I am a grandmother and hope to share this beautiful Bible story book with my grandchildren when I have them here with me. In the meantime I myself, am finding the book captivating and am reading it cover to cover. I love the illustrations and the commentary at the end of each chapter. I love the way in which each story points to Jesus in a way that children can understand.

My favorite thing about The Story of All Stories is EVERYTHING! When it arrived, I couldn’t wait to start reading it. I don’t have children, so I purchased the book for myself. My favorite genre of literature is picture books, and this is the Picture Book of All Picture Books! I like the order of the book; it tells the story of God’s love for us. The Key Points and Key Connections created some aha moments for me that I hadn’t considered in my 63 years! Since the book arrived, I have told Catholic and non-Catholic friends, family, and even total strangers about it. I ask if they are looking for a children’s Bible and tell them that this is the one to buy! The quality of the materials used in the printing of the book is in line with what I’ve come to expect from Word on Fire. I do have a few suggestions: The age range should be 7-107! Can you create a smaller board book version for the 0-5 age range? How about a rosary book for young readers with pictures and meditations from this Story? Thank you for creating and publishing this quality volume. I’ve already ordered three more for my fallen-away and unbaptized family members!
Stephanie Downing
The book is beautiful and the stories are so accessible and digestible for kids. I love the key point and key connection at the end of each little chapter. It really helps break down the significance of each story and I am learning right along with my kids. My 9 and 6 year olds and I are reading one story each night and it has sparked some great questions and conversations. I am so glad I purchased this and would recommend to any family. It would make a great first communion gift!

I love the illustrations and the way the stories are told: using easy to understand and honest language. It also is easy to read like a chapter book. I gave copies to nieces and nephews but want my own copy now!

My kids are grown so I bought this in anticipation of grandkids...but I'm reading it and really enjoying it. The text is simple to read/understand for young people or new converts. The text includes the main stories in the Bible. There is no material included in the book that is not appropriate for young readers. The art work is very appropriate.

The book is absolutely beautifully made and written in a way that keeps kids of all ages engaged. I read it to my kids who range from 1.5 years old to 12 and each of them had a little nugget of information that they were able to learn from the text. I love how it ties the Old Testament to the New Testament. My 12 year olds mind was blown and we’ve only read the 1st two stories and he said, “That all makes so much sense!” They were very eager to keep reading more but we had to somewhere to be or else I’m sure we would have been there for quite some more time reading. Very well written, beautiful illustrations and a priceless history lesson all Catholics (not only children) need to learn! Can’t recommend this enough! If you’re on the fence about it just jump off and go for it! You won’t regret it!

My son and granddaughter are reading a story every night. So far the one about Ruth is her favorite. They love the book
Lindsey
This book is truly exceptional! The highest praise I can offer is that it has completely captivated my children, who are now reading it independently—a powerful testament to its engaging content. As a parent, I particularly appreciate the meaningful and clever way it highlights the connections between the Old and New Testaments. I'm eagerly anticipating the moment they finish so I can finally read it myself! I will certainly be purchasing additional copies so that each child has their own, plus several more to keep on hand for gifting.
Mariah Crawford
The book is well made. A plus for many hands. This is a real treasure for my 12 grandchildren. Easy for many ages to understand the Bible stories and the illustrations are beautiful.
Sallie Forrester
The illustrations are beautiful! It seems that great attention went into curating the stories and for accuracy... I haven't read all of it, as it is a new purchase. I got this book to see if it would be appropriate for some adults with disabilities.
Sue Smith
I teach 5/6th grades religious education class and the book has been very helpful. Of course I cannot purchase a book for each student so they need to listen and look at the fine art work. The writing style is very good and well suited for this age group. I like the connections - typology- and key points. The book itself is very well made with thicker paper and quality binding.
Jeanne Wezner
I bought 5 for all my grandchildren. I am going to buy many more! I teach Faith Formation to children K - 7, and I also help with OICA, these books are fantastic for all ages. I believe we don’t have to make our Faith complicated. This explains why we believe what we believe, and how this belief has been around for thousands of years. I love the key quotes and most of all I think the key connections help bring the whole Bible together in an easy to read and understand format!
Kallan S Parsley
So glad I bought this for my 13 year old I have even learned from it Must get for Christmas

This is a beautiful book. It gives the whole picture of the Bible in an easy to understand and follow format. The illustrations are stunning, and the quality of paper and binding is excellent.

I started reading "The Story of All Stories" to to my six and four and a half year old daughters the day our copies arrived. They were so excited to write their names in the front of their books, and they think the ribbon to keep our place is very special. They love the illustrations, as do I, and the questions that they ask are pretty incredible. This incredible book is going to be treasured by my daughters for many years to come, and I pray they will keep it always so they can read it to their children each night before bed! Thank you for this beautiful, beautiful gift to catholic families!!!
Anne Marie Mullin
I think that this is the best book that Word on Fire has published! It is so beautifully written and the illustrations are the icing on the cake. I love the Key Points and Key Connections. They tie everything together. I find myself losing track of time when I read it. Well done!!!
Joan H.
I loved that the chapters were short, yet each one painted a memorable picture of important happenings throughout history. The names of the people being written about were familiar, but the short stories helped me hold onto the significance of each person's contribution to salvation. The "Key points, quotes, and connections" were so helpful in understanding how the Old Testament stories were leading up to Jesus in the New Testament. Perfect reading for children aged 6-13, but also a great way for older people to hold onto a concise and accurate review of the progression of events in the Bible.
Rebecca
I was captivated right away by all the gorgeous illustrations throughout this beautiful book! My kids will receive it for Christmas this year and I cannot wait for them to start reading it together. I think it will be perfect for my 9 and 11 year old.
Gail Finke
The art in this book is spectacular, and the text is comprehensive and informative. It's a little lacking in drama--the "story" in "story Bible" is sometimes lacking. Because of all the other things the author is juggling, it's sometimes more like a textbook than the story Bibles parents may be used to--but it's so far above all other books of its kind that I give it full marks. It should be on every Catholic child's bookshelf!
Kay
The favorite aspect of “The Story of All Stories “ is difficult to select. All ages appreciate how it is written in story form. It is lovely to read and listen to out loud. The Key Quotes and Key Connections are invaluable to bring to life the connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament. The illustrations are beautiful and draw one into the story. Thankful hearts!

An heirloom quality Bible. Beautiful!
This Bible is absolutely beautiful! It is written and illustrated in a way that will keep readers (actually, of any age) engaged, and I love that the translation is not so childlike that the targeted age group will not want to read it. We bought one before they came out, and after we received it we have purchased 2 more for other family members. We will be purchasing more for a classroom in Kitale, Kenya where my sister is a missionary and is setting up a library for the children in her classes (If only it were translated into Swahili! ). You will not regret this purchase!

Beautiful Children's Bible
This is a stunning Bible with just enough depth for children. I can hardly wait to give it to my daughter so we can read it together. The illustration is stunning and the stories are well written. The only thing I would change about it would be to nix the dust cover and just make the hard cover beautiful like the dust cover.

Story of All Stories
This bible is awesome! My daughter-law - is going to use it in her CFF class. She is working with First Communion children. My 6 year old Grandson loved the stickers! Thank you for such a lovely children's Bible!

Stunning and beautifully told
My 10-year-old son loves this story Bible! Since Sunday, he has specifically asked me to read it to him every night, over all his other books on his shelf. We have an extensive home library of children's books, of which I am very selective. The Story of All Stories is beautifully illustrated and artistically told. I love the inclusion of quotes from Church fathers and saints; and the way it connects the Old Testament with the New Testament in each key point section. As a sponsor, I have already recommended The Story of All Stories, to two other Moms that are candidates in OCIA. They were excited to order their own copy.

I have been waiting for this book to come out for ages. I love Chapman’s writing. What struck me about this book is the sections highlighted at the end of each story. The stories also read very well and are engaging. My daughters love the illustrations

A BIBLE FOR ALL, (NOT JUST KIDS)
It is beautifully written. It doesn't change the Scripture at all. It just presents it in a more relatable way by making it into a story. I found the stories very interesting.

The best Bible Story book!
Wonderful work!! I purchased 7 copies to give to nieces’ and nephews’ families. And then I had to get one for myself to use with my religious Ed students.

A must read for Catholics young and old.

Such beautiful story-telling and engaging illustrations. My 6 year old niece loves picking a few ‘chapters’ each day. You have brought the Bible to a new generation of children in an incredible way. Bravo Emily Stimpson Chapman.

Art in every page
Beautifully illustrated. My girls actually want me to read to them and they sit close so they can see the wonderful art. The way the stories of the Bible progress, in an easy-to-understand way, makes this book a page-turner. This is a must by if you have children or, even if you just want a visually appealing, linear summary of biblical stories. It's not a replacement for scripture by no means, but it's not trying to be. Great purchase!

Beautifully Written and Perfect for Children
This children’s Bible is beautifully written and a joy to read aloud at bedtime. It’s also simple enough for my 10-year-old son to read and understand on his own. The illustrations are stunning—each page is filled with vibrant, detailed artwork that truly brings the stories to life. I appreciate that the language is accessible for children yet still preserves the depth and truth of God’s Word. Each section ends with a thoughtful reflection and insights from the Church Fathers, adding meaningful context and connection. I’m truly happy with this Bible, and my children love it too.

Best Young Person's Bible I Have Seen
The Story of All Stories was absolutely fantastic in my view! As a teacher, I have been waiting for a book like this! It explains the Old and New Testament bible stories in a very understandable and engaging way. I found the book valuable for myself as an adult. The only suggestion I have is that an explanation for the figurative language in some of the bible stories be revealed. The artwork was great also. I will buy many of these books for the young people in my life!

Absolutely incredible. Does not water down the faith AT ALL. It's deeply theological for a child, and beautifully written/illustrated. The WOF ministry is no doubt guided by the Holy Spirit. Every publication they come out with glorifies God in more and more incredible ways. I cannot wait for my baby girl to recieve this bible and for me to read to her from it.

The story of Salvation History brought to life!
Beautifully illustrated account of salvation history! This text has been the backbone of our children’s catechesis so far this school year! I love how each story has a quote from a church father and great typological connections between the Old Testament type and the New Testament fulfillment through Christ! I recommend this beautiful resource to all parents of young children!

Ten Stars!
Congratulations to Emily Stimpson Chapman (Author), Diana Renzina (Illustrator), and the entire team at Word on Fire Votive for blessing families with this beautiful new book, "The Story of All Stories". Far from just a picture book of Bible stories, this is a gift your entire family can cherish for years to come. Tough enough to stand up to daily reading by little hands and lovely enough to entice kids of all ages, this treasure will have a major impact on anyone who reads it.
Elizabeth
So well done
This story bible is fantastic! I have a masters in theology and I just love how accessibility for kids doesn’t sacrifice depth. I love how the thread of Gods love story for us is woven throughout and the illustrations are masterful. Well done Emily Stimpson Chapman and word on fire!

A great resource
This is an ideal Bible for any child including children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The pictures are beautiful, the text clear and easy to read, the format is open and spacious, and the stories are well done. The only negative is the weight of the book which may be too heavy for some children. A lighter weight book would have been preferable. Still, this is a great resource to help our special needs children learn the Bible.

It is an amazing Children's Bible! I have purchased multiple bibles in the past but thankfully my search for a good Catholic Children's Bible is over. This one is definitely a keeper! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is simple enough for the kids to understand. I love how they end each part with a Saint quote that relates to the passage and a Key connection section. I learned how to see the New Testament hidden in the Old as a teenager but this bible shows how my kids will learn how to make these connections even earlier. Please buy this bible, you won't regret it. It really is beautiful 💕

I absolutely love this book — calling it the best children’s Bible doesn’t even do it justice! It’s so beautifully written that I’ve found myself wanting to read it cover to cover like a novel. Instead, I’ve been reading one chapter each evening to my children, and we’re all completely engaged. Even my husband, who usually tunes out when we read the Bible has been listening! The storytelling flows so naturally, and the way it connects the Old and New Testaments adds such rich meaning. It’s been sparking wonderful conversations and deep questions from all of us. This story isn’t just for children — it’s something the whole family can grow with and enjoy together.

MUST BUY!!! The Story of All Stories is excellent. It follows the major stories of the Bible in a chronological order - which is so important for children AND adults to grasp the overarching story of salvation. It is presented in chapter or short story format, allowing it to be memorable and easily read nightly before bed and over time. It plants the seeds of typology, connecting Old Testament and New at the end of each story - as well as the seeds of Tradition, sharing small pieces of wisdom and insight from saints, priests, Church Fathers and scholars, old and new. This alone makes it so very catholic - holistic, full, universal: concerning the whole. It does not shy away from including the stories of the Maccabees, Tobit and Esther, and I particularly love that the telling of the New Testament naturally begins as if following the mysteries of the rosary and Mary's pondering of them in her heart. It is both beautifully and naturally told, without being either over-bearing or too simple. I appreciate this most especially as I plan to gift this to my 7-year-old goddaughter who's non-Catholic parents will be able to read it to her - allowing the beauty of the Catholic faith to wash over them all in a gentle, loving way. In fact, reading this with their children may be the first time many parents make it all the way through the Bible, too!!! The book itself is both substantially weighty - with a hard cover and thick crisp pages (to withstand many readings with young readers!), which subtly points toward its special importance in a child's library - and yet it is also quite visually appealing and beautiful: the illustrations on every page are balanced between simplicity and tastefulness, and are full of rich, warm colors - even the outer edges of every page are a distinctive vibrant color, echoing how an adult's Bible pages are edged in gold leaf. Every detail in the making of this story Bible has clearly been meticulously considered. All in all, The Story of All Stories is a most precious and special book. What a gift! Every family should have at least one. Thank you!

The most important work for Catholic children and families that has been released in decades—maybe centuries. The Story of All Stories has artwork that looks like stained glass icons—windows into the eternal. . . A million bazillion 5 stars from me. A must, must have for every Catholic home. It doesn’t matter how old or young your children are - you need this book.

We are loving this Bible so far. The writing is fantastic. It is so understandable and I love the little notes in the stories that help kids to realize not everything in the Bible is an example of good things or how we are to behave, but rather that it is about showing God's never ending love even though people messed up. For example Cain and Able, the stories points out that Cain did a very bad thing when he killed his little brother, but that God still loved him and took care of him anyway. I'm reading this Bible to my 5 year old and she loves it. She keeps asking me to read more every time we read it. I also love how it points out how the OT stories are prefiguring Jesus. Excellent job I have recommend it to several of my friends already.

This is the first present I can’t wait to gift my kids this Christmas season, and will have a prominent place in our family prayer corner. This Bible is designed the way we Catholics know the Bible, as stories. It tells the story of Salvation history in a beautiful way, weaving together the Old Testament with the New and layering in beauty and richness in a way which will be relevant to kids from preschool aged children to older elementary aged kids and even Middle Schoolers. It’s an immense treasure for all our families! ❤️

This book has opened up opportunities for me and my wife to share Gods message in a fun and exciting way with our children and young relatives, while also being extremely fruitful to our own spiritual journey. It’s a 10/10 and I highly recommend it!

We bought this for our first grand baby who is currently only 7 months old. Although it will be years before he is ready to be read to from this, we wanted to have a copy for his future. Remembering how much we loved reading books our own grandparents kept on hand at their houses (Little House on the Prairie, Guinness World Records, etc.), we hope this one will be a delight for our sweet lil' fellow while teaching him about God.
Elizabeth Robinson
I really like this book. Unlike some other Bible story books, this one connects each story to the others. The language is accessible for children and flows well when reading it aloud. The Key Points and Connections give parents ideas for how to help their children understand the Faith more deeply. Another triumph for Word on Fire! Thank you, and keep it up!

Thank you for this gift. What I have read I’ve enjoyed. I’m planning on sharing with my grandchildren. I feel it is a good level for younger children. I really like all the Key elements. They remind me of the elements in my Word on Fire Bibles. They give the story’s so much more in helping me understand. It is a beautiful book. Great quality just like my Bibles. Very impressive for a book meant for young readers. It is something that will really hold up over time. The Bible is a forever gift. Thank you again for this wonderful gift. I will enjoy it.

Jenny
I love the illustrations and the way the stories are told: using easy to understand and honest language. It also is easy to read like a chapter book. I gave copies to nieces and nephews but want my own copy now!

My kids are grown so I bought this in anticipation of grandkids...but I'm reading it and really enjoying it. It's lending context to the biblical stories as well as distillations of main points that I find engaging and helpful. I'm recommending it when I can to younger moms who have kiddos in the 7-13ish age group.

Our new favorite story Bible!

I enjoyed this book. It is something for adults to read too. The author did an excellent job of explaining the Bible stories in simple terms so anyone can understand them. One of the best books I read recently.

Wonderful layout, stories and pictures.

Gary
A great resource
This is an ideal Bible for any child including children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The pictures are beautiful, the text clear and easy to read, the format is open and spacious, and the stories are well done. The only negative is the weight of the book which may be too heavy for some children. A lighter weight book would have been preferable. Still, this is a great resource to help our special needs children learn the Bible.
Jessica S
