Jessica Brody's Novel Revision Course at the Writing Mastery Academy has been immensely helpful in debugging my revision process

This course absolutely helped me demystify the revision process. Instead of spinning my wheels working on page-level fiddling like I've always done in the past, I was able to do a thorough restructuring of my novel and make it so much better.

This is a MIRACLE. Jessica and associates are fantastic. If this writing school had only existed 50 years ago when I racked up 700 rejections, over six novels - which I am totally convinced, I screwed up because I didn't have any clear plan to revise. I spent the first 6 weeks of my self-edit, before doing this course, meandering and floundering as I tried to find a process. Once I started the course things started to happen and make sense. The best thing is, as I now draft news stories, I am employing a lot of the elements, making the draft cleaner and tighter.

Jessica's approach to the descending revisions, from Story level to Scene to Page level feels like a warm, weighted blanket to the anxiety that I've been feeling about how to approach revisions as I near completing my first draft. Seriously. Between that and thinking of myself as Drafting Karen and Future Karen, which takes an unbelievable pressure off the drafting process, I'm finally able to just write. Biggest breakthrough was the practical understanding of the 'editing passes' via the Story, Scene and Page levels. I've heard it a million times, but it never clicked until I heard it explained in this way. This has helped me to understand why my revising has always 'gotten away from me.'

The course was easy to understand with lots of examples and covered a huge variety of topics. It is the most comprehensive course on revision I have encountered.
