The only negative is the weight of the book which may be too heavy for some children. A lighter weight book would have been preferable. Still, this is a great resource to help our special needs children learn the Bible.

I absolutely love this book — calling it the best children’s Bible doesn’t even do it justice! It’s so beautifully written that I’ve found myself wanting to read it cover to cover like a novel. Instead, I’ve been reading one chapter each evening to my children, and we’re all completely engaged. Even my husband, who usually tunes out when we read the Bible has been listening! The storytelling flows so naturally, and the way it connects the Old and New Testaments adds such rich meaning. It’s been sparking wonderful conversations and deep questions from all of us. This story isn’t just for children — it’s something the whole family can grow with and enjoy together.

MUST BUY!!! The Story of All Stories is excellent. It follows the major stories of the Bible in a chronological order - which is so important for children AND adults to grasp the overarching story of salvation. It is presented in chapter or short story format, allowing it to be memorable and easily read nightly before bed and over time. It plants the seeds of typology, connecting Old Testament and New at the end of each story - as well as the seeds of Tradition, sharing small pieces of wisdom and insight from saints, priests, Church Fathers and scholars, old and new. This alone makes it so very catholic - holistic, full, universal: concerning the whole. It does not shy away from including the stories of the Maccabees, Tobit and Esther, and I particularly love that the telling of the New Testament naturally begins as if following the mysteries of the rosary and Mary's pondering of them in her heart. It is both beautifully and naturally told, without being either over-bearing or too simple. I appreciate this most especially as I plan to gift this to my 7-year-old goddaughter who's non-Catholic parents will be able to read it to her - allowing the beauty of the Catholic faith to wash over them all in a gentle, loving way. In fact, reading this with their children may be the first time many parents make it all the way through the Bible, too!!! The book itself is both substantially weighty - with a hard cover and thick crisp pages (to withstand many readings with young readers!), which subtly points toward its special importance in a child's library - and yet it is also quite visually appealing and beautiful: the illustrations on every page are balanced between simplicity and tastefulness, and are full of rich, warm colors - even the outer edges of every page are a distinctive vibrant color, echoing how an adult's Bible pages are edged in gold leaf. Every detail in the making of this story Bible has clearly been meticulously considered. All in all, The Story of All Stories is a most precious and special book. What a gift!
